The Nite Ize double wide clip case cargo fits the Axon 7 - ZTE Axon 7 Accessories

For many years now, my preferred method of carrying a smartphone is on a belt case. I started using Nite Ize cargo cases because of the protection, durability, and that I could also carry a pen and Leatherman tool in one package. My tall cargo case, which fit the Nexus 5 was too small for the Axon, and the Clip Case Sideways XL was just a bit too tight for the Axon with a hybrid case on it. Nite Ize recently came out with a larger series of the cargo case, and I am pleased to report that the Double Wide cargo case fits the Axon with the hybrid case. My one wish is that Nite Ize would put the magnetic flap cover back on the larger cases, but the Velcro is nonetheless pretty durable.

The Nite Ize belt holster you mentioned works really well, the phone still fits in it even with the Poetic Revolution case on it. I couldn't find a belt holster that looked decent, until I saw your post.
Thanks for the suggestion!

Ultimate belt pouch

I've got a leather belt pouch and after 3 weeks the belt loop tear away.
So I'm looking for:
heavy duty horizontal belt pouch (nylon or leather)
Belt loop as far I don't like belt clip
Magnetic enclosure ( quieter than velcro)
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Dan
Dickies makes one that might fit the bill. It's probably going to have a velcro closure though. Heavyweight nylon build, and one of the few pouch styles that fits an oversized screen.

I bought this one from Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Premium-Leath..._1_11?s=mobile&ie=UTF8&qid=1348684194&sr=1-11
Gets the job done. It has a clip and belt loops and a solid magnetic enclosure. I use it along with a Dizitronic case on my Nexus and its a nice, snug fit. Its generic but doesn't look cheap either. For $5, hard to beat.

Cellet Bergamo Case

Here is the case I just got that fits well.
Cellet Bergamo Leather Case Holster
I already had an old holster from a previous phone that worked fine but I wanted just a pouch with no belt clip to slip in my pocket. This one has the the removable clip and the back is then completely flat which was perfect for me. I was using a $3 ebay slip in pouch for 4 months which is extremely thin but I wanted something just a tad thicker for the occasional drop.
I have had this only a few days but it is a snug fit which I like but it will loosen up a little based on past experience. One other note if you do get this and like the belt clip feature this one does not swivel but I think they sell replacements for this brand that might have other option.
I keep my phone naked and I do not think you could fit the phone in this case with a skin or anything else on it.

Wearing Note 2 on your belt

I'm really want the Note 2 but how feasible is it to wear the phone on your belt? I know there are cases out there with a belt clip. I just wanted opinions and daily modes of operation. I carry my current Galaxy S2 either in my left pocket by itself or on my belt with a holster case. I would like to be able to do the same with the Note 2. Thanks.
I use an Otterbox Defender case (comes with a belt clip) that works pretty well for me. I never put my Note II in my shirt pocket -- for me, it's a bit heavy to do that, unless your shirt pockets have industrial-grade stitching!
Def otter box works great
My wife has the otterbox but she doesn't clip it on to her belt (she uses the holster as a screen cover). The otterbox makes the phone super huge and i would find it too cumbersome to wear on my hip. I have the seidio surface (best buy version) that I use the belt clip. I don't find it to be to big or cumbersome. But I must say that I only wear it this way with a shirt that covers it (a shirt that's not tucked in). When I wear a shirt and tie I use an OEM flip cover bumper cover mod that was featured in these forums and place it in my shirt pocket (it fits nicely) or the inside pocket of my suit
I also use the Otterbox Defender and find it's good with a couple of caveats:
1. You need a robust belt or it will flop around and also be difficult to release the phone from the clip; and
2. Since it's so big, wearing it under a jacket creates a noticeable bulge, and, depending on the type of jacket, may make it too tight around the waist.
So this case will fit the t889 tmobile model?

I use a Seidio Surface case with holster. Works great for me and the case has the kickstand.

Belt clip/pouch with slim armor case?

I just bought the spigen slim armor case and am having a very difficult time finding a belt pouch that fits.
I measured out the dimensions with the case on and it is 5 3/4" x 3" x 1/2"
i am also thinking about maybe getting a pouch that was made for a different phone that is slightly larger than the nexus 5.
anyone have any luck?
Update: looks like no one responded to me but i'll post this anyway...in case anyone is interested

I bought this pouch and it is a perfect fit for the Nexus 5 + slim armor case...the dimensions are 5.9" x 3 x 1 which was the closest ive found so i took and chance and it was a great choice..you can get it for like $5 but i went with the seller that had it for $7 (prime shipping)
Just came across this - do you think it'd have enough room for a bigger case? I have the Ringke Fusion which isn't a very thick case, but it's thicker than the spigen slim.
Also how has it held up? I can be a bit rough on my belt loop cases (keep getting caught on seatbelts and such) and I had one like that rip on me after a couple of weeks.
Thanks in advance

Is the Ringke Fusion bigger up/down or just thickness? If it's thickness it should be fine.. There is some wiggle room there... But of course I can't guarantee you
You should measure it and compare it to the dimensions I posted above
The belt loops are pretty durable.. There are two loops and a metal clip... Very sturdy

I'm currently using a Seido Dilex holster with my Ringke Fusion and it fits perfectly. I got tired of trying to find a pouch that will fit. As for your case, I would look into the holster for their covert case, you'll just need to know the thickness of the case to see if there's any wiggle room or will it fit snug.
Just my thoughts.
Is there anything like that that will hold the phone vertically and not horizonally? Doesn't have to be a complete pouch, but just some kind of 'cage' that holds the phone+slim armor case on a belt, but vertical.

just measure the dimensions that search for a phone case that fits it vertically...horizontal one that i bought is for the S3 and it fits...so you can start by trying to search for S3 vertical pouches

Look at these two holsters Seidio. I don't work for them, just love the holsters. They do rotate as well. The Surface holster will fit case that are less than 2mm thick and the Dilex will fit cases that are less than 2.2mm thick (Ringke Fusion needs the Dilex due to the "feet" of the case) I'm assuming the Dilex is need for the slim armour case as well, I can't find the thickness of the case.

Nite Ize Clip Case Sideways review

I didn't see any information on here on the Nite Ize Clip Case Sideways XL (that's really the product name), so I'd thought I post a quick review.
First, a link to the manufacturer's website and an Amazon.com page:

Carrying my Nexus 5 - wrapped in an Ionic Guardian case - in my pocket just doesn't work. The phone is just too damn big. Wearing standard 4-pocket jeans, I doubt that I would be able to sit down with the phone in any of the pockets, and a set of keys would probably tear the face of the phone up. I will not wear a fanny pack, no matter how fashionable they are. Short of having a tailor sew an extra cargo pocket on all my trousers and shorts, I needed to find a better solution.
The Nite Ize Sideways XL definitely fits the Nexus 5 WITH the Ionic cover. It's a horizontal-carry only case. The case has elastic sewn-in the ends to check to the phone's horizontal movement; the phone lightly touches these stops, and horizontally it's a good fit. the vertical height of the case is about 1/4" (7mm) proud with the phone in and the velcro closure (more on that in a bit) centered; the case could be a 1/4" vertically shorter for a perfect fit, but there is some adjustment in the closure, so I can live with it. This case will probably fit most, if not all, Nexus 5 protective covers.
Features:
Colors: Black (purchased), Mossy Oak Break-Up Infinity (for dance night, I guess), and Espresso (a dark brown fabric with black trim).
Construction: The fabric appears to be ballistic nylon with faux-leather accents. There's an thin internal pocket on the clip-side of the case that can readily accept credit cards, identification cards, folded currency, etc. The exterior ballistic nylon is backed internally by soft fabric; the case covers the phone completely. The case appears very durable and protective for the phone. With the "lid" of the case closed, the case is locked "solid".
Clip: A fairly wide black plastic clip. It will easily fit a 2" (5 cm) belt. As previously stated this is a horizontal-only case; the clip doesn't rotate. One advantage of the fixed clip is that it creates a much thinner clip. The clip has a hook on the bottom; once it snaps over a belt, it stays put. I've had to fish my other cases (with phones in them) from the seats of cars and chair cushions because the act of sitting-down pushed the case up and off my belt when carried on the small of my back; no issue here.
Closure: Hook-and-loop (Velcro). Either you love Velcro, or you hate it. The folks I know who carry gear on their belts (military, police, rescue workers, corrections officers, etc.) swear by Velcro. I can live with it, it's just a little loud sometimes. It's probably not as loud as my annoying ringtone, so most people never hear the holster opening.
Cost: $13.49 (US), and free Super-Saver shipping.
Gripes: Not really any major gripes. One (minor) gripe would be the lack of a cutout on the bottom of the case so the wearer can push the phone up when pulling the phone from the case. The case is designed to protect the phone, so I can't blame the manufacturer. With the elastic sides and flexible ballistic nylon construction, I can slide my fingers between the interior wall of the case and the phone and pull the phone out of the case easily enough, so it's not really an issue.
Final thoughts: Nite Ize has a good reputation for making tough gear. Read reviews for any of their products; customers love the build quality and durability. It's one of the few options for carrying a hybrid-cased Nexus 5.
