Hi,
is there any setting that allows me to disable quick setting being pull down while phone is still lock? currently i'm on Leedroid 3.1.0 already search in extra tweak, but failed to find one.
i've got an issue with my earphone, I'm listening to music with HTC music app instead of Google music. usually the button on my earphone can be control the music app (double clicking = next song) but didn't work in Leedroid 3.1.0 with HTC music app. can anyone help me? btw I'm also flashing acoustiX v31

I've had my Galaxy Nexus for a week and a half now and at first I thought the new feature of music controls appearing on the lockscreen was being a bit buggy as sometimes I would not see them on the lockscreen while I was actively playing music on the phone. After paying closer attention to it though, it looks like what's actually happening is that the music controls just flat out don't show up on the lockscreen unless the Google Music app is open and showing on the phone's screen.
In other words, if you start playing music via the widget on one of your home screens by pressing the "play" button and thus do NOT fully open the Google Music app and bring it up on the screen, the lockscreen controls won't appear.
Does this ring true for you other Galaxy Nexus owners? If so, I have to say that I am *extremely* annoyed by this behavior with the lockscreen controls. I do not want to have to actually open the music app, bring it up to the screen and then select "play" just to have the lockscreen show the music controls. Having to go through that defeats a big chunk of the reason and benefit of having a widget for the music app! I just want to be able to hit "play" on the widget and go from there.
Anyone else able to verify this is how things also work on their own GNexus?
Thanks for sharing your info on this!
I don't have this issue with the Music app. As long as its playing, background or not, it will show up with controls on the lockscreen.
I am running a custom rom however I don't think that portion of the rom has been edited.

Hmm...okay, thanks for the feedback! Interesting to know because my stock Galaxy Nexus def has this problem on a regular basis.
Anyone running a stock GNexus care to comment?
I'm running a stock Galaxy Nexus and had the same issue. I eventually found that the "headset button controller" app (a third-party one) was disabling the lockscreen controls...
Had the problem on both stock ROM and bugless beast. Just switched to aokp 25 today hoping it will go away..
I also dont experience this when i have GoogleMusic installed instead of AOSP Music (which does not have lockscreen controls, if i recall it right).
currently running:
self-built aosp kang (aosp/master)
tweaked stock kernel 3.0.8
I'm the OP for this thread and just thought I'd comment since it's been "brought back from the dead" with some new posts.
Back in December when I was asking about this issue I actually managed to have a conversation about this issue with someone from Google who is part of the Google Music team and it turns out this issue was a bug they had missed. They said they would fix it in an update to Google Music and sure enough, about 2-3 weeks later they pushed out an update that fixed it.
I never ran into this issue again after that update, so just wanted to share the info.
Got my lockscreen music controls back!

I have been wondering for months why my lockscreen music controls were gone and uninstalling "Jays Headset Controls" brought them back! Thank you!
I just got my first 4.2 ROM. It's XenonHD and my music controls are no longer there.. Otherwise I like the ROM.. Argh..
Just and update, the music controls Are back, I don't to it was xenonhd that was causing it. I restarted and now it works so I dunno

I've been looking everywhere for a widget that can control the music like skip, Pause, play for the default player. I couldn't believe android lacks such a simple feature; when I had an iPod touch, whilst the screen was locked, double clicking the home screen would bring up the pause/play, skip buttons.
Whereas now when the screen is locked, I have to unlock the screen to get to the music player to be able to change the track etc.
MIUI Roms have this feature... And the PlayerPRO also has it. You have to turn on in program's Settings

Dont want to flash a new rom on it. Don't want to change the default player either, as I've tried others and are more ram hungry than the default player.
its depend on stock roms, you cant say all android roms has no feature like that,in android you can have everything that iphone has and not, just try search this forum..

Then, I think there's only one other option, get a LiveView (soon SmartWatch) or a wireless headset.
Dosent the Default Android in Arc S got a music Player Widget?!
It does!
And well, There are better alternatives out there!

But the thing is with Winamp or Poweramp, they're more RAM hungry (i.e. they use up a lot more RAM) than the original Music Player.
The Default music player does have a widget, but it is permanently on screen and doesn't disappear when the music is turned off, as I would like to have one on my lockscreen and would like to control my music from there i.e. skip tracks etc rather than having to unlock then go to the widget.
With WidgetLocker Lockscreen you can put a music player widget on your lockscreen
Try this app and enable lockscreen controls from settings menu.
I know its not a stock replacement app but its worth a try..
btw,its free

remote
you can try "music remote" in market place
it adds on to your player and create a remote for your player .... you can even use your hand free to create a remote
good luck
Hi,
I am using jdroid and used google play music for my music related stuff.
Apparently the lockscreen music control doesnt always work. And when it does it doesnt work as intended.
It shows the buttons and the buttons do their job but they dont animate when paused or played, nor when i change tracks, it stays on the same album art and song track(on the screen onlg but it did change tracks).
Any solution to this?

Hi, I am having the exact same issue as you mentioned. Did you resolve it ?
Do some one know how can I make Google music control on the lock screen? I hate the stock music app. Can someone please help. Thanks
Hi, im using the popular app JetAudio as a music player on my A50. It was fine until I upgraded to Android 10, now i see that, while music is playing, it is not possible anymore to have a customized lock screen with music controls, song info, album cover, etc.
I tried other apps but apparently the stuff that can be displayed on lock screen is strictly controlled by Samsung.
Is there any alternative music player allowing to show music info on lock screen, or any workaround, or shall I only wait and hope that an update from Samsung wil reintroduce this feature?
Regards, and thanks in advance for any reply!

I tried, but JetAudio is way more configurable, a better equaliser, and thanks to its DSP opions, "sounds better"
Having music info on lock screen is a plus, after all...
Thanks for your reply!
