Looking at getting the quad core international version of the HTC One X.
Just wanted to know what all will work on T-Mobile USA only.
1. 3G?
2. HSPA+?
3. Regular voice calls?
Please use search within the forum, this subject has been discussed previously.

Voice calls and 2G data. That's it.
Unless you live in certain parts of California that have the 1900mhz band refarmed to 3G, this is ALL you will get.

If you really want it, you can use a hotspot like I am. The hotspot is small and the battery lasts about ~10 hours. I just connect my One X to it, throw it in my back pack and forget about it for the day

Do you have to buy the $14.99/month smartphone hotspot plan or a seperate hotspot plan with the router?

Of course if you do the hotspot you don't need data service on tour phone.

no..it uses edge so basically you will be having 2g connection unless you live an area where tmo has refarmed their 1900 spectrum to handle 3G..get the att version if you want to have 3g

It will "work", but I'm not sure how well. You will for sure get basic voice and text, as well as 2g data, and I think ATT and T-mobile share one LTE band, so if the LTE where you are is on that band, you should get that as well. However, I think their HSPA+ bands are different as well as their 3g bands, so you might not be able to get those. Someone may correct me though, as I'm new to T-mobile (and GSM) so I may be wrong on the 3g and HSPA+ part.
Yes, it will work. T-Mobile M8 will work on AT&T network for 2G, 3G, 4G, and LTE. T-Mobile M8 and AT&T M8 are the same phone, except the T-Mobile M8 has more bands to support T-Mobile's network.
This is AFAIK, if I am incorrect, someone please correct me.

After sim unlock yes

In short: 3G will work, but since AT&T’s 3G network is limited to 21 Mbps, you will only get half of the potential speed. 4G will mostly work, but the T-Mobile version does not have the radio/antenna for AT&T’s 1900 MHz network, meaning you can only get 700 MHz and AWS. 700 MHz 4G should be nationwide, though. See the deals below.

Just to be clear, you want to take a T-Mobile M8 and use it on AT&T, correct? I’m assuming this is the case since you are in the T-Mobile M8 forum.

You’re close, but the T-Mobile version had fewer LTE bands. Just FYI, 4G is LTE (bad marketing not withstanding). Here are the frequencies of the T-Mobile and AT&T M8s:
2G/2.5G - GSM/GPRS/EDGE:
850/900/1800/1900 MHz
3G - WCDMA:
AT&T: 850/1900/2100 MHz with HSPA+ up to 21 Mbps
TMUS: 850/AWS/1900/2100 MHz with HSPA+ up to 42 Mbps
4G - LTE:
AT&T: 700/850/AWS/1800/1900/2600 MHz
TMUS: 700/AWS MHz

Note that 4G on AWS and 1900 varies depending on the market, so you need to find out if they offer it on those frequencies in your area. You should get 700 MHz everywhere.

Yes LTE works and it's fast but what doesn't work is I can't send and receive pictures no matter what I try to fix it
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
Anyone yet know how to fix this without root? I'm not able to send and receive pictures even with the correct apn settings set.

If you're a current T-Mobile customer, I'd call their customer service and ask if they could help. I'm not sure if this helps.

Im wanting to know also. I might switch to att in november, and it would be nice to know for a fact that my tmo m8 will work, instead of buying a new phone.

Can't we just flash AT&T radio and stock ROM?
Have a TMO M8 and wondering about the same.
Should I return and bite $50 restocking fee or there is a way to make it fully functional on AT&T? Need to make this call in a day or two. Please help.

Thanks.
Will it work with AT&T stock rom?
I'm more concerned about radio as there are some differences I'm the bands that they use. Hate to find only 2G in some areas

Hi... sorry to drag this back up but looking at purchasing a T-Mobile M8 on Craigslist and using it on AT&T.
If I sim unlock the phone, install say a stock GPe ROM and the WWE radio... it should unlock all the LTE bands for use on AT&T? And the rest of the world, correct?
Just trying to confirm before I buy this.
Thanks guys!
aaron
It should work, I have an unlocked T-Mobile m8, flashed cm11 and still work on att
Works
I have a t-mobile M8 and using ATT sim card. I can send pictures.
Everything is working pretty good. At least in my area. (San Diego)
*Running Viper Rom.
Okay all, I've got a T-Mobile M8 S-Off and Sim Unlocked using it on Straight Talk AT&T Sim. If I switch to LTE only I keep amazing 4G service but if I don't over half the time in the same area I'm on H. Any idea why this is? Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere that switches to H if the LTE goes below a certain strength? With my Nexus 5 I never lose it so I am wondering also since I can set it as 4g only and keep service (but can't call out on LTE only setting) All help is appreciated.

That's about a UK cable provider possibly getting service disrupted due to 4G rolling out? Not sure how that helps? Maybe wrong link?

Just to make sure we're on the same page here, are you using the *#*#4636#*#* menu? If so, which settings have you tried?
On my Sprint M7, we had a similar issue where it would work great with "LTE only" selected from the menu, but that would mean no calls or texts. "LTE, CDMA" would hold LTE longer than the default setting (CDMA + LTE/EvDo auto) and allow for calls/texts, but if we lost LTE, we'd be stuck with 1X data.
If you haven't yet, try the "LTE, WCDMA" setting.

1x, yes. 3G, maybe in certain areas. LTE, no. M7VZW doesn't support Tmobile's LTE frequencies.
Just like grey said. In some areas you can get H+ if that area was refarmed for the frequency our phones support. Like in the greater Phoenix area, I tried a friends T-Mobile SIM and got H+ running ViperONE

I would use their phone trade in thing to get an M8. You should get about $150 off when you trade in your M7.
