Just wait, you can't be impatient. Being impatient is hated by developers.
Lineage OS will be the same as cyanogenmod. Just a new name. Lineage will continue development while cyanogen will part ways and work on modular updates.

have a nice day Honestly I had just seen that this morning, and installed it, but then I realized I really cannot stand 7.1. I had it on my moto g 2014, and I just really like messing with themes, and 7 isn't that impressive to me. So it dawned on me, why isn't here a rr 6.0.1?
So I searched, and could not find anything except cm13,but rr is just the ****, so I was hopefully going to attempt to try and port itnow that I"m back to my asus.
I do appreciate your input though. Thanks.Also, would you happen to know where I could find a bootanimation for asus, that is the same as the bootlogo? It startswiththe ASUS in search of incredible, an then animates into the intel logo or something. Can't find that thing anywhere.

Because it would be wasting time to put hard work on old 14.1 Lineage when 15.1 will come up. But there is no official release date.! Read Lineage Changelog

One question before I flash the lineageos on 5t,I have downloaded the zip file from the link and it says lineageos 15 which is based oreo so wouldn't my 5t need to have oreo bootloader in order to be able to successfully flash and boot? Since 5t runs on nougat wouldn't it be more sensible to flash lineageos nougat rather than oreo? Do you have any lineageos nougat build for 5t that I can test as well incase lineageos 15 doesn't flash or boot up
Edit: couldn't flash ended up with error 7
Careful. I flashed Liquid Remix 8.1 and it wiped my internal storage. Not saying this will happen to you, but make a backup on your PC!

for now i reccomend all developers to build a los 14.1... because for now there are these stable sources and the base of this device is android 7.1.1
i like lineage and need burn in protection features
oreo will be later and probably lineage will skip los 15 and pass to los 15.1 based on 8.1 oreo

That is because liquid remix you are supposed to be running decrypted. It is stated in OP5 thread in flashing instructions.

I didn't read their thread. Just got a flash able zip from their web host. Figured it was due to encryption.

Well then to be honest, you have no one to blame other then yourself for that fail. Never flash something without reading the thread on it. Bad things happen as you learned.

Re-read my original post. I am warning others about it, not blaming anyone. I lost no data (other than the zips I was flashing), merely noted the wipe.
Hi, I got this device a little over 5 months ago and I want to make some ROMs for it. I would like to see what roms you would like on the A5 2017. The title says all, please respond to the topic only.
Rules:
1. Keep it clean
2. I don't think I am going to port some crazy TW Pie ROM, I do not specialize in TouchWiz ROMs anymore so please go ask corsicanu or someone else for that.
3. PM me if you want to ask me about something, do not respond to this thread; keep it clean as I said before.

i'd dig a STABLE resurrection remix oreo rom with almost no bugs that has quick charge, voLTE/4G+,and phone,camera, bluetooth/nfc, 5ghz wifi and everything else. But please make it fully compatible with the oreo modem and bootloader!

Now there already is a RR Oreo thread, which makes me a bit skeptical because he could report my future thread. I will look deeper into the bugs of the current RR Oreo and make mine from Lineage sources and try to fix bugs one by one. Also, I don't think of porting TW ROMs anytime soon because the A5 lacks AOSP ROMs rather than TW ROMs.

Why should we fight if we can help each other?
We have some stock roms but none of them support Volte which is a big thing for a lot of users , if u can fix that in AOSP roms that would be amazing....and it would be great to have more developers in this community.

Of course, I was working on it on Huawei P8 lite 2018 once, didn't get too far, but yeah it's a good ROM

No, thank you. The latest version released is Marshmallow and you can't really "hack" with it as you may think.
How about lineage OS 16 with all bugs fixed? That will be an interesting ROM. Please consider working on it.
