Anybody have a similar experience or know why this video is stubborn to play ( Missing codes?) ?

this is regarding those apps that can download youtube videos onto the sd card to be viewed later without having to stream the videos again and again...
ive noticed the videos are all off sync. the funny thing is i tried different players and they are never consistant. one time yxplayer screwed up my mp4 video so bad i had to not even the default player would play my videos, they would play the first half second then the video will freeze but the sound keeps playing.
has anyone encountered this? i wonder if this is due to the hardware but my g1 can play the same videos without problems.
When I record a video with my Evo, I tried MPEG4 and H.264, the videos record just fine on the phone and also play back like they are supposed to. When I transfer the files to play on my laptop though, there is no audio that plays with the files. I don't know if this is just a windows media player issue. Windows 7, Home premium 64 bit. Does anyone else have this problem? It did the same thing when I owned my Hero.

I just did a test, loading a video to youtube, and the sound plays just fine on youtube also. This leads me to believe it's a codec issue with the WMP
When trying to play YouTube videos through the HTC Media Link HD to my TV I just get a grey background with a picture of a TV and a phone in landscape. Anyone else had this problem and know a fix?
Also when trying to play videos taken with the phone it just says that the format is unsupported on the tv.
Stock unrooted 32 GB N7 2013. Seems to play downloaded movies fine but the Demo clip for surround sound in Play Movies stutters, not just the sound but the video also; even after a second play.
Does anyone else see this?

Played fine on mine (LTE model, also stock unrooted, still on JSS15J). While we're at it, I'd like to watch it again but wasn't able to find it anywhere. Anybody got any hints for me where to look?

I am in love with the NVIDIA shield (the pro 2019 model) , I just bought one and I cannot believe the the difference in quality when it comes to playing videos.
I changed the default video play that it comes with VLC. whatever video I play and in most times, I can rewind or FF the video. However, there are so many times when the player crashes (closes) when I do that for no obvious reason. I tried that with so many videos but I am not sure why this problem happens.
When I got the shield, I noticed that I will not be able to FF or RW unless i use the dedicated buttons on the remote (that is with the stock video player and before switching to VLC). Now I cannot figure out how to solve this annoying problem or how to return to the stock player (original player). Can someone please help?
