[Solved] GT-N7100 Display gone flickering

Hi all,
Just reporting a problem I had with my note 2.
Was on MIUI note2 rom. The display went flickering while using and the device was very hot. My note2 was kept near my laptop and the heat from my cooling fan could have been the culprit. Any way I took the battery out for half an hour and slowly the display came back to normal. Does any one has experienced the same kind of issue?
More over I was flashing from morning itself and could have been one of the contributing factors. Any way guess its over. Will report if there are any further events
Thank you all.

Overheating problem on G3 D855

Hello everyone,
I have a LG G3 D855 and been using it for about a month now. The phone is getting heated very quickly. The phone will decrease it's brightness automatically. But even then it's getting burning hot very fast on normal use and on very low brightness.
Is this my phone's defect?
Any method to solve or prevent this?

Just now, for the first time, tried to record some video at the highest setting. I say try because mid way through my camera app shut off and the phone went to my main screen. I then got a warning about overheating. This is not good. I seen this post and thought I would chime in with hopes there is a solution. I was really bummed as I would have loved to have the video I was shooting in the highest quality. If anyone has any recommendations, please let me, and the original poster, know. The only difference between myself and this OP is that I have the D851.
i uograded to lollipop now the overheating problem seems to be lowered

Decreasing the resolution of the screen seems to be working just fine?
I used the app 'Resolution changer power menu' to decrease the screen resolution to 1920×1080 with 530 dpi. All the apps are working just fine and the heating problem have decreased quite well.
You live in quite warm country, use 2k screen at 100% brightness (who does that), and probably have tons of apps in the background while you record 4K video. You watch few videos from Youtube, surf the net, and most likely these apps have made your phone warm. Bad reception areas makes the phone warmer too as it has to constantly search for better reception.
Basicly what I am saying is, your phone is most likely hot even before you start recording the video, so no surprise it takes you away from it.

Back getting hot near to camera

Does anyone else have issue with phone heating up as t the back near the camera whilst browsing the net using chrome I'm stock unrooted and seems just browsing the web heats the back up

I'm facing the same issue with my brand new Nexus 5X, bought 5 daysa ago. The back of the phone, near the camera and the fingerprint sensor, heats up very fast. No lags on the UI at the moment.

i think it's normal a little bit of warming: I experience it while the phone is charging and using it browsing the web.
Not Hot but warm
I have this Problem for a few month...
Sometimes my phone gets very hot (yes hot, not warm(!)) between the fingerprint sensor and camera, if i
...charge the phone and do nothing
...surf the net
I never realised the heat, but in the last time it will get often hot. Are there any hardware issue or signs for a bootloop?
In was having the same issue... Which leads to a very awful battery life. I don't know what actually helped in the combination, but ever since I flashed crdroid + shadow kernel without gapps, everything is cool and awesome. (Maybe a different rom without gapps could help too, but thats what helped me). Battery life is much much better too. I hope this helps.
My Battery sucks with 7.1.2 too...And I don't know why, but I have a lot of charging problems, if I don't use the Quick Charge. Sometimes my Powerbank (Xiaomi Powerbank with 2A Output) charge too slow...so it will go from 5% to 2%...But sometimes it charge very well.
Now I'm with the Google Pixel ROM with ElementalX Kernel...Maybe I have to reset the phone or go to 8.0...

March Update (V3.51F) released for TA-1085

Despite the February update bricking my phone I'm currently (cautiously) installing the new March Update which says it contains:
Improved System Stability
User Interface Enhancements
Google Security Patch 2019-03
It is 343.2 MB. I'll comment if/when I notice any changes (and also if it bricks my phone again... Haha).
I have a TA-1085 in the United States.

I'm following with bated breath good luck to you.
So far so good. It has been almost 24 hours since I updated and have had zero issues. In fact (and it obviously is entirely anecdotal) it feels like there is increased touchscreen responsiveness, especially while typing. I'm sure there must be other changes but the only thing I have noticed is the typing fluidity. I don't know what it was before but my touchscreen firmware version is now
Goodix-V2048-H74
Goodix-0-V01.00.24.11
It hasn't been long enough to make a judgement on battery life yet but I haven't noticed any significant changes.
Connectivity, camera, sound volume, call volume all seem the same but rarely use the phone for calling. Haven't tried it yet but was getting horrible echo on video calls through Hangouts and Duo. Will reply back after that's tested.

Mine (still on the january patch after Nokia support unbricked it) has on the first line T78 instead of your H74. The rest is identical.
One bug fixed I noticed, related to "UI enhancements" Nokia mentions in the changelog, is in the notifications panel.
Since I have set zoom level and font size to the minimum, some app notifications appeared in half and were unreadable and after the update this is fixed as should be
I'm not sure if it was present before this update but I got a system level alert yesterday that my battery was too hot and if I don't close apps the phone would shut down. Haven't seen this message before and I know my phone has been hotter than it was when I got the alert. Possibly in the update since the phone can get super hot when charging and between couch cushions if it falls in there or like in my case sitting on my car dashboard in the sun.

That's an issue I've had before with other phones. In fact, I haven't found any phone that I can successfully use as a gps on my motorcycle in sunny weather, because they tend to overheat (I tried Nokia 6.1, Nokia 7.1, Wileyfox Swift 2+, Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact). The phones stop charging, and freeze, when they overheat.

Question Heat up issue ?

This phone sometimes gets too hot.
Hi, check some prior threads for maybe some insight:
Why is my phone running hot?
Anyone know how I might go about diagnosing why my phone has been running much warmer than usual? Just browsing Facebook (posts, not video) for about 5 minutes with brightness around 25% the temp was up to 41 degrees. It happened earlier today...
