I'm running ViperOneM8 6.1.0 on my M8 Developer Edition. Everything seems to work with one expection: When connected to bluetooth (headphones, car, whatever), the bluetooth back button has no effect. Forward, play/pause, call functions all work.
I'm not experiencing the same problem with ARHD or stock ROM.
Anyone experienced this? Is there a simple fix or app you'd recommend?
Thanks!
I'm experiencing the same problem with my bluetooth connections.

Since I got this phone back in may I have had a constant issue with crappy sound quality when using bluetooth. I connect it to my car stereo or a bt headset and I get either low radio quality sound or normal sound quality with a static hiss or bump every so often. The problem is persistent through pandora and last.fm. My laptop can stream bt to both of my audio devices perfectly fine.
I have tried several different roms (pre RC cyan, to RC cyan, skyraider 2.5 vanille, stock 2.2, and currently skyraider 3.3.2 sense).
Does anyone have a solution to this?
Thanks
First thing I would try as trouble shooting is disable wifi when you use your bluetooth products.
Weather you see improvement our not, the second thing I would look at is all of my market apps to see if they are wifi or bluetooth apps. Disable/Uninstall suspect apps.
This may not be the solution, but it's where I would start in hopes of a simple solution.
I should have mentioned in my op that I had disabled wifi already.
I disabled all my apps except pandora. This did not fix it. Good idea though.
New so can't comment in the IceColdSandwich thread.
When I connect my inspire Bluetooth to the car It works fine. Issue is after I turn off Bluetooth I only hear sound from the ear speaker not the back speaker.
Ringing, notifications, everything uses the ear speaker from that point until I shutdown and restart the phone.
I worked fine in the previous icecoldsandwich version but just updated to 8.1.1. This is the only issue I have had so far.
Have you tried to switch rom? on my opinion its the rom issue.
Go back to the ROM that was working. Keep in mind that any custom ROM is going to have a bug, so always remember to have a version that satisfies all your needs.
Hi guys,
I hope I'm posting this in the right section coz I wasnt allowed to post a reply in the actual Maximus ROM thread. I had a stock international HTC One X which I rooted and flashed with Maximus v8.5 ROM. I followed all the instructions and believe I did everything properly. Everything seems to be working fine but whenever I use my wired headset in apps like talk, viber etc. I keep hearing myself through the headphones whenever I speak into the microphone. Also the other person's voice is not as loud or clear as before. I have tried different headphones but the problem persists. I don't experience any problem while listening to music etc. it is only during calls that it acts weird. Has anyone else encountered such a problem? Could it be a hardware or software problem? and is there any fix since it is extremely annoying.
I have a bluetooth dongle in my car which connects via the Aux In socket and this streams music through the speakers. When the phone rings it also comes through the speakers, however I cannot be heard by the caller, so I assume the phone's microphone is being disabled. When hardwired between phone and Aux In the microphone does not shut off. I have played around in the settings on the phone and cant see anything which helps, can anyone advise if it is possible to configure the phone to keep the microphone on.
Many thanks

Many thanks for that. I will try some different ROMs and kernels, (although s2w is even more important !)
I have tried Magio Rom also upgraded to Venom 4.0.7 and also stock, Alex V and Lyapota's kernels but still the same issue no microphone when connected to bluetooth, you can switch to speakerphone or normal use and the microphone works just not when connected by bluetooth. Can anyone advise if this is likely to be a ROM or Kernel issue... many thanks

i have the same situation and same issue on SGS3 with omnirom 442. i assumed it was a functional limitation of A2DP
So, I have this very odd issue. And it seems to be regarless of ROM. Anytime I use google voice search or make a voice call, after my M8 switches back to music the play back sounds almost like I am listening it through a fan. And the weirdest part is that it doesn't matter if it is hard wired or through bluetooth (either way using a bluetooth handsfree for the voice portion). Anyone else had any similar issues? Ironically I am pretty sure my M7 and maybe even my One X had similar issues.
In terms of set up, I use an LG HBS730 Aptx Headset for hiking and walking to work, then a pioneer bluetooth enabled car stereo but I hardwire for the music (calls switch over to bluetooth). Both have the same issue. Only way to fix is a reboot.

It has. I'm going to download a GPE and maybe Venom and try them. Just do a quick and dirty set up and try each.

This is the first time I've seen this issue. I've tried stock Sense, GPE, and currently run SlimKat, and don't have the issue. I'll either listen through the main speakers, or a Jaybirds BlueBuds X (amazing BT headphones) and haven't had the issue on any of the ROMs.
I'd be interested to hear back if it happens with an AOSP ROM.
