Bump

I haven't had this occur to me yet on my Pixel XL.... I know in the past, that it would reach out to use the Facebook contact photo on my HTC 10.... But I turned off the sync Facebook contacts and don't think I ever had the issue reoccur.

Sync.Me from the Google Play Store works great...been using it for idk how long...
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.syncme.syncmeapp

I've tried the most popular contact pic sync apps. I settled for Social Contact Photo Sync. First time setup was a pain but everything thereafter works better than the others.

Push mail software instead of K9?

Im having lots of problems with K9 and my IMAP mail accounts. From time to time it shows as there is new mail, but it doesn't ring for it and when entering the account won't download it. I have to go to the stock HTC app to read the mail.
Can you please recommend me any other push mail app that I could try?
I'm trying out 'Improved Email' and so far I think it is pretty awesome.
I actually wrote a guide on this recently. It does not exactly solve your problem, but consider this the best workaround available.

looking for a Facebook app that will allow me to upload VIDS !

ive looked and looked with no luck
anyone have any hidden jems they like to share
Anyone I tried qik but had no luck unless I used the wrong one
from the fade

I've never tried uploading a video with my EVO, but I've done it using my old Touch Pro, I just uploaded the video like it was a photo, the application didn't say it was for a video, just uploaded it as if I was doing a photo.
Pixel pipe or bff photo
Qik works for me. Only problem is you cannot attach a comment with it. It always titles the post something like check out this video. Other than that works fine. You have to upload the video first, then click the Facebook button to share it to Facebook.

A question that what you made fuzzy were numbers or names?
And there is an old bug in Android, in the stock sms app. Where it doesn't recognize contacts. I has it.
So I use a thirdparty app. Handcent.

Well I am not sure you have the bug I do. As said I see only numbers so this might be not even related.
Maybe there is some easy fix for this, try to search or wait till someone more experienced answers.
But you like the stock app. Imagine how much you will love not just like but LOVE the thirdparty app. Handcent or Go SMS.
Just try it if it displays the pics if nothing else . If there are no pics you can rule out the SMS apps and move on to fix your contacts.

I see contact pictures/icons in the SMS application, always have. I think it depends on where your contacts are coming from, mine are from Hotmail Exchange. If I add a picture to a contact on the phone, it appears online as well.
Regards
Phil
I also see contacts pictures properly from Facebook.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app

Ok, so its not an facebook issue, because i dont see the pictures from contacts who are not connected to facebook neither. And they wont show up in Handcent, too. Pretty weird.

Font-Size HTC Mail

Hey guys,
I know this problem has been posted several times, but since there's no solution yet, I wanted to try it again.
The problem is, that every HTML-Email is displayed way too big in the HTC mail app.
I've tried to change the size-setting to "small" but that didn't work.
Please, Please help me. :crying:
This bug is so annoying, that I even thought of bringing the HOX back and using my old Desire HD again.
Greetings,
oberbapti

Just out of Curiosity is the e-mail account you've linked to it a Hotmail account?
As I'm sure this is a hotmail related issue, because I've seen it asked alot, and many people say it only happens with a Hotmail account.
If it is a hotmail account, perhaps you could log into hotmail from a pc, and try to change your font sizes their etc, then see if that in turn funnels down to your HTC Hotmail ?
I HOPE THAT MAKES SENSE !!

Thank you for your reply. No it's a gmail-account. I got a gmx.net-account too, so this problem
is not account related. I hope there's a solution.

I spoke to somebody from HTC and they are completely denying the problem.
I pointed them to one of the hundreds of reports of this on google and here etc, and he said there was nothing they could do.

There is thread somewhere with a zip file with smaller fonts for the HTC One X.
I, too, think that the fonts on this phone are way too big; however, this is a Sense thing because when used with an AOSP/AOKP/CM10 ROM, the font size is just fine.

I thought so...
Hey guys, thanks for your help =)
I thought that HTC would deny the problem as they always do. Maybe I can reach someone at HTC elevate.
@Quiksilver78, can you tell me where to find the .zip file? Thank you :good:
