Hello xda forum members
I have a question. After upgrading my phone (nexus 5x) to android 7.1.1 my phone connects to bluetooth but inmediately disconnects.
My girlfriends phone (nexus 5x android 7.1.1) has the same problem.
My sons phone a moto g with android 6 works fine.
My unit is a rk3188 unit from zenith-make now called silverstrong. It has android 4.4.4 installed any ideas how to fix this?
Many thanks in advance

Firstly please write down the system information and all the data of the factory settings of your unit.
It is very important to record these data before upgrade.
1). Extract it and copy "update.img" to a blank SD card formatted as FAT32.
2). Power Off the head unit
3). Insert the SD card to the GPS SD SLOT (yes, it should be GPS slot)
4). Enter Settings----About machine,click System updates
5). The head unit detect the upgrade software, and then click confirm to upgrade it.(Click the "Wipe data and format flash!" icon)
Attention: Please do not power off and do not take out of SD card during update. It may take 5 minutes for update, so please pay more
patience on it. And please follow the way to update it strictly.

This is a known problem for Android 7.1.1
There are a lot of people with diverse car stereos having this problem. It is a Bluetooth related problem with cars and Android 7.1.1, it is not a problem of your unity.
The only way to fix is to revert back to Android 7.0 or prior.

I am experiencing the same issue, same phone and rom i9195 JDQ39.I9195XXUBMJ7. Wifi works after reboot for about 10 minutes and then stops responding. It may stay connected for a few hours after it stops working, but the phone can't send data over it.
I have wiped data/factory reset the phone to no avail.
I read somewhere about a few people with other devices on 4.2 having troubles with AES encryption on their routers. Might be somewhere for us to start troubleshooting. The other option is to just try downgrading to the previous version.
i have an xtrons hu with kitkat flashed on it. i upgraded to the new lollipop rom and 2 weeks later wifi stopped working. i downgraded back to kitkat today but the wifi still doesn't work. does anyone have any ideas of things i can try to fix it? maybe flashing a mcu or is it likely that the wifi hardware has failed?
I've got the same problem - wifi is dead. An external Wifi adapter doesn't work either although the USB port appears to be OK with memory keys.
It seems to be the same hardware problem caused by a defective inductor very sensible to overheating with the ext USB, look for the solution in my thread,

You dont have an Xtrons head unit, Xtrons are simply resellers, to find out what unit type you have go to settings/about device.

Really, are you sure its not just a case of flashing the latest MCU or re-flashing the latest MCU if youre already running it ? It usually is.
Hi
My Xperia M5 dual (E5633) with latest firmware 30.2.B.0.100 doesnt stay connected to my Android 4.4.4 car radio. The radio has the RK3066 chip and latest MCU ver and it is rooted.
The issue i have is, once paired it connects for a few seconds the disconnects repeatedly and it does this until i unpair or connect anothe bluetooth device to my phone. This all started with the Marshmallow update. I can connect ather devices to my phone and radio and have tried a Samsung S6 with Marshmallow and it worked.
I am hoping someone can help as i dont want to downgrade to lollipop just for this one issue.
Regards Matthew
I thought that I was the only one having this issue.
The same scenario, can't conect it to a bluethoot device.
Any suggestions?
Regards
I downgraded back to 5.1. And now it works perfectly. I have tried Sony but haven't heard from them yet. What phone and head unit you have?
I have a E5606 with MM, and already looked for the issue. It's the MM update, I read it here And it seems that a downgrade will do it as it worked with you.
So it seems there is still not resolution for this problem. I am hoping they bring a new update for Marshmallow that solves this.
Looks like it has something to do with the way the link is established. Have the problem where media streaming sound does not come through. Found that if I switch Bluetooth off and on again on the M5, while the radio is on, seems to fix it. Pain that you have to do this every time.
Hi guys! first of all sorry for the poor english.
I have a Huawei mediapad M2 10.0 A0L1 said M2-A0L1 , 3 Go ram , 16 GB, 3G sim card, EMUI 3.1 android 5.1.1, Build : M2-A01LV100R001C233B011SP01-log.
Custom rom, no root, no bootload
I think it is a chineese modele.
Now the story:
I tried somedays ago to upgrade the mediapad with some huawei updater found on the playstore, as they say at my own risks. I tried to be as carefull as I could (updating/grading mediapad could be tricky as some models herbely differ from one another).
So I found one (mistook) and it perfomed the uppdate directly within the internal sd.
The update seemed to have suceeded but after the reboot nothing seemed to have changed, I even tried a second attemp but still nothing changed. I then wanted to connect to internet but no connection eventhough wifi toogle was on.
I gave a look to the settings and it appears that IP number is missing too.
I recently tried to upgrade via external sd to android 6 (europeen version) but failed once again.
Then performed a factory reset since the recovery reset ( power button + low sound button) did work for me. And even with all that done still no wifi
What should/could I do , that appart the tablet is running clean. I just need my wifi back.
THANKS FOR THE HELP and have a good day

Hi, sorry to hear about your troubles from flashing an incorrect ROM. It may be that the ROM you flashed messed with the radio partitions on the device, or that your /system/phone.prop file is incorrect.
Here is the official Huawei ROM for B025 for the M2-A01L (M2-A01L, Android 5.1.1, EMUI 3.1, V100R001C233B025): http://download-c.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=78087&version=310901&siteCode=cn
You can try downloading and flashing this ROM after performing a factory reset on your phone. Hopefully this will flash the clean ROM onto your phone, fix your radio settings and cure your wifi problem. Good luck!
EDIT: Also, please note that some ROM versions have problems with Wifi if the Wifi router is configured to send out 5GHz "AC-Only" mode Wifi connection - you need to set your wifi router to "Mixed" or "N-only" mode on the 5GHz band to get wifi connectivity back.
Thanks beast.in.black I'll give it a try and let you know whether it works for me!
Cheers
Soooo it worked, wifi is back again thanks to you beast.in.black. Now do you think I can find and download the asian (chineese) marshmallow version ?
Thanks again

As far as I know, there is no Marshmallow that exists for this device (10.1 model)... Where did you find one? There is not a single thread in this forum that says that a Marshmallow ROM exists for this device
Hey sorry for the late answer but you are right there is none it was a mistake.
Have a good day
Dear XDA forum members,
I've been experiencing this issue with incoming calls from a specific number since the upgrade to Android 8.0 (Oreo):
(this is a quote from my post on the Google productforums)
Hi all,
I've been experiencing a weird problem with my LG Nexus 5X phone. Let me explain:
When I dial my mobile phone number on my company's internal phones, I hear a dial tone on the line but drops after two 'rings'. With no redirect to voicemail. The phone itself does not ring, there is no trace of the call.
There is no problem when I call from a fixed residential or mobile phone.
Troubleshooting steps:
I work for a telecom provider myself, we checked the RAN and see paging going out to the handset, the handset responds to this paging. We then see the 'ALERTING' phase which means the call is in fact routed to the handset.
I then switched my SIM card to an iPhone and another Android phone, the problem does not occur with these handset.
So I tried a factory reset of my Nexus 5X, this didn't solve the problem.
Afterwards, I did another factory reset, but then set up the phone as a new phone instead of restoring a back-up. This also didn't solve the problem.
The phone was on Android version 8.0.0 (OPR4.170623.009, Oct 2017), I flashed it to Android 7.1.2 (N2G48C, Aug 2017), and the calls were working again!
I also forced the handset on 2G, but this also doesn't solve the problem.
I then flashed the handset again to the latest Android 8.0.0 (OPR6.170623.023, Nov 2017) release, but the problem occurs again. This time, I noticed that when the call is made from our company's internal phones, my cell phone's signal goes away and comes back up a few seconds later. So it seems that the radio crashes. I've attached a log of the radio made with 'adb logcat -b radio'. I also added the relevant crash log.
I've also tested this with a colleague who has the Nexus 5X. The problem also occurs on his handset.
When calling my brother who currently lives in the States (and also has a 5X), the problem does not occur.
Thanks in advance,
Ruben

The thing I've been wondering, would it be possible to flash the radio image of the stock 7.1.2 (N2G48C, Aug 2017) version on a system & bootloader image that runs version 8.0.0 (OPR6.170623.023, Nov 2017)?
So basically, use the radio software of Android 7 on an Android 8 system. Could this break anything? Otherwise I'd figure I just test this...
Thanks in advance!

It is perfectly fine to do this. Just flash and see which gives you better dBm signal and data speeds.
Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Thanks for the answer! I flashed the radio-bullhead-m8994f-2.6.37.2.21 image, but the issue isn't resolved.
Guess I'll have to wait for Google to fix this.
