Hello,
I have a LG G3 D855 EUROPE. I can't flash any KDZ or TOT File, try with LG UP, LG Flash Tool, and LG Flash Tools 2014 and other.
On download mode, when flashing, the phone reboot and software lost connection to phone (when writing system).
The only way for me, is to reboot phone on Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 and flash all partition with BoardDiag.
Writing all partition, even system and userdata. Then the phone can boot with KitKat stock rom. But when the phone boot correctly, the phone will reboot after 2 minute sometime, sometime 1 hours etc ... With green screen TZ Crash, or Black screen Kernel crash ... not always the same error.
BoardDiag emmc test report No error.
I think there is a hardware problem ? But how to debug ? Can it be only the connector charge ? Or is a motheboard problem ? (emmc or dram ?)
Is there a way to use SDCard for system ?
Thank you

Try formatting your LG G3
Power button + volume down (like when you go to TWRT recovery)and a dialog will appear "Factory reset" (or something like that).
Greetings.

Thx for reply. Already done. Wipe data do nothing. Kdz alway with error. Only boardiag can write image partition without error. But bootloop. I try to flash another tot file LGD855AT-00-V10b-HKG-16G (no europe) with boardiag. But after flashing, the phone have black screen, can't boot. Download mode and recovery is working fine.
I realy think there is a hardware problem
Battery give 3.7 Volts. When charge > 70%, the battery gave 3.8 Volts and the phone can boot with charger.
I think there is a problem with battery. With 2 amper charger, and a full charge 100%, i can boot the phone with charger plugins. I will order a new battery.

already try 30B (MM), 20A (Lollipop) and multiple 10 (kitkat) 10e 10f 10a. With LGUP, LG Flash Tool 1.8, LG Flashtool 2014.
ALL TOT, and KDZ give an error "lost connection" because phone is shuting down, or reboot (battery default) during process.
Only when phone is on Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 i can fly partition with BoardDiag (because Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 not using battery)
i have order a new battery

Hi, this is my mini guide to recovery in original lg e975... If any method does not work then use this!!
I have test it on my lg e975 bricked thanks twp recovery e970 !!! kdz not working ... error!!!
1- buy this cable to set usb 910k or similar cable important is "mode 910k"(http://www.ebay.com/itm/4in1-Micro-...999-P990-P970-flash-unlock-MORE-/261019033382)
2- download LG MOBILE SUPPORT TOOL from http://www.lg.com/sg/support-mobile/lg-Optimus-G-LG-E975
3- shutdown phone
4- connect cable to 910k at phone
5- start lg support tool and install driver
6- you will see that lg support tool has found your phone
7- go in support > Emergency & recovery mode> write your imei and press check (wait 1 minute after "OK" to start upgrade tool) upgrade process is 10-15 minutes
7-after upgrade is finished it restart phone automatically
If you have change partition after update could stuck on logo lg ... how to fix it:
- shutdown phone and press hold key volume- and power for 15s and it reset software-
Sorry my bad english!!!!!!!
I have done these steps with the regular cable that came with my phone lol. No special cable needed.
you can get into the flash mode by holding down vol up and vol down while connecting it to USB.
If you can enter download mode, you can use KDZ updater, without any problems. LG mobile tool will work only on stock rom.If you are on custom rom,no luck with it.
Besides, with kdz updater you don't have to wait everytime to download the KDZ from lg server, you can use local image.
But if you can't enter download mode, the only way is the JTAG.
But if I have problems to flash with kdz and yet also "LG support tool", but I can get into download mode, how can I fix it?
I have the animated LG logo bootloop after trying to flash via kdz with CM11 installed ...
G support tool gets stuck at 15, but unplugging the USB cable from e975 and reattaching it, the procedure is completed, but say me: Battery level low even though I have 100%. Why?
Bye, Thanks
KDZ updater not working
I had TWRP 3.0.0 then i tried to flash lower version i think it is TWRP2.5.6, after i flashed it i restarted and went to recovery mode, but there was no recovery mode, only black screen... I tried with KDZ updater to flash stock rom V10H but after KDZ extracts files, connect to phone, says that its starting to s/w upgrade and my phone restarts and goes to fastboot mode, and KDZ updater stays like that, doesn't do anything, I tried it on two different computers, Win 10 and Win XP.. I still have my software on (ubuntu touch by mordesku) but i want to go back to CWM. Can somebody help me?

Hi guys,
Some people including me faced Hard brick issue with LG G4, which has now two solutions. the first is temporary, i discovered it and it involves using an SD card flashed with Original EMMC dump ( i tested it with H815 ands H811) , the second needs advanced hardware, equipment and soldering skills ( JTAG) .
The solution that i want to explore is trying to revive the phone with the SD card.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/development/unbrick-lg-g4-h811-9008-qualcomm-t3456417
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/development/unbrick-lg-g4-h815-9008-qualcomm-t3452853
The H811 dump that i made has TWRP recovery and unlocked bootlloader, so if someone know how to help that would be awesome.
How ???, its very simple. I dont have very good UNIX architecture skills , but if the SoC successfully booted from the SD card. We could see if it detects the EMMC memory ( with parted or with LS command). I personally Tried to brow /dev/block directory from TWRP i hoped to find MMCBLK1 or something but that was unsuccessful , im pretty sure the TWRP or the Soc Does not mount it automatically .
I really dont know How , but i'm very Sure that there is a Solution headed that way , So if some one is Good with Unix architecture and can find a way to soft Flash the EMMC from TWRP ( installed in the SD card ) it would be very Nice
hi,i tried the sd card method...it boots but immediately gives me secure boot error (1006).
i have an h815 bl locked
Hello
I have LG H815 and have bricked. I have installed wrong firmware so it is brick now.
I try new tot file with QPST . but it says fail what s wrong with me?
My computer is win 10 64 bit
You can fix fastboot mode with this way.
1. First you need to download stock rom that your phone supported. extract laf.img file from rom and copy it into fastboot directory
2. download LG Flash Tool and make it ready
3. open flash tool and load firmware and dll that support your model.
open command prompt and make sure you in fastboot directory where the fastboot and related files are stored.
Run following commands.
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot erase laf
fastboot flash laf laf.img
fastboot reboot

Hurry up, now you need to start flash with lg flash tool, if device does not start into download mode. remove battery and insert again, press and hold Vol Up btn and plug USB cable it will boot into download mode. and your device com port should be 41, if not change it in device manager. and start LG Flash tool to load stock rom. once it finish loading rom your device will start and will show you factory test 1, 2, or 3. if it stuck there more than 3-5 minutes. reboot your phone. now you will have welcome screen.
I hope this will work with supported models.

lol, when you see a screen with 0% and a usb connected image, that mean your battery dead
why not just try to charge your phone? or replace a battery?

Hello, well after what happened I thought the same and went to buy another battery and when they tried it did not work, I repeat, not fastboot, no logo, no recovery, only a small vibration without screen, it is not detected by the PC in any of its modes as dead, the detail is that this happened after restarting when I had flashed bootloader N, rom V30, magiistic, I gave it restart and it did not turn on again, so I discard that it is hardware .
I think the problem was that I flashed the bootloader with full aboot, that gave me hardbrick I was told in a forum in Spanish I leave the link I hope you help me thanks
https://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=1397519 use this method to unlock the bootloader
Hey MichaelCV
I have exactly the same problem with my LG G4 H815p. I was running [ROM][H815] H-ROM G4 NOUGAT [v29a] _ LG G4. The phone was up and running and last night I flashed the "LG-H815_29a_Modem_and_Bootloader.zip" to try resolve an issue I was having with the mobile data indicator not showing. I flashed the zip in TWRP, rebooted the phone and now it is bricked. I have exactly the same symptoms as you. Windows and FWUL does not see the phone, no matter what combination of keypressed etc that I try.
Lets hope we find a solution here for it.
Chris
1st- try the following method
http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-lg-g3/general/guide-fix-hard-brick-recovery-guide-t3132359
2nd- you fail to unbrick or the following error occurs
>>>> EMMC test fail
this is due to dry soldering of EMMC chip
in such case use a HEAT GUN and give heat on the EMMC chip...
leave it for 30 minutes then insert battery and plug cable into phone while hold volume up key.
hope: it will be booted into download mode.
>>>> NOW install the stock tot & dll.
NOTE: DO NOT OVERHEAT THE MOTHER BOARD OTHERWISE IT WILL BE DEAD
i also had the same problem with my LG G3 (F400K)
i tried a lot but failed some time it was booted into download mode and failed to install tot & dll at 99% or sometimes 6%.
after removing and re connecting battery, it show QHSUSB DLOAD 9008 & never booted into download mode.
after 30 to 40 minutes it was being booted into download mode and so on.
i used a heat gun and NOW MY LG F400K IS WORKING FINE AND USING CUSTOM FULMICS ROM 6.6
Is it really emmc problem? I have the exact problem like you describe. Like hard to boot into download mode.
Even if it does it will fail at flashing using Lg flash tool.
Sometime boarddiag would give me emmc test fail. So, i have to re-short over and over again.
Also If i use different firmware like vs985, with just single attempt boom it boot into download mode.
Btw mine is D858HK
Hi all
It all happens after the screen was suddenly froze and having to take the battery out.
When turned on, the phone had a red/blue led problem.
It was first solved using the LGFlashTool V1.8.6.527 to flash in the LGF400LAT-00-V10a-LGU-KR-MAY-18-2014-0 tot. The phone was reverted to the original firmware and was functional.
Then I wished to upgrade to the latest stock fw (F400L30c_00_1217) using LG Tool 2014. Unfortunately this buggy program prompted connection to server failed and the text was messed up with ????? in the pop up LGUserCSTool window. It was force closed by the system so the whole process could not be completed. I pulled out the battery again(which I now think that I shouldn't do) and after restarting the download mode was ruined.
I tried to fix it using the short pin method here and if rescued would re-flash the tot using the LGFlashTool.
The problem is LGFlashTool did not allow me to do it this time with Model Information Check Fail just like others in this forum https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/help/model-information-check-fail-t3163715
Having received the message "Model Information" fail, I thought it was due to the firmware version mismatch so I decided to give the LG Tool 2014 a try, again.
I was learnt to ignore the connection fail message to let it run in the background.
However, this time it ended up at around 65% and now the download mode has gone.
Each time the power+vol up combination ends up being detected as qhsusb_bulk, a.k.a Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008
Not sure if the pins were physically damage during the shorting.
I have a thought. Is there any tool to convert kdz -> tot?
I know there is one to extract the bin, dz from kdz but I need tot to use in the boarddiag (as I think maybe the v30c firmware information has written into the phone by LG tool causing the LGFlashTool V1.8.6.527 to reject writing in)
What is the boarddiag for? Is it performing the same as adb/fastboot to erase/flash partition?
Or are there any workouts?
Thanks for reading and helping me.
it's so weird...yesterday it was stuck at qhsusb_bulk mode
so after placing for a day, it was detected as ABD interface today
and it was booted into fastboot mode.
I managed to erase partition but not flash..tried fastboot boot twrp.img
it restarted with a black screen and this time was detected as lge AndroidNet USB Serial Port
have tried the lg flashtool but no luck
Followed by that, I had applied the short pin method to restore the partitions again..
afterwards, i could manage to get in qhsusb_bulk only...
lets see if it could be in ABD interface tomorrow
btw, any ways to fix the download mode by the fastboot method given the bootloader was locked?
I was finally able to reflash using the tot file
but after flashing the phone reboots into black screen with flashing blue/red led just like previously(bricked status)
the phone was unable to connect as LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port too
therefore, the flash tool could not complete
any idea for a fix?

you need to heat your processor to open download mode
