hi i have a problem.
Today when i was trying to get to store i got force close and after that i cant find google play apk (in titanium backup and android apps settings too). I tried to install apk from net (first google play.apk than android matket.apk) but still i have the same problem.
I tried to clear all app data but nothing helped.
Now i cant get to store without using browser.
Can someone help me?

We are having this issues with 3 X Sony Ericsson Xperia plays that we use for are site 1 rooted and 2 stock. All have internet and we can use browser etc etc. but when we open Google Play Store/Shop app (No Connection - error) have tried every method , uninstalling, re-installing. delete data/cache. This seams like its an issue that also covers other devices too not just Sony's as far as i cant tell from my findings. any one have any ideas
Thanks for yout post. I was thinking that is only my problem.
But why older stores wont work is the questions cause they worked recently?

Just noticed I'm getting a server error when trying to access the store
I'm also having this problem on my LG P970, and a friend had this too on his phone. For him it helped to unistall all updates for the play store, didn't work for me but you might want to try that out
Found out the issue from google them selfs. Simple fix use 3g as this only effects wifi. after you have connected to the store 1 time on 3g it will sort your wifi issues.
I found the solution too. I deleted all updates and than i use Vending.apk from system/app to install and now it works
jusatin: For me FC is on WiFi and 3g
EDIT: There is still the same problem after reboot
I found modded version of store and it works (maybe cause of mod or other version of apk). It's here:
rootzwiki.com/topic/15092-invertedtotally-inverted-apps-3-16-play-store-updated/ - look for Vending.apk

Hi all,
I have a 10.1 tab and for the past week or so I've not been able to access the play store. I've tried clearing the cache, rebooting etc but nothing I've tried works.
Does anyone have anything else I might be able to try?
Thanks.
Is your tablet an original one ?
Solution
This problem has occurred to me on many devices before.
Some of the most common reasons are:
Date and time are incorrect
Device is not original (playstore manually installed)
Google play services corrupted
Try seeing if you have any of those reasons above.
Date and time is the most common for me. Also if these don't work please root your device and install a custom rom with playstore pre-installed.
Go into "Manage App" and uninstall updates from the Play store.

Has anyone experienced a Force Close from Google Play Services when trying to add a card to Android Pay?
I have downloaded / installed Google Play services 8.1.15 (2250156-248) on my HTC One M9, as well as the latest APK for Android Pay. Its running on a stock rom. The devices was rooted, but I've unrooted it using the clean uninstall method provided by SuperSU. I assume that should do it.
All seems to go well until I press the + (to add a card). It thinks for a little while, and then force closes with an error indicating that Google Play Services was the problem.
Anyone?
I'm rooted and running the New Google Wallet App. I just was able to add a new card without unrooting.
The New Google Wallet app, or the Android Pay app? They are two different things.

It's the new Google Wallet App. I have noticed though that I cannot change my lockscreen now.
Bump...so we've got one other, anyone else ?
Google Play Services crashes whenever I try to add a new card as well. Running CM12.1, rooted, 2.10 firmware.
I finally got the Wallet App update that transformed it into Android Pay. I wasn't able to add a new card until I temp unrooted. After that I could add cards. I rerooted, but haven't tried it out yet (Wallet worked fine before.)
I'm unrooted. Still crashing. Perhaps because it's a Canadian phone?

I also have a rooted LG V20 and I'm encountering the same Netflix issue as you. Seems as though Play Store is detecting root and not allowing Netflix to be installed.

Yes, This is really starting to get crazy with this May update. Had to download Netflix from APK mirror to get it to work. Can't wait for June. Lol

I'm running a Google Store Pixel XL, unlocked, rooted, stock on May 2017 security update (thanks to using Chainfire's VerifiedBootSigner.zip). I just checked on Google Play and it says that Netflix is incompatible with my Google Pixel XL. I do, however, already have Netflix installed on my phone and it appears to launch and run just fine.
(I'm at work and haven't tested the actual playing of content.) But, I suspect that I won't receive any updates to the Netflix app based on my phone being tagged as incompatible. I do not know if this is a new condition or brought about by the May 2017 update. I did not check this on April or earlier updates. Although, upon initial release, I was obviously able to install Netflix on this phone.

If you already have Netflix installed on your phone, how are you seeing that it's incompatible on the Play Store? I have Netflix installed on my phone, just checked it on the Play Store, and it says, "Your device already has this item installed".

When using the Google Play app on my Pixel XL, I am unable to even find the Netflix app. It is not showing on my list of installed apps nor can I successfully search for it and find it within the Google Play App. However, I have the actual Netflix app installed on my phone (despite what Google Play app indicates) and I can launch it and actually play content.
If I access Google Play via the web from my Windows device, that is where I can find Netflix and see the indication that it is not compatible with my Pixel XL. (even though it is actually installed)
Thanks,
S

Thats basically exactly what I'm experiencing. It doesn't show up even when I search on play store. I downloaded Netflix from APK mirror and its fine. Play store still doesn't recognize it.
Wow true. Wouldn't have noticed. Lucky it's already installed
I noticed this last night when restoring, at this moment I am purely stock and using google search to find the play store link returns "Item not found" in the play store.
Stock os, unlocked bootloader, not rooted, Verizon pixel XL
I have a Verizon pixel XL with unlocked bootloader, not rooted, and just did may ota. Netflix app was previously installed on the phone and working fine. After update the app would open but not connect. Not even showing as installed on my phone in play store or if I searched for the app in play store. Uninstalled, downloaded from APK mirror and it works just fine.
Looks like Netflix is blocking rooted or unblocked devices!

Netflix working fine here but I did have it previously installed. Vzw Pixel, stock, rooted, and May bootloader.
you can log into netflix and watch no issue, but you are no longer able to download from play store if your device has the bootloader unlocked OR you are rooted.

you can use the application with no issue, you will no longer receive updates through the play store for this app tho. You can even download the .apk directly from netflix, you just wont be able to see it when searching the play store from your rooted device(assuming it's supersu and not magisk, magisk still works)
It looks to me like apps are starting to look for root permissions and if they find you are rooted, they won't work. So far I have seen SnapChat, DirecTV Now, and now Netflix. (See a trend here?) I think this is going to start becoming the trend of things in the future.
You guys can also just use APK mirror to find it or any other APK that doesn't show up for you or is "incompatible" for your device. Mods or warez type files. All signed apks sorted by version
@pcriz - The Directv now app still requests root access from apk mirror and if you install snapchat before rooting, it will work afterwards. I started looking into root access on a per app basis, because I really only use 2 or 3 apps that need root, instead of overall root and denying access, but I haven't gotten anywhere with it. Of course there is also Chainfire's project to hide root, but I haven't had a lot of success with that so far either. At least the last time I tried it on my HTC10.

Magisk is also an option I would consider. I use it and have root with no issues from Android pay and Snapchat.
