Hi, you can flash twrp using Odin. I used Odin 3.11 , loaded the tar image of twrp into AP. I unchecked auto reboot then flashed it. Disconnect your device, reboot by pressing power, vol down an home together for about 10 seconds.
Important: As soon as the screen goes off switch your finger from vol down to vol up while pressing the other two buttons. This will ensure recovery is booted. If you dont boot recovery it gets wiped. Once in twrp you can install supersu.zip.
You may have to rename /system/recovery-boot.p (not the exact name) to something else to prevent stock recovery being installed.
There is lots of info on this. Also it will increase your Knox counter.
Rob

Thanks, I don't care about Knox... The tablet is two years old.
Can you share a link for working TWRP that will definitely works?

CF Autoroot is for 5.0.2 so Lollipop not Marshmallow. Chainfire hasn't done one for 6.01 yet and afaik the method for Marshmallow is system-less. Can anyone confirm that it works on 6.01?

That's great! I was looking at the threads that say you have to flash TWRP then flash supersu.zip.
But to be sure about your thread as you may just be answering the OP request for TWRP, can I just use CFautoroot via Odin or do I need to first flash TWRP?

You do not need to flash twrp unless you want a custom recovery. You can just flash cf autoroot to achieve root.

Thanks, this is what I thought.
A friend wants me to do his T800 as well and I'm presuming the same CFAR (T800 version 5.0.2) should also work.

actually sir, i m going to flash Custom Rom so, thats why i was install CWM,
actually my main purpose to flash custom rom, to feel much more fluid ui..
Ok ok then just keep cwm and flash desired custom rom.
I advised to make nandroid backup, you having mount error may be due to issue with sds card, copy sd card sd content to PC and then format it, then it should work.
Make nandroid on ext sd card, to preserve it if you need to wipe anytime.
Goodluck
Edit :
Don't forget to make efs backup and move copy of it to safe on pc.

Just untick "Auto-Reboot within odin & flash , then reboot manually power+volume up.
Another thing: I can't use odin because I don't have a computer. There's an app called flashify that installs recoveries but it still only works with 2.6.3.0. Even installing the latest version from goo manager doesn't work.

I think I will need to install TWRP with Odin -- goomanager isn't working for me. It SAYS that it has installed TWRP, but every time I try to get into recovery all I get is the standard Android recovery.
My question, please is this: where did you get the tar file for TWRP, and which slot did you use with Odin? Was it the PDA?
Thanks very much

I got mine by going to the twrp site, but I admit it wasn't exactly easy to find. You can know you're getting the right version of TWRP if you download CPU-Z from the play store and check the third page that says system; the model name gives you the store citric name you'll look for when you go to the TWRP site, but the link I gave you is for the lt03wifiue .
Have fun!

Goo manager doesn't work on our tablet for install of twrp.
Use the link four posts up for the twrp. Also, just check your SOC with CPUz, to make sure it's actually the right version of twrp for your tablet. But Odin is the way to go.

I'm hoping maybe someone could enlighten me how to get TWRP to boot into TWRP. I had CleanRom installed and everything was working with TWRP. Stupid me I thought I could help battery life by doing a Cache and Dalvik Cache wipe. Bonked my P600! I had to ODIN a new firmware, rooted and tried to get TWRP installed. I've tried the ODIN Tar method 2.6.3.1, Tried with a TWRP zip file and Goo Manager to install TWRP and none worked. When I go to recovery I keep getting the Android System Recovery. My head is banging on my desk at the moment. Would anyone have an idea how to get TWRP working on my rooted and now stock P600? I so want to get Clean 2.0 back. :crying::crying::crying::crying:
A big Thanks in advance for the help.
Solved: I'm not sure why but I tried ODIN again and TWRP install. WEIRD

1. Boot into download/bootloader mode.
2. Connect to pc and use odin to flash twrp. Make sure you uncheck reboot and flash twrp in the pda slot.
3. Once flashed pull battery and disconnect from pc.
4. Press vol+ menu power buttons while inserting battery (yes it is difficult but can be done)
5. Now in recovery perform factory reset.
6. Flash this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36388145
7. Now reboot it will act/look weird but dont worry this is normal. It will reboot and take a long time to boot.
Now you are on stock mc2 (no knox anymore). Root using cf autoroot http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33278464

I then flashed cm 10.1 and the phone worked for calls but the asop keyboard kept crashing and couldn't login to the wifi network. I tried several installs with factory resets with the same results. CF Auto root IS NOT cf auto rooting after 4.4.

Flashed the Columbian 4.4.2 via Odin and went to root it with CF Auto root following all of the instructions, but when I open titanium backup and SUpersu I am told that I dont have the correct binaries installed. Warrantee bit is 1. So I screwed my warrantee and don't even have root to show for it. I have tried the procedure 3 times now with no results. Thanks for any help.

Download TWRP from their website. Use version 2.6.3.3 that's the stable one. When you download, download the IMG.Tar one. Don't unzip it.
Put tablet into download mode and connect to odin. In Odin untick auto reboot, press AP and click the twrp you downloaded and flash.
Then reboot into recovery and flash SU zip

Put tablet into download mode and connect to odin. In Odin untick auto reboot, press AP and click the twrp you downloaded and flash.
Then reboot into recovery and flash SU zip

Thanks for the help. Followed all of the steps, but can't boot into recovery. I used to have a custom boot menu that allowed me to do it, but it is gone. I am powering off the device, holding Vol UP and power. When I see the Galaxy Note splash screen, I am releasing power. I have tried a ton of times and it is not working.

Hold vol up, power and home. When you see galaxy note, release power button but keep holding the other two

So when I do that, it stays on the Galaxy Note splashscreen forever. I hold down power again and it reboots.
Maybe i have to order of operations wrong. I can start over.
I have the KK update installed, all is working fine.
I need to flash TWRP, ChainFire AutoRoot, and SuperSU.
If I were to start over, I should flash Autoroot with Odin, then TWRP with Odin? Then I should be able to boot into recovery with your instructions and flash the SuperSU zip file in recovery?
Sorry, normally this stuff is easy for me. Not sure why I am struggling so much here.

Now you're confusing me
The first bit of you're post is correct. Autoroot, then Twrp then su zip
When flashing TWRP make sure to untick auto reboot in odin or it probably won't work

That is the issue I think. The version of Odin I am using has Auto Reboot greyed out. Won't let me uncheck it. I am using Odin v3.09.

Have you tried exiting completely and then trying again. Or sometimes you have to add the file in odin first and then you can change it.

I think that this is the issue. Auto Reboot stays greyed out in Odin. Even if I load the TWRP file first. Maybe I need another version of Odin?

Using Odin 3.07 I was able to uncheck auto reboot. Once I flashed TWRP, it was just sitting in the download mode screen of course. I held power and it rebooted. Still unable to get into recovery mode.

Did you download 2.6.3.3 version? Also make sure you got the right one lt03wifiue. Power+vol up+home then only release the power button as soon as you see Samsung note screen, the first one
Make sure the file is flashed before rebooting.

I used odin and downloaded the img.tar file for my G928T
https://eu.dl.twrp.me/zenltetmo/
Connect in download mode and simply load up the tar file and apply it, it should reboot into TRWP recovery automatically. Volume up + power + home button to manually boot into it.

This TWRP bootlooped me for some reason. Did you flash a custom kernel first?

Nah, completely wiped my phone, installed the 7.0 update via odin, then rebooted phone and flashed TWRP in download mode.
When you say "this" I assume youve tried other versions that have worked? If so, why not give that a shot.

I had the recovery I was using from MM but I also completely wiped then installed 7.0 in Odin. Only difference I rooted before trying twrp, maybe that effected it. I'll keep playing with it I'm sure I'll figure it out. I was just curious if you needed a custom kernel. Thanks again for the help and link to root.
