A2DP Dongle / Phone Mic - HTC One X

I have a bluetooth dongle in my car which connects via the Aux In socket and this streams music through the speakers. When the phone rings it also comes through the speakers, however I cannot be heard by the caller, so I assume the phone's microphone is being disabled. When hardwired between phone and Aux In the microphone does not shut off. I have played around in the settings on the phone and cant see anything which helps, can anyone advise if it is possible to configure the phone to keep the microphone on.
Many thanks

Many thanks for that. I will try some different ROMs and kernels, (although s2w is even more important !)

I have tried Magio Rom also upgraded to Venom 4.0.7 and also stock, Alex V and Lyapota's kernels but still the same issue no microphone when connected to bluetooth, you can switch to speakerphone or normal use and the microphone works just not when connected by bluetooth. Can anyone advise if this is likely to be a ROM or Kernel issue... many thanks

Bluetooth car Handsfree problem..

I posses a sgs2 with a bluetooth problem... I have no problem pairing or connecting to the car kit (pioneer DEH7350BT)
but when I do, and making/recieveing a call, I can hear the other side just greatly but the other side CANNOT hear me.... I have tried everything... and YES it do work with other phones (such as Se Naite, iphone 4 and etc) those other phones are working great with it (the other side CAN hear me)
but with my sgs2 it doesnt...
also sgs2 wont let me transmit music using the bluetooth...
any solution anyone? please? I have tried everything! pairing and unpairing, tried few diff roms, taking out battery, tried EVERYTHING...
please help...
anyone??? please??
i dont have a media option...
I guess that what screws things up...
anyone else might help please?

I doubt it's that important you have to bump the thread every hour or so.
Unpair both devices completely and repair them again. It might not be pairing both modes.
You can also see if HFP is enabled in the /etc/bluetooth/audio.conf file via the Root Explorer app.
I use music and handsfree just fine with my SGS2 and my cheap Panasonic head unit. If the 2 options aren't there under the bluetooth device, then it's a pairing issue.
I have paired my device several times in various cars and never had to do any special configuration. I've always worked fine for the first try.

Does your phone pair properly with other car based bluetooth?
If not, it may be the kernel.
I had successful pairing with my original dlev rom in both of my cars and intermittent problems answering or my the other side could not hear my voice. Solution was to switch the kernel.
Hope this helps.
to what kernel you switched?! that exacly my issue! please answer
If you're having that much problem with it, pick up wired headphones with mic (or use the ones that came with the phone). I switched from bluetooth to these and will never look back.
but i need to use bluetooth due to the car's speakers....
thats the whole thing...
Bluetooth is car is always a matter of luck to me.
Feling lucky because I can manage it with my SG2 better than with my previous phone, the original I7000 galay
well that info isnt really helpful
anyone else might help please?
anyone????????
Are you 100% sure the car player has compatible a2dp music streaming?
If so then both headset and media options should be available in the Bluetooth pairing options.

Did you ever solve this issue? I am having the same problems with the same deck and phone.
Cheers.
It is not the phone, it's your dash unit. You'd be better off contacting Pioneer or whoever makes your aftermarket unit.
My SGS2 has sync'd and made calls perfectly via BT since day 1 with my Nissan GT-R... everything is stock Nissan though.

How to use A2DP in Galaxy Nexus?

I just bought a bluetooth headset (plantronics M50, bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP), the phone call is OK, but when I play video, music, the speaker of phone is on, the headset not work, need additional setup? need addtional apps? how?
You shouldn't need any additional apps. When your phone connects it should connect with two "profiles", one for the phone and one for the audio (A2DP).
In the manual for your headset, does it tell you that you need to switch to a certain mode to hear a2dp audio?
solved, just reboot the phone, and you can chose phone audio or media audio in bluetooth setting interface.
I need bluetooth help please

(NOTE - I WOULD START A NEW TOPIC, BUT CANNOT AS I DONT HAVE ENOUGH COMMENTS TO DO SO).......
Just got a new car (Mercedes Benz GL450), and trying to pair my GN to the bluetooth functionality of the car. First off - the car doesnt even support Bluetooth audio, which was a major disappointment, but it has an ipod dock (yes, it is a 2012 $80,000 truck that doesnt have a usb, or basic features that a freeking $15,000 hyundai). Either way, I can connect my GN to the bluetooth phone feature no problem, it pairs, and automatically connects with no issues. I bought a coolstream A2DP bluetooth receiver (http://www.amazon.com/CoolStream-Bluetooth-Receiver-Speakers-docking/dp/B008EL58YA) to plug into the ipod dock. The GN sees it, i try to pair, enter the password, and it wont connect to it. I have read forums all over the internet about how the GN Bluetooth has many issues - does anyone have a solution??
I read here (http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=24012) that i should toggle airplane mode, switch bluetooth on/off, reboot phone, and bluetooth receiver, etc.... it all doesnt work. Tried A2DP Volume - not the issue, it just wont pair after i enter the password.
I am currently rooted on 4.1.1 XenonHD ROM with Franco Kernal, have tried it with 4.1.1 Vicious Jellybean/Faux Kernal as well - no luck.
Going to try it with 4.1.1 AXI0M ROM, and see what happens..................
Has anyone else run into this issue on any other ROM, that can suggest a fix - note - I am good with flashing roms, kernals, mods, etc....but if you ask me to code, i am clueless.
Thanks to anyone that can help
2008 GL450, only old **s 30 pin Sh*t
Tried many sorts to work with steaming...no go so far.
Pre-historic technology was specially installed on GL's....so to leech out more from customers..MB sucks.
Please let me know if you figured something out mean while.

Different bluetooth stack?

Hi everyone,
The bluetooth on my GSIII has been a complete failure. You can follow the saga here (http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w245-b-class/1662643-2009-w245-samsung-galaxy-s-iii.html), but basically it connects to my car and has no sound with the stock ROM and refuses to connect to the car at all with the AOKP JB build. It suggests an android problem, so I'm wondering if the bluetooth stack can be reloaded to reflashed with something different. If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears. Thank you!
I have a problem with one of my Bluetooth devices dropping and reconnecting. Not sure why is just one. It works fine on an iPhone. I'm guessing your GS3 isn't the international version?

I'm having a different issue. it connects and stays connected, plays music but it doesn't list the song/artist info on my eclipse screen but the SG2 will..
Update: no change with the new kernel. The phones pairs but there's no sound, just as was the case before.

Try CM9. Bluetooth works much better with it. CM10 should have it fixed as well in a day or two.
Here's a 'six months later' update. My phone went through various android updates and I'm now on Android 4.1.1 (up from 4.0.4). The problem was still not solved, but instead of no audio, I now have one way audio, where people hear me but I don't hear them through bluetooth. I have also gone through a number of custom ROMs and kernels for my phone (including CM9/10 and AOKP) and nothing helped with the issue.
A couple of days ago, my girlfriend's HTC One X (finally!) got its Android update, also from 4.0.4 to 4.1.1. Her phone now works like a charm with the in-car bluetooth.
The solution I ended up with was a car cradle and a couple of NFC tags to control my phone in the car. My NFC tag that's stuck to my car cradle turns off WiFi, starts car mode, starts a car home app and turns my volume to max. All I have to do after that is connect the 3.5mm audio cable and I use my phone in place of the car's infotainment system. That way the phone integrates into the car as well and the only thing I lose are the steering wheel controls (they still work for volume).
My less technologically inclined girlfriend now has everything work auto-magicallly with bluetooth. So I guess all's well that ends well, but to anyone considering a US-spec Galaxy S III, watch out: the bluetooth issue is still not fixed. If bluetooth is critical, consider the HTC One X (but be warned: it has awful battery life!)
I have no issues with stereo Bluetooth and mono Bluetooth. Everything and everyone hears and plays fine. It might be an issue with your headset.

Colby. What version of android, kernel / rom combo are you using?? There's SOOO many people having problems with JB and bluetooth, regardless of rom or kernel setup.
If you're on stock... just nm then.

What's wrong with stock? I have no major issues with streaming BT from my phone to my Mazda 3 head unit, or to my Sony MW600 earphones. Even track titles work (the only thing that doesn't work is time display). In my experience, Bluetooth works best on the stock ROM.
Stock Rogers ROM (DLK4 - JB 4.1.1), rooted
KT747 (1/9/2013) kernel
CWM Recovery 6.0.2.3
PlayerPro Music Player
On my old Xperia X10, I had CM7 and had no end of issues with BT:
- Sometimes it would connect and there would be no sound
- Sometimes it wouldn't connect at all
- Sometimes it would cut out after switching songs
- It would stutter a lot whenever Wi-Fi was enabled (but I think that was a problem with the Xperia).
When I tried CM10.0 on my S3 I had similar connection issues, just not as bad. Also, the volume gain over BT was much lower, so I had to turn the car speakers way up. Stock 4.1.1 doesn't have any of these problems. The only problem I had was the audio switching over to speaker after turning off the car, but I fixed it.
Also, BT is apparently broken in 4.2.1 in general, not just CM10.1. Google confirmed a BT patch that works on the Nexus 7, due for release with 4.2.2: http://www.expertreviews.co.uk/smar...confirms-android-4-2-bluetooth-streaming-flaw
TIP: Don't forget to turn up the volume on your phone. I don't know how many times I accidentally turned down the volume and thought that it wasn't working. Now I have Tasker do it for me whenever I connect. :good:
4.1.2 has Bluetooth working use it everyday. (Stock and ROM.) Can't tell u which combo I use at a time. I flash a different ROM everyday. As 4.2.1bluetooth is broken expect for task's AOKP. He has it workingish.
Now as connecting to a car. Depends on what it connects as. And I've learned going to and from ROMs when u connect a source hit the volume up 9/10 times it works

Help needed to fix BT problem in CM9/10

Hi
To all CM9 and CM10 users
I am searching a problem where certain BT devices will
not work properly for outgoing calls
The one case I know that causes problems is using
a Nokia CK-7w car handsfree device.
Incoming calls working fine but outgoing calls will not
be routed correctly to the headset/car speakers,
If you use a BT headset or BT handsfree for your car stereo
Can you report if it works with information about:
-BT device model
-which CM9/10 version
I am adding my two devices that work with CM9
-Kenwood BT61U car stereo with BT support
-iBlue mini Bluetooth Headset http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B008E8IKWK/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00
Thanks in advance

Plantronics 510 Headset misbehaving
Hi
I have problems with the above headset, the symptoms, + logcat, are
Phone Make/Model : HTC One V, GSM, UK Version
Rom : CM9RC3
Kernel :titanium Kiss , tk_usb_cm9_201209091500.img
Have paired a plantronics PLT510 bluetooth headset with the phone, perfectly fine and phone audio is "ticked" in Pairing option
Dialing out
Stock ROM
- if i make a call with the phone using the stock Rom, then as soon as I press dial, a bluetooth connection is created and I hear the ringing tone in my Bluetooth headset..when I disconnect it also disconnects
CM9
- Whilst dialing, if i select (bluetooth from second icon), it still doesn't connect
- The only way I can make it work, is to hold the call button on the headset pressed AFTER Ive hit send/dial on the phone, then voice is transferred to Bluetooth
Receiving a call
- Stock rom, as soon as a call comes in , it connects by default to the headset
- CM9
- Voice stays with handset
- Whilst phone is ringing
- If I press and hold the call button on the headset it will hang up the call (Correct behaviour I think)
- If I press once the call button on the headset, it will answer the call, but voice is still on the handset
- If I press the second icon to select bluetooth on the phone , still nothing happens
- If I answer phone (either by BT call button) or handset, then HOLD the BT Call button on the headset, then voice streaming works......
Currently I have to answer the call using the handset, then press & hold the BT Call button for the call to be transfered to the headset.. delay of approx 5 seconds...
Once the connection is made, the quality is good, clear and consistent...
logcat, available here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1909885

Actually no longer
With the recent LPM fix the BT clock is always disabled as soon as possible
So no extra battery is used for BT if idle

I'm having a similar problem on every CM10/10.1-based ROM that I've tried (Evervolv, Slim Bean, AOKP, Provision) on the PrimoC side of things. Max, do you know if your improvements have been implemented for the CDMA ROMs, or are they GSM-specific? I've tried multiple versions of both the SuperSick and jmz kernels. In every case, media streaming works great, but in-call audio does not work at all. I have a Dual BTM60 bluetooth module for my head unit, and it works fine with the stock ROM.

I concur... maxwen, any input? This seems to be the last remaining issue with primoc jellybean roms... (although the jb 4.2.X roms seem to have broken bluetooth completely, no media streaming works either..., the 4.1.X roms have the same problem cited above)
BT media streaming works fine for me on Beyond's CFX 4.2.2 for primoc. In-call audio does not, however.

Anyone found a fix? My current solution is to leave bluetooth on all the time. It connects ok when its not car mode turning it on but it's obviously not an ideal fix.
Sense 5 A2DP
I have just bought a USB a2dp dongle for my car which connects via the AUX In. Music from my HOX plays superbly and when my phone rings this also comes through the car speakers. However it appears that the microphone on the phone does not function (as it does when hardwired to the AUX In). Does anybody know if it it possible to configure the HOX to use the normal microphone when paired with the A2DP dongle.
I am using Viper X 4.0.5 and AlexV 2.7 btw
many thanks
