Hello,
Today i rooted my Galaxy grand with CWM using Odin and intalled SuperSu through recovery mode. Then i entered recovery mode again to install Xperia Z rom for Galaxy Grand , which i had placed in my external sd card. When i installed it using all the steps(Wipe data, cache etc etc) and reeboted my device, it got stuck on the boot screen with Samsung Galaxy grand logo running in loop for several time. Atlast i removed my battery and using the download mode again installed the 4.2.2 update with Odin.
Can u please tell me what went wrong while installing the rom.

Maybe your source file is corrupted? In CWM, after installing the ROM, does it appears installation success or update success any similar message?
And suggest you wipe data & cache after installing the ROM, not before. Wipe Dalvik cache too.

Ik think that the CWM version is to old.
Also if you want to go to lollipop later then you can't do this with CWM 6.0.2.
Download a new CWM with an minimum version 6.4.5 or TWRP 2.8.6.0.
Never tried to install the older version roms with TWRP but with CWM I was able to install all.

Have you make a backup befor you flashed The Rom?
For this Rom you need always The newest Recovery Version, depent of New updater script.
Can you go to The recovery , make a factory reset and wipe cache / dalvik.

Im using philz tuoch and i habe no prob.
At philz have check The Mount point (sdcard or sdcard/0 )
If these all not hell flash CWM.
I have no clue what i did with it, but this is on the screen:
Odin Mode
Product name: SM-T210
Current Binary: Custom
System Status: Custon
HW REV: 0x5
It has an image like: Tablet......Yellow triagle with an ! in it.....Computer.
Under that it has the text: Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again. But Kies can't connect to the device. I have no clue what i did all ....
Experts please help !!!
hey
in philz recovery, in wipe options select - clean to install new rom
the goto tab 3 7.0 area get svelte rom , you need to put it on removable microsd with card reader [get one]
the put card back in tab reboot to recovery and flash, firmware updates aren't always good or necessary,
odin should be a last option. stay calm [use the force] and good luck :good:

Its funny its only work when you factory reset, My guess would be that something wrong with twrp or updater script.*
Maybe @gr8nole*will know more bout this issue.*

( and the solution suddenly discovered )
I just hope it works for you you too
I have been successful flashing new ROMs to my T989 till 5 days ago where i tried repationing and I think it all started here .
So i followed the instructions to the letter fromhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2-tmobile/development/mod-partition-internal-memory-t-989-t3051556 then i got ( Can't mount data/preload/storage cache/invalid argument/recovery command/last log) using TWRP 2.8.6.0 so i still followed the instructions downloaded the modified pithttp://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3204691&d=1426053881 given and it partitioned the memory as expected, but still going through the cache bugs..
After clearing the cache and changed the file system to EXT 4 and everything seemed okay till i flashed back the stok rom (T989UVMC6_T989TMBMC6_TMB) using Odin 3.07 ...flashed on very well but instead of rebooting went back to stock recovery and kept showing ( E: cant mount cache/invalid argument/recovery command/last log) I wiped the cache partition and i got stuck into boot loop . using Odin 3.07 again i flashed in C.W.M 5.0.8.7
and wiped the cache and factory reset it and still got stuck at boot loop .. i tried using a rooted stock rom(TMobileT989UVMC6RootedDeodexed) it worked but kept showing The posses com.android. phone has stopped and I'm currently stuck
custom ROMs are working perfectly like the 4.4.4 carbon ROM 5.1.1 candy but i cant get back to the official stock ROM ..
please i need your help getting back to the stock ROM.

Try odin the unmodified pit (it's a attached file in the post you mentioned) because I think the stock Rom don't support such thing. After you done that, follow this guide to odin back to your stock

reboots again then stuck on samsung logo
don't know what to to else
can somebody help me with that ?
thank u'all :good:
Hi,
You need to flash back a rom. You can restore your phone with Kies and doing "firmware update" on the "tools" menu
i've already flashed a official recovery via odin
and nothing happend
is it too hard
that nobody could help me to find a solution ?
First do a full wipe (cache, dalvik/art, system, internal storage) and then boot into download mode and flash stock
Flash stock rom via Odin
thank u guys
i've did a full wipe for everything
and check the options from odin
Phone EFS Clear
Phone BootLoader Update
and now it works like a charm
it's stuck on bootloop even after flashing latest official firmware and the official stock firmware.
flashing with odin says it's successful but after flashing it boots automatically to stock recovery
can't install custom recovery like cwm and twrp
on stock recovery it has errors in red text below---
E: File Open error '/cache/recovery/last recovery'
Errors in wiping cache or factory reset in stock recovery---
E: format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/userdata
E: format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/cache
I have attached some pictures of errors in stock recovery below
please help me if someone know how to solve this
please anyone? any opinion or advice on this?
anyone?

I think you have tried the right thing, format cache, as it's not working could it be memory hardware? You could take it to some repair shop to try repair with jig.
still the same
