At&T i467 Question

Im rather new to the note 8 forums but I was curious if there are any plans anybody has heard of about this device getting 4.2.2. I cant seem to find a straight answer anywhere.

There is a UK version of 4.2.2 for the 5120, that works great. I screwed up and tried to put a 5110 ROM on, then had to scramble to find this one. Took me 4-5 days, but I got it finally.

This won't work. Your device is different than ours plus we don't have a recognized/confirmed way to unlock the bootloader.

Jeez, I'm not to sure this device is all that great..I'm using a Note 3 phone and this thing is a piece of crap compared to it lol. The screen not being responsive to touches sometimes are really getting annoying. Also I'm thinking AT&T may never update this thing. Seems like they always care about the initial release then it's history.

Lots of threads on this. Yes, the screen is unresponsive. It's a true bummer. I have hope that we'll see 4.2.2, hopefully in the next month or two. When it's released, I hope it has the screen responsiveness fixes and S-Pen offset fixes in the latest wifi version OTAs. I agree with you, I'm losing some patience with this device. As a whole, I love it. I need the pen, like the screen, like that I can use PAYG data, good specs, and the form factor is perfect. Don't like that it's not updated, the screen freezes, no unlocked bootloader, no custom ROMs, and not-so-great battery life.

Help needed to upgrade a Note 2 that was lost for 2 years.

I bought an unlocked Note 2 in the summer of 2013.
I happily used it until Christmas when it 'disappeared' in our house. My toddler daughter had hidden it somewhere.
Despite turning the house upside down it was never found and I reluctantly moved backwards to older phones I already had.
Nearly 2 years later and a builder found it hidden away in our spare room.
I know have my phone back which has been in hibernation for 18 months. It is running 4.4.1 and my question is this.
Despite it now being old I would like to upgrade the firmware to the best I can for the device without it slowing down. Please can someone recommend an upgrade and where I can find it. Phone is not rooted so will I have to do this?

Good news that you found your phone. Probably your firmware is 4.1.1 and not 4.4.1 because 4.4.1 not exist and also you have to update this firmware immediately because of sds bug. If you don't know about it Google it. There are plenty of roms at forum and also plenty of instructions how to flash a custom rom and also how to update at latest official if you don't prefer custom.

Thanks for your reply Vagsvag. Just checked and it's running 4.4.2. I think it automatically upgraded something when I turned it on and logged in for the first time (sorry I'm not very savvy). In your opinion will this suffice or is there a newer platform I can safely download. I did a cursory bit of research on Google and it looks like 'Android L' is the last one offered for the Note 2, but I couldn't see if it was ever confirmed. I'll do some more research on here. I'd rather not load up a custom rom as when I did that to my last phone (S2 and the Lite'ning Rom) the phone became very glitchy. Perhaps things have improved in the last 5 years.

4.4.2 is the latest official, for newer version of Android you must go to custom rom, cm or aosp, there are also some roms transfered from official s3 firmware android version 4.4.4. My opinion is if you are ok with speed, response etc stay with this only root it to remove junk apps and block the ads. Now if you want something little bit more fresh you can try cm base, one of the more stable is Ivan_Meler's cm 12.1 at original android forum.

Thank you for all your help. I've rooted the phone which seems to make everything quicker. I'll stick with 4.4.2 for now but will have a look at CM12.1 at some point.

Zenfone 3 deluxe Custom rom + Encryption?

Hi, I was thinking of getting this phone but it seems rather empty in these parts!
Are there/Will there be soon, any Custom rom + working encryption?
If not I think I will go with oneplus 3T, thanks.

What do you mean by "working encryption"?
Encryption is enabled by default in MM roms.

Thank you. Last time I was installing custom roms CM12 etc, sometimes on certain phones encryption would not work.
I wasn't aware it is now enable by default.

Bootloader unlock only just came out less than a week ago. Root has been available for a few days. There should eventually be ROMs but there is basically nothing for the time being. If you are willing to wait a month or two or three for a good ROM, consider this phone.
I'd honestly recommend the 1+3T though. The dev community is much more existent.

zs550kl unlocked no problem but cant root
my zs550kl is two days new, I am upgraded to android 7.0 nougat it automaticly updated as soon as i got threw initial set up. so my problem is that it was no problem at all unlocking it useing the unlock tool from thread xda-developers Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other Development [DEV][ZS550KL][ZS570KL][ZS570KLPRO] Bootloader Unlock, Root & Busybox by adwinp First shot no problem unlocked my problem comes from the bootroot.img i think because i am 7.0 all ready. so is there a boot.img available for android 7.0? and if not can i downgrade back to the firmware specified in that post? any help would be awesome i suck at this stuff but i just cant help myself and i cant stand all the bloatware and asus is the worst one ive come across so far, such a nice device completely bogged down by a crappy UI.

This was a colossal failure on Asus' end, in my opinion. I'm glad those who have the ZF3 5.7" finally got their unlocker. I really had high hopes for this phone. After holding onto it as long as I could (in the box it shipped in) with Amazon's extended holiday return period & crossing my fingers for unlocking...I had to go with the 3T. I really wanted to go with the Zenfone 3 but Asus didn't even suggest an unlocked bootloader was coming, as far as I am aware, until very recently. That was after missing out on 2 rounds of in-stock 3T's due to overly sensitive fraud detection on both OnePlus and my bank's end. Finally ended up getting a 3T 128GB model, even though I bought a 128GB microSD card and nice USB-C cable for the Zenfone 3.
Asus really said something about their support/concern in regards to their mobile phone product line(s) with this - OnePlus Support has already given me trouble, no less. I kinda like Asus, too.
I finally have a phone after nearly 6 months of borrowing -- hijacking my mom's OP 2.

P6-U06 Keeps rebooting into TWRP and when plug into computer boots up fine

Hello guys, I am having an issue with my P6-U06 that keeps rebooting to TWRP. I was running B520 very well until yesterday where the problem occurs. I have tried everything:
1. Wiping Dalvik Cache, Data and Cache
2. Fastboot stock recovery and stock boot.img - phone goes to soft brick where it keeps restarting until it shutdown automatically after 3 reboot.
3. Flashing B111 and B520 roms, the phone get's the Huawei Flower/Shell Logo loading then shuts down.
However, when I plug the phone to my PC, it boots up successfully and very unfortunately, when I unplug it, the phone shuts down automatically.
Could someone please help?

I went overboard last year: Mate 9, HTC U11, OnePlus 3T, Xiaomi Mi6.
I'm looking forward to the Xiaomi 7 then I'll stop! Really wanted the Mate 10 but it didn't impressed when it came out. If the P11/20 looks good, I may jump.
The P6 was the first phone I REALLY started enjoying though. Onward!

Huawei is pretty good but their processors were not fully supported at that time. I got the Redmi Note 4 in February and I don't regret the jump at all. I might use Huawei again in the future but for now Xiaomi all the way.

C636 9.0.1.169 - Just recently bought the phone.

I have have a question. So a few days ago I purchased the Honor View 20 phone and the declvice had an update to .169, i have Magic 2.0.1. Is it normal that there's no update yet?

Yes it's normal that it rolls out in "phases" you could try changing region in support app and hit the update button through that, it's worked for some people.

Oh ok, i was just wondering because I just purchased the phone a few days ago and was reading about the later versions of Magic that came out early this year. I know Magic 3.0 is coming out, i guess its just a matter of waiting.
I did try to change region, reset hicare, and checked the hicare on Windows 10 and etc. No update from there. Thanks anyways.
