Tab 3 GT-P5210 Failed Root - Galaxy Tab 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I tried to use Odin to root my Galaxy Tab 3 GT-P5210 (Build KOT49H.P5210UEU0CNK1), and it said "Passed" on Odin, but my tablet is now stuck on the "Samsung Galaxy Tab 3" startup screen (it won't boot). Is there a way to remedy this? Also, I can't seem to download any TWRP files, it gets blocked by the antivirus saying that a virus has been detected in the file. The only other option I can access is when I press Volume Down and Power at the same time, it goes into ODIN Mode on my tablet.
Thanks

Try to flash bootloader (BL) with Odin, CSC is not needed but it doesn't hurt to flash it with BL.
In this file, CSC (Country/Carrier Specific Code) is for US region
http://www.mediafire.com/file/c224oin6adfqisg/GT-P5210(2).rar
If it doesn't work, try to flask BL, and AP with Odin.
The stock ROM ( AP ) is here, and Cellular South is for US region
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/GT-P5210/
I rarely fail when flash Stock Rom with its bootloader ( BL )

Hi
Is it still possible to root my Tab 3 P5210? And then flash a custom rom of android 6 upwards?
It currently runs on android 4.4.2 but im not sure if that was the version it was purchased with originally. I tried recently when i followed instructions from another thread on here but i soft bricked my device (same as OP - passed on odin, tab stuck on loading screen), although i did recover it back to its previous state eventually. I was using the latest Odin V13, but im not sure if the version of android or odin version needed to be specified for using the right apk files?

[Q] [SM-T315] Odin Problem

I recently received a Galaxy Tab 3 as a gift and I attempted to root it as I would with any other android device.
However, I screwed up and my Tab is soft-bricked.
To remedy my mistakes I attempted to restore the stock rom from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2471516
After following the instructions I came across this error:

Any suggestions?
EDIT:Just in case, The USB cable is plugged in directly into the computer and not through a hub.
If you can boot into recovery mode then do a fatcory reset

Is there a difference between the SM-T315 and the SM-T310? Are they the same device and can the OEM Rom be interchanged between the two? The reason I ask is because the thread title is about the SM-T315 but the rom you are trying to load in Odin (per the image you posted) is for SM-T310. So I am wondering is Odin actually protecting you from doing irrevocable harm to your device?
If everything is OK, then try Odin 3.07. I have seen several posts regarding failed loads with Odin 3.09.

Holy crap, you're right.
Do you know where to obtain the SM-T315 stock rom?, I can't seem to find it on this forum.
The only OEM Rom I found was here. But I did not see and firmware for XAR (Cellular South - US). When you enter the site, click in the search box on the right middle and enter T315 and you will find all the current firmware for your region/country.

I was able to access the download mode however when I tried to flash philz recovery via Odin, it failed.
The error message is below.
As I am able to see the product name, I guess it is not the SDS issue that has been circulating.
Would appreciate any help from you guys.
Thanks a lot!
What bootloader are you on?
(What does it say whe you're in DL mode)
If you have Knox you cant just flash anything you like, you'll have to flash 4.3 stock rom with knox and follow instructions of how to disable knox and downgrade.
If not on knox bootloader DL a 4.1.2 rom and flash it through odin
(Your OS and Odin versions can sometimes cause the PIT not found issue)
Which odin should i use to flash 4.1.2? And how do I check if my friend's phone has knox?
Anywhere i can get a 4.1.2 stock? Cannot find it on Sammobile for Singapore's version.
Nope did not work. Tried flashing 4.3 stock failed. Tried with PIT, failed too. All attempts failed at unable to Repartition.
Note 2 unable to boot up

Doubts how to root Samsung A50 sm-a505fn

I want to root sm-a505fn, I already rooted some phone so I am familiar with TWRP and Odin.
First thing, why isn't the A50 listed on the TWRP page? there are only Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 (Exynos) (a5xelte) and Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 (a5y17lte).
I have read about the OEM unlock, however didn't understand if I have to disable (grayed out) it or not, since some tutorial say different things.
At the end I tried with this fw, but it doesn't work. W or w/o OEM Lock, I get blocked by oem lock . Odin does not complete, it is stuck on VBMETA RQT_CLOSE !!.
Maybe because of the locked bootloader? I was wandering why in each tutorial I find press volume up to unlock the bootloader but when I restart the phone in recovery mode, I don't find that screen, but the following one. After I select Reboot to bootloader I get in download mode:

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Other tutorials say to power the phone with VOL UP + VOL DOWN, but does not power on at all...
Phone Info:
One UI VersionOneUI2.0Android Version10Product codeITVPDAA505FNXXU5BTL3CSCA505FNOXM5BTL1
Need explain please.
Thx
At the end I have been able to unlock the bootloader and install the TWRP from this guide, but:
- no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.1 fails to install
- multidisabler-samsung-2.2 gets installed but don't know how to check it...
- Magisk-21.2(21200).zip gets installed from TWRP but does not result to be installed on the phone
- MagiskManager-v8.0.4 from phone get installed, but even if the installed version results to be last available, it proposes to install it. Furthermore i do not have the option to direct install Magisk (the third option)...
Could the problem be the wrong version of TWRP?

Samsung Galagy Tab S4 stuck after rooting ? what i did wrong ?

Hello !
i think i messed up a little with my T830 and now it's kinda stuck on the bootscreen.
i wanted to root it so , i followed an online tutorial but it looks like i did something wrong.
here is the steps i followed :
i installed The Samsung USB drivers
i installed Odin
i sat my tablet in the " OEM Unlock " and forced the download mode in order to install the patched boot.tar in the AP mode in odin 3. the Flash was sucessfull.
once it was done, i installed the " twrp-3.6.2_9-0-gts4lwifi.img.tar " via Odin in AP mode for my tablet, in order to have access to the twrp menu but it don't work.
( the flash was sucessfull )
Now my tablett is stuck on this screen and the only thing i can do is to reboot it.
i can't boot it in download mode anymore.
i guess the last file i flashed was corupted or innapropriate ? but i don't really understand what i did wrong. my tablett is the SM-T830, so it should work fine ?
i'm kind of worry because Odin and adb don't see my tablett anymore and i don't have access to the Download mode anymore.
[Update: sometimes i manage to have Access to the Download mode ( but it's really tricky ) and i can see my tablett on Odin 3, my tablett still can't boot on Android. I don't know what file i need to flash in order to fix my problem ! Help :I ]
[ Update2: i managed to download the stock rom via Frija, and installed it, but my tablet is not rooted anymore, it's still better than nothing i guess ]

From your screenshots, I am assuming your phone model is G990U (USA-locked version) with binary revision 6, and you are looking for a TMB firmware for G990U1 (USA-unlocked version). Unfortunately, for G990U1, till now there is no firmware released with Binary revision version 6. As per Samsungs rule, you cannot downgrade to a lower binary (from 6 to 5). So, when you are trying to flash a binary 5 firmware on an already binary 6 firmware phone, ODIN cannot proceed and gives you this error.
As for a current solution to unbricking your phone, you have to flash the G990U TMB firmware with binary 6 again. I am giving you a direct link for your ready reference:
https://samfw.com/firmware/SM-G990U/TMB/G990USQS6EWC3 (click on "Download SamFw server")
Finally, you have to wait until TMB releases an updated firmware for G990U1 models with Binary 6 in the future. Once released, you should be able to flash it with patched ODIN (not the regular one, version 3.14.1 3B) to shift from G990U to G990U1.
