I just bought the spigen slim armor case and am having a very difficult time finding a belt pouch that fits.
I measured out the dimensions with the case on and it is 5 3/4" x 3" x 1/2"
i am also thinking about maybe getting a pouch that was made for a different phone that is slightly larger than the nexus 5.
anyone have any luck?
Update: looks like no one responded to me but i'll post this anyway...in case anyone is interested
http://www.amazon.com/Luxmo-Horizontal-Leather-Holster-Carrying/dp/B008FQVO5G/ref=lh_ni_t?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A119K31BOSN2QF
I bought this pouch and it is a perfect fit for the Nexus 5 + slim armor case...the dimensions are 5.9" x 3 x 1 which was the closest ive found so i took and chance and it was a great choice..you can get it for like $5 but i went with the seller that had it for $7 (prime shipping)
Just came across this - do you think it'd have enough room for a bigger case? I have the Ringke Fusion which isn't a very thick case, but it's thicker than the spigen slim.
Also how has it held up? I can be a bit rough on my belt loop cases (keep getting caught on seatbelts and such) and I had one like that rip on me after a couple of weeks.
Thanks in advance

Is the Ringke Fusion bigger up/down or just thickness? If it's thickness it should be fine.. There is some wiggle room there... But of course I can't guarantee you
You should measure it and compare it to the dimensions I posted above
The belt loops are pretty durable.. There are two loops and a metal clip... Very sturdy

I'm currently using a Seido Dilex holster with my Ringke Fusion and it fits perfectly. I got tired of trying to find a pouch that will fit. As for your case, I would look into the holster for their covert case, you'll just need to know the thickness of the case to see if there's any wiggle room or will it fit snug.
Just my thoughts.
Is there anything like that that will hold the phone vertically and not horizonally? Doesn't have to be a complete pouch, but just some kind of 'cage' that holds the phone+slim armor case on a belt, but vertical.

just measure the dimensions that search for a phone case that fits it vertically...horizontal one that i bought is for the S3 and it fits...so you can start by trying to search for S3 vertical pouches

Look at these two holsters Seidio. I don't work for them, just love the holsters. They do rotate as well. The Surface holster will fit case that are less than 2mm thick and the Dilex will fit cases that are less than 2.2mm thick (Ringke Fusion needs the Dilex due to the "feet" of the case) I'm assuming the Dilex is need for the slim armour case as well, I can't find the thickness of the case.

You try to find it on ebay, I think you 'll find a variety of rubber case for your device and the price is quite affordable
I got my girlfriend a Amzer TPU case, I have the same kind on my Tbolt
http://www.amzer.com/Amzer-Luxe-Argyle-Skin-Case-Smoke-Grey-P88562.htm
I bought a $4 silicone case from amazon that seems to be working quite well. It doesnt quite fit as snug as I'd like though, but it keeps the profile small and its easy to get out of my pocket.
Case
Yeah..i think silicon case is better..
I am now using a soft pouch, I think it's better than a silicone case because it protects also the screen and it's not "sticky" like silicone cases are (I always found difficult to put the phone into the jeans' pocket when I am sitting if I use a TPU case)... You could try a pouch and see if you like it
Thanks for the ideas on cases. I have thought about getting one but never sure which are cheap and rip easy or whatnot.

How fat is it? I have a rubber case also but I don't consider it fat. I have not seen any case for this phone also.

I bought a $7 silicone case from my local ATT store and this thing is the best. It fits nice and snug, and is easy to remove if need be. Of course, I wear carpenter jeans so the slight stickiness doesn't bother me. AFAIK tho, I believe they stopped selling it in my area so that may be the case everywhere.
These three cases look nice! Does anyone have them? Which is best?

I have the HTC TPU Skin Case - very nice.
Text of test.
I have black rubber case. I love it.
I currently have the Feather and love how it keeps the phone's slim profile while staying Rigid. From what I've read these cases seem to be similar, with the Feather not covering the top and the bottom, and the Surface being a two piece that snaps together. Does anyone own both of these cases and/or knows if the Surface is either thicker or the same thickness of the Feather?
I've tried the Ringke(best silicone case I've seen) and the ruggedized Moto battery cover and they helped me remember why I don't like soft cases...mainly because of the lip moving around when you take it out of your pocket every one in awhile. I also have a TPU case and that is probably the best soft case.
I have both cases. I went with the Seido case for day to day use.
Yes the Seido case adds some bulk over the Incipio, but I thought the trade off was worth it.
Both have the rubberized feel for extra grip, but without the super extra grip of the silicone or full rubber cases. The Seido slide on/off design means not have to "snap" or "pry" the case off when I need to get to the SD Card or Battery. The Incipio feather created "edges" which I just didn't like the feel of at the top and bottom of the phone.
I agree ^ I also have both, and even though the surface does add a little bit more bulk/ thickness, it does provide more coverage therefore protection. And just an fyi, the surface doesn't fit any dock I've tried it in even with the case insert removed... Which does suck, but its very easy to take off once you get used to it.

Seidio all the way man. I dropped my phone once and it got scratched on the sides where the Incipio wasn't protecting. what's the point of even having a case if it barely protects it?

A lot of people, myself included, don't look for a case to protect the phone against impact, but simply to protect it from the day to day wear and tear of pulling it in and out of pockets or getting scratched by keys or some loose change.

Do any of you use the Surface with the holster? Right now, I am leaning towards that instead of the Otterbox, but I'd like to know that the holster holds the phone securely before I spend the $50.00.
Thanks in advance.

considering the only part of the phone that the feather doesn't cover is the flimsy cheap plastic battery cover, i don't see the problem. i got the feather to protect the metal sides, which it does.
seidio makes great cases but it's just too bulky for my liking.
Thanks guys for the reviews and comparisons. I was on the verge of picking up the Seidio Surface, but after the news of the leaked HTC Holiday specs, I think I am going to curb my spending on any future Atrix accessories.

IMHO it also doesn't protect the border of the front of the screen on the top and bottom. That is where I got it scratched...

Hey buddy, just answering your question, I own both Surface and Active from Siedo and both of them are just amazing. For daily use Active is the option and fix perfect in the hd dock once you remove the main base cover of it and for the Surface, very slim and fancy. Both holsters hold the device extremelly well!
Hope it help, greetings!

I wanted a horizontal carry case that fits my phone + TPU case on days when I don't have a pocket in my jacket because I don't like having it in my pants pocket.
Look
The case is a big. Certainly adds to the dimension of an already sizable phone. I doubt it's genuine leather at this price, but the material seems nice and the case feels well-made. The magnetic flip cover also works well.
Functions
The leather case fits my t989+diztronic case snugly. There is some tension provided by the elastic sides to hold the t989 snugly in the case but not so tight that you cannot take the phone+case out. Further more, there is a cut-out on the bottom of the leather case that allows you to push the phone out.
Headphone port is accessible. None of the other buttons / USB port is accessible while the phone is in the leather case.
There is a clip on the black in addition to a belt loop. Either clip on to your pants, or use a belt with the leather case.
Conclusion
I like it for the build quality and look. It's just a bit big so I am not going to use it if I have a pocket in my jacket to hold the phone. On days that I have no pockets though, the case will be very useful.
This case looks promising. I ordered one for myself in hope that my mugen extended battery will fit. Any thoughts, will it fit smoothly or will I have difficulties?

Does anyone have experience wearing the HTC One on a belt? What would you say is more comfortable/practical for everyday use (including at work), vertical or lateral style? I wore vertical for smaller phones before, but not sure with HTC One since it's pretty big,
On another note, does anyone also have experience with fortte? Seems to offer a lot of custom choices, such as a snap-on closure or Velcro. More importantly, they offer a choice between a fixed metal belt clip (leather), belt loop, or a heavy duty removable ratchet clip (made of plastic). Which belt clip/style would you recommend?

I had some cases from Noreve.
And all I can say: clips - evil!
Belt loop only.
I use the otterbox defender to protect the phone. It works great. How ever the belt clip sucks. I have been looking for any belt clip that will work. Please help.

Good vertical case from ebay
I recently bought my HTC ONE and I have always used lateral belt pouches. Coming from HTC EVO 4G LTE is about the same size. I purchased a full body protectors like the ones from zagg but also on ebay and I have the vertical belt leather pouch which I was impressed of the quality and for 18 bucks and change it is really worth it. Here is the link to the pouch I got from ebay. I use this belt clip every day regular use and at work. I work in an office and sitting down for 8 hours with this belt pouch on does not bother at all. I guess it all depends where you wear your belt pouch. I usually wear mine just behind the front pockets of my pants. I would not wear anything in front or forward of my pockets because is uncomfortable.:good:

Edit: I have bought some other belt clips on ebay that states that are leather and good quality but after 3 months they start to peel off and the clips will start to come out. So far this one looks top notch build.

I have always had vertical cases/pouchs before. I just got a hortizantal one. It is OK but I would prefer to find one that fits vertical.
The one I got was item 251337384318 on Ebay. It is a Rieko brand. The phone fits great with the otterbox Commuter. There is a little extra room in the case but not so much that the phone slides around. The case appears to be of good quality.
I am not affilated with the seller, I just wanted to let people know that this pouch will work.
Here is the ebay description.
"This XXL size case will fit your Samsung Galaxy S4 or S3 with a thick hybrid such as the Otterbox Defender or Armor series,or Ballistic phone cases
High quality PU leather pouch with velvitine interior that will protect your phone from scratches
Durable belt clip with added belt loops for extra security that will attach to belt or purse.
Easily accessible with magnetic closure.
Compatibility: Fits the Samsung Galaxy S4 or S3 (Universal for all carriers) with a thick hybrd case such as the Otterbox Defender, Armor, or Ballistic series. Also fits the Note 1 / Note 2 with a single layer protector.
Inside Dimensions: 6.0" x 3.4" x .65"."
I wear mine horizontally. Vertically is too long when you sit down and makes it awkward to grab at depending on the holster. Mine is from Platinum Series bought at Best Buy. Had the same one for my HTC One X and loved it. Latch is spring loaded so it is secure when it's holding the phone and easy to release/snap back into. Take a look into it, it's only about $40 for the case and holster combo.

Platinum case and holster is pretty good, indeed. But if you get the one with a kickstand, your compass won't work (magnet in the kickstand), so beware (there is a case without a kickstand, too).
Just wondering if anyone has tried to match the two of these together....
I purchased a Diztronic TPU case for my Nexus 5 - I would like to place it into a Seidio Surface holster while I am at work.
Does anyone know if the Diztronic and the Seidio holster work together with the Nexus 5?
Thanks
Well my Surface holster just showed up tonight and my guess is it would be a no go. The stock bumper case fits but extremely tight on the bottom. My Ringke fusion case is a little more snug then the official bumper case. Both are a little to thick. Prefect fit side to side and height wise. I had an active holster and Ringke e fusion for my N4 and was sloppy so I figured I would try the surface holster. Taking my holster in to work tomorrow and pull out the die grinder and do some trimming and I think it will fit perfectly after take a little bit out of the bottom of the holster. I hope this helps you out.

I don't have the Diztronic case but I did have both the Cruzerlite and Diztronic cases for my EVO 4G LTE and they both worked flawlessly with the seidio surface holster for that phone. My assumption is that the Diztronic would work fine with the surface holster like the cruzerlite cases do

I just got the Diztronic TPU for my Verizon LG G2, and it fits PERFECTLY in the Seidio Surface holster!!!! The Nexus 5 is basically the same phone as the G2, so I am 99% sure it will be fine for you.
I would point out that the only thing that's a little awkward is that the non-slip "grip" of the TPU material is so grippy that you can't easily "pop the phone in" past the hinged clip - you have to lift the hinge back with one finger, put the phone in, and then let the clip spring back over the phone. Not a big deal, but just "different". I guess I'll have to learn a new hand motion.
