Just wondering if anyone has tried to match the two of these together....
I purchased a Diztronic TPU case for my Nexus 5 - I would like to place it into a Seidio Surface holster while I am at work.
Does anyone know if the Diztronic and the Seidio holster work together with the Nexus 5?
Thanks
Well my Surface holster just showed up tonight and my guess is it would be a no go. The stock bumper case fits but extremely tight on the bottom. My Ringke fusion case is a little more snug then the official bumper case. Both are a little to thick. Prefect fit side to side and height wise. I had an active holster and Ringke e fusion for my N4 and was sloppy so I figured I would try the surface holster. Taking my holster in to work tomorrow and pull out the die grinder and do some trimming and I think it will fit perfectly after take a little bit out of the bottom of the holster. I hope this helps you out.

That is what I would like to do except with a Diztronic TPU case - Just wondering if anyone else has these two and how they work / fit together.
Thanks

I don't have the Diztronic case but I did have both the Cruzerlite and Diztronic cases for my EVO 4G LTE and they both worked flawlessly with the seidio surface holster for that phone. My assumption is that the Diztronic would work fine with the surface holster like the cruzerlite cases do

I just got the Diztronic TPU for my Verizon LG G2, and it fits PERFECTLY in the Seidio Surface holster!!!! The Nexus 5 is basically the same phone as the G2, so I am 99% sure it will be fine for you.
I would point out that the only thing that's a little awkward is that the non-slip "grip" of the TPU material is so grippy that you can't easily "pop the phone in" past the hinged clip - you have to lift the hinge back with one finger, put the phone in, and then let the clip spring back over the phone. Not a big deal, but just "different". I guess I'll have to learn a new hand motion.

Get the seidio surface, mine just came today and it puts the incipio case i got from verizon to shame.
It's really thin, the fit is perfect, and it doesn't attract fingerprints or get stuck going in or out of your pocket.

Which Incipio case did you have? I have the Incipio Feather case coming, as I absolutely loved the Feather on my ZuneHD.
Just got the incipio feather today, most likely going to be returning it to try out the casemate barely there or the seidio case.
i really dont like the feather fit, its very loose on the nexus

just a standard battery, i HIGHLY doubt the case will fit with the extended battery. Especially because there's a front piece and a back piece that snap together.
from the youtube review it looks like it's missing the cut off for the 3 pin connector.
Guys, Im looking for a case like the Rearth RingKe slim case but with a clip on section (like seidio's).
The cases that seidio and otterbox make are just too thick. I do want the belt clip part though.
Edit: Im looking at the Seidio Surface Combo.. If you guys know of any alternatives, let me know.
I have the ringke slim and it works perfectly with the belt holster from the kickstand case from vz. Have been using the combo for a month or so with no issues. I also use the oem extended battery and it has been my perfect setup.
Hope that helps.

The only thing that worries me about the ringke one is all the reports of the paint chipping or peeling after a couple of months..
Using the ringke white case with the seido 2100 extended battery clip works pretty good together
I ended up getting the Seidio surface case and holster, but I really wanted the Ringke SLIM for the case.
What Im not liking about the Ringke is the reports that they crack and the paint starts to peel off.
I am trying to find for a nice hard case, but for me the option to wear the phone on the belt is important. So I am looking for something slimmer than the Otterbox Defender but with more or less the same functionality. I saw a lot of hard cases around and still non offers the combination of a case and a belt clip (other than the Defender - I had it for a couple of days and it is fat to bulky for my taste)
So I am opened for suggestions - please share your information. Any advice is appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

I think you can try some metal case. But the finishing of the metal case on the market can be terrible. Don't try those case listed on EBAY. They are cheap but bad. Thick metal layer and poor finishing. Also they are not as hard as the metal you are used to know.

Thanks for the answer - in my opinion the metal cases do not provide the necessary protection - you need a soft plastic part to absorb the shock of a fall and a hard one to take the initial blow
And the hybrid cases provide really nice protection - but most of them are too bulky. And a belt clip is an important part as well
Here is a case that fits your description. Had one on my inspire for a while And liked it.

Thank you for the reply. Its a nice case, but I don't think it comes with a belt clip
The Seidio cases offer what you're looking for. If you don't like the Surface, the Active series would better suit your needs since has the softer cover and the harder shell as well as a holster. There's also a version that comes with a metal kickstand

I've had this one for about a month now. Great combination of hard case with rubber to absorb shock with kickstand am holster.

It does have a holster, if you look around you will find it.

I had the same case for the s2. Ive been through 2 of them in a months time. The clip will snap off if there is any kind of a harder bump while clipped onto your belt. I would pass on it. Spend a little more money for a nicer case that wont break on ya right away.
Thank you all for the suggestions and comments. So I think I will go in the direction of Seidio - does anyone know the dimensions of the active and the surface cases?
How much bigger is the active case?
I was unable to find the dimensions on the web page
I use this holster http://www.niteize.com/product/Clip-Case-Cargo-Tall.asp and this case http://www.incipio.com/Samsung-Gala...ualPro-Hard-Shell-Case-with-Silicone-Core.asp. The case is thin but protective and the holster is tough and protects the phone.

I had the Seidio surface from Best Buy but 1) It was very slick and would slip out of your hands 2) Didn't have a kickstand. I went with the Seidio active from Versio Mobile.Com and couldn't be happier. It is a 2 part case, isn't that much bigger, or heavier and has the kickstand. Also the entire phone is covered where as with the surface case it didn't. Additionally the cut out for the MICRO/MHL plug is bigger on the active which will enable you to use more charging cables. The hole on the surface case only allowed me to use the Samsung cable.

I would say the D30 cases from t mobile. Bought one of amazon for $10, Fits like a glove and protects pretty good.

I'm currently switching between the white body glove case from T-Mobile and the PDair leather case. I really like the leather case cause it protects my screen.

D3o cases are junk. Especially the ones with the softish plastic backing. The all black one piece is alright, but still junk.
The ones with the colored plastic backing are prone to cracking just be taking off the case. Big no-no since I wash my case periodically.
On top of that, the 3.5mm slot is too small. Only slim jacks fit while the d3o case is on. I'm not willing to change my Sennheisers just because design flaws of the case.
Don't forget how much force it takes to push the power button. Over time, this can damage the power button by recessing it in. I switched to the white body glove. Its properly designed and does what I need it do.

i have a case similar to this, one of the amazon variants.
any who i really like the design, especially the thick corners which is what many times takes the impact of the drop. i have not had problems with screen bubbling up either
I purchased the white body glove case from tmobile store and its doing the job. I've dropped the phones a couple of times already, and its still doesnt show any scratches unless your eyeball is touching the case.
I got one from moster accessory website called the black transfusion hard cover case an I really like it as my second case. My first case was the D30, but the transfusion case was more cheaper than the d30.

I came upon an older Targus holster for Palm PDAs back from 2000. Its got that old brown leather look with a velcro snap and velour interior padding. Enough room for my Herc wrapped in its TPU.

I just bought the spigen slim armor case and am having a very difficult time finding a belt pouch that fits.
I measured out the dimensions with the case on and it is 5 3/4" x 3" x 1/2"
i am also thinking about maybe getting a pouch that was made for a different phone that is slightly larger than the nexus 5.
anyone have any luck?
Update: looks like no one responded to me but i'll post this anyway...in case anyone is interested
http://www.amazon.com/Luxmo-Horizontal-Leather-Holster-Carrying/dp/B008FQVO5G/ref=lh_ni_t?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A119K31BOSN2QF
I bought this pouch and it is a perfect fit for the Nexus 5 + slim armor case...the dimensions are 5.9" x 3 x 1 which was the closest ive found so i took and chance and it was a great choice..you can get it for like $5 but i went with the seller that had it for $7 (prime shipping)
Just came across this - do you think it'd have enough room for a bigger case? I have the Ringke Fusion which isn't a very thick case, but it's thicker than the spigen slim.
Also how has it held up? I can be a bit rough on my belt loop cases (keep getting caught on seatbelts and such) and I had one like that rip on me after a couple of weeks.
Thanks in advance

Is the Ringke Fusion bigger up/down or just thickness? If it's thickness it should be fine.. There is some wiggle room there... But of course I can't guarantee you
You should measure it and compare it to the dimensions I posted above
The belt loops are pretty durable.. There are two loops and a metal clip... Very sturdy

I'm currently using a Seido Dilex holster with my Ringke Fusion and it fits perfectly. I got tired of trying to find a pouch that will fit. As for your case, I would look into the holster for their covert case, you'll just need to know the thickness of the case to see if there's any wiggle room or will it fit snug.
Just my thoughts.
Is there anything like that that will hold the phone vertically and not horizonally? Doesn't have to be a complete pouch, but just some kind of 'cage' that holds the phone+slim armor case on a belt, but vertical.

just measure the dimensions that search for a phone case that fits it vertically...horizontal one that i bought is for the S3 and it fits...so you can start by trying to search for S3 vertical pouches

Look at these two holsters Seidio. I don't work for them, just love the holsters. They do rotate as well. The Surface holster will fit case that are less than 2mm thick and the Dilex will fit cases that are less than 2.2mm thick (Ringke Fusion needs the Dilex due to the "feet" of the case) I'm assuming the Dilex is need for the slim armour case as well, I can't find the thickness of the case.
