I flashed viper4android, and as a noob, i didn't realize it was for android mm (i'm running oos4). After flashing it, when i rebooted my phone didn't detect my sim card. I have tried everything from wiping system to factory reset. I have stock kernel and twrp 3.0.2-1.28.

Recently I unlocked bootloader of xperia m and got stuck into bootloop so I flashed 4.1.2 after that I used fastboot method to install twrp recovery and installed custom rom from here (https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-m/development/rom-resurrection-remix-nougat-v5-8-0-t3512094) now as my phone is single sim one there will be no problem but as it came to the setup screen after clicking next it told me insert sim card so I reinserted but nothing happens. After this I thought to reinstall custom rom but to my utter surprise it does not boot into twrp recovery but it boots into some unknown recovery. So again I fastboot and installed twrp and again installed the custom rom but nothing changes sim does not work. Now I thought to flash stock rom but I cant't do that too it showing me unknown device. So what shall I do now to get out of this situation.
Please Help Me
So I had installed magisk to my phone, got it working and flashed it to my boot part. Then went to factory reset my phone I unchecked the esim box thing and now when I start my phone it doesn't see the sim as being in the phone or is able to see any wifi networks. Not sure what I broke by doing this or if it's just the lack of magisk being on the phone since it did a wipe. I wonder if I can just flash it over in fastboot.

I had that problem after applying a theme with substratum. I had to reflash the phone following the instruction posted in the link below.

So as the title says, i was flashing the stock ROM trough adb. After everything finished i noticed that the only thing that doesnt work is that the phone cant detect the SIM card. Tried to flash another ROM but the problem is still there. Before flashing those 2 ROMs everything worked fine. Any solution?
So at first it works perfectly until I can't mount my data on twrp, so i decided to format my data storage to ext2 and format it back to ext4.
And then nothing's happen, and I decided to boot into my system and stuck at the boot loop, I tried to fix the problem by reinstalling the rom and nothing change, still stuck at the boot loop
and then I tried to flash the stock firmware and it works!, since I don't really like the original firmware I decided to back to installing the rom and nothing strange until on the installation page the phone can't detect my sim card. I've tried almost everything I know including re-installing the stock firmware, re-installing the rom, and install other AOSP rom (LOS 17) as a comparison and still can't detect the sim card.
Anyone know the solution?
thanks
* I was using the EvolutionX rom
Hello,
i have a note 8 with 64gb memory and originally wanted to run it with the ligthrom v50. I installed twrp and the rom, unfortunately celluar network didn't work after that. So i decided to go back to the stock rom.
I downloaded the latest fw via samfirm and wanted to flash it via odin. This worked too, but the phone only showed 16Gb memory, so I read that a wipe/factory reset would solve the problem. Unfortunately without success. When I reset the phone, it is always stuck in boot mode. If I then go to recovery I always see "dm-verity verification failed".
I tried to fix this error with flashing e.g. according to this instruction, but unfortunately without success.
i tried other tutorials, but nothing helped. as soon as i do a wipe/factory reset the phone won't work anymore...
Is my cell phone really gone now?
