[Q] Screen Brightness

hi, i'm using HTC Desire HD with leedroid rom and kernel.
i read that to save more battery, i must turn down the screen brightness to a low level. but i want to use the auto brightness function but sometimes it isnt accurate to the environment(sorry for bad english). uhm any tweaks or mods that has customized auto brightness? thanks in advance guys
I found that the best thing to do is to do it manualy by using the brightness level app on the market which has a slider on it.
I use Tasker to set the screen brightness to levels defined by me in response to ambient light levels. Takes some experimentation to get it working right, but it's worth it.
Or then you can switch to CM7 as it has all screen adjustments built in the settings i.e automatic screen dimming level adjustments, different levels etc etc.

[Q] Minimum brightness is too bright

Hello, I'm using a "stock" bassed ROM and DoomKernel 13, and I want to know if there is any method to reduce the minimum brightness level, because that minimum is too bright yet for me and my battery
In MIUI I remember I can decrease brightness untill screen backlight turns almost off.
Thanks

[Q] Decreasing screen brightness under 20 on rooted stock JB 4.1.1

Whatever program I use, I cannot lower the display brightness below 20. I did my best to search the forum as well as the web, but couldn't really find an answer to this. Sorry if I am (possibly) repeating..
I am on stock rooted JB 4.1.1.
My question:
How can I user lower brightness levels? Do I really need a modified kernel for this?
Thanks.
How did u know its 20 % ?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
it is not %20. It is 20. Screen brightness level can be set as a value between 0-255.
BTW, I am not talking about stock brightness slider in the status bar. Root applications like RootDim or Tasker allows you to set brightness in terms of actual brightness level. However, values under 20 don't have any effect on decreasing brightness..

Edit or adjust screen brightness

Hi,
I always dim my screen 15-20% lower then the automatic mode do. Can i set it permanently lower between the lux-variables which are linked to 0-80% screen brightness?
Is this understandable?
For example: 20% screen brightness is set to 140lux
50% to 250lux.
I want to increase the lux or reduce the %.
It was so simple on my old Nexus 5 with Cyanogenmod ;D
Is there a xposed module or a app to edit the settings?
I dont want a app-icon in statusbar or a widget.
Thanks

Lux Auto Brightness app can do that but it's paid (not necessarily)
But with Lux i always have a ugly symbol in statusbar and it doesnt work like i want it to work.
What settings i should make in Lux?
GravityBox Xposed Module

Any pie rom with boosted brightness???

My current daily driver is mokee 8.1.0 rom, i finally wanna switch to pie, i tried a few pie roms but i noticed low brightness outdoors and screen was too dim on pie, where as on mokee oreo it is bright enough outdoors. At 50 percent brightness oreo is way brighter than pie rom.
If there is any pie rom with proper brightness do let me know?????
Auto brightness or adaptive brightness i prefer to keep off and use manual slider for brightness..
Brightness is the same it's just that Google changed the values in the sliding bar, so you need to turn it up in order to achieve similar brightness to oreo. Battery consumption will be the same tho
