Hi,
I have problem with sync for some apps. I'm using exchange mail (nine e-mail client), push notifications are not working correctly. My emails are in most cases comming with delay (sometimes 1/2 hour or more late). It's similar with other apps that sync over network (gmail, viber ...). The problem occurs over WiFi and mobile data, so it doesn't seem to be related to particular type of network. My current version of OS is CanogenMod 14.1 (14.1-20161215-NIGHTLY-d855). I did wipe before flashing ROM. I've tried network setting reset, and re-flash (clean) but the problem still exists.
Anyone has similar problem?
Thanks in advance,
Ismar

I've been using google's exchange server for my email, but it suddenly stopped working a few hours ago. The credentials seem correct (i've not changed them) but it just tries to sync for ages, then gives up with a message about credentials. I re-enter them and it seems to accept them, but then does it again..and again. I'm using wifi, and i have no problem surfing, so it's not an internet problem. I'm using a gmail account which was never googlemail, so I doubt it's related to the recent changes there.
Anyone else been getting problems on previously working exchange connectivity?
Hello,
Since last week a noticed a strange bug on my defy
here is the scenario:
- E-Mails are received by Mobile data connection in PUSH without issue and very quickly (GMAIL in Moto apps)
- Activate the wifi, sync still ok
- disable the wifi (mobile data back), no more sync no message receivde even in manual refresh (error no data connection). Problem both in Moto E-Mail and GMAIL software
- tried android market and browser, no problem!
- Only way to sync again is to reboot
It's very annoying, did anyone encountered this issue ?
Any idea how to solve this ?
Defy de.at.ch stock rom, rooted and overclocked
I had this issue too - though I never tried to reproduce it - and with the newer 2.34.1 ROM it works OK.
did you find other workaround than the reboot ?
I don't know if I rebooted actually.
Today it happened again, and I couldn't sync on wither on Wifi or 3G for a short while - then it worked again.
I also haven't been able to ever setup the native Email client, it always says there is no connection when logging in to Gmail.
I'm not sure i understand your problem clearly, and i'm not sure (after 1 month) i understand how Motoblur email works, but there is an option under email delivery to sync email only over wifi. If you have this checked you won't be able to sync over 3g.
i have the same problem:
in the moment that i change from 3g to wifi or from wifi to 3g, the synchronization of the emails stops. the receive does not work anymore, sending email works...
any solution?
Hello
I have a problem with downloading e-mails to my rhodium. I use stock rom 6.1 (manila 2.1). This is really strange becouse if i create other account in phone (for example hotmail) it works good. Even when i turn off wifi and download e-mails by 3G from my gmail - it works good! But if i try to download e-mails from gmail by wifi then i see "Cannot connect to the incoming mail server. Be certain your login information is correct and then try again". My wifi works good at this time, i tried weather app, youtube, opera browser and everything is good. So what can be the problem? I just cant download mails from gmail only by wifi only :/
Please help, thanks.
edit:
I also noticed that i cant update weather forecast in manila (only by wifi) and i cant connect to myphone also only by wifi. But everything works in 3G. Can it all happen becouse of installing some cookec roms? Maybe using task29 and installing stock rom again could help?
Guys, i'm trying to figure out if it's a phone problem, a software problem or a provider problem, but my situation is as follows.
When i'm on WiFi i have Gmail push notifications instantly (sometimes faster than my PC). The same with Facebook, when on WiFi it sends the notifications normally.
When i'm on 3G i never get Gmail notifications unless i open the gmail app and "Update". Same with Facebook (and twitter). If i have it to update every 1 hour, it doesn't auto-update on 3G unless i sync.
I tried everything...factory reset, uninstall gmail and reinstall...clear app data and cache...Auto-sync is on
I'm currently on 1.29.401.7, but problem was the same on 1.28.401.9
Any ideas?

I have exactly the same issue. It is driving me insane
Hey everyone,
So this just started, I'm not receiving push notifications from some apps (yahoo, snapchat, gmail). This happens on wifi or cell data. I've done some reading, and haven't seen anything that helped, I tried switching APN settings (according to another thread), I've uninstalled the apps and logged out of out of everything. Can't seem to find the problem and I'm in a panic because my yahoo account is my business and I'm missing a lot of emails if I don't check it every few minutes. Any help will be great!
