we need high customized modified Kernel with many options and additives please :crying::crying::crying:
Hyper kernel just needed wifi issues fixed and it would have been perfect
I think the current answer is No, the only kernel: "Hyper" was stopped the development by its owner.
For wifi issue, it's because you guys are using this kernel with a rom which do not build from new kernel source (e.g. Old RR, MIUI)

I would like find the freshest available 3.0 kernel for the Desire Z. Where is it hosted? My intention is to make a kernel more stable than others available, as all are undervolted, and unfortunately with those settings I am experiencing random reboots. I've found some sources, tuned voltages to the original ones (as in htc's 2.6.35 kernel), and the reboots disappeared.
Thanks in advance,
The Andromadus 3.x kernel and cn.fyodor's are the most recent, I might say fyodor's might be slightly ahead being as he is the Andromadus kernel guy and his kernel stuff which goes into his ROM probably gets merged into Andromadus later (or maybe he does entirely different things for each, I'm not sure, you'd have to ask him).
By the way if you manage to get either of the above up and running, I'd appreciate some help as I've been trying to compile the Andromadus kernel but have so far not been able to produce a zImage, although compilation seems fairly smooth .
And are these kernel for sense? I always read on forums that there are kernels for sense roms, but actually I dont know the difference.
Last time I compiled from github / ajhavery / htc7x30-3.0.git, and it compiled well for me.
Then two linked to you by htcdreamon are for aosp/cm/aokp etc, you are right that you can not interchange aosp kernels and sense kernels, by and large they are not compatible

Hello friends
i tried to backup my stock kernel ddmd1 version 2.6.35 in case i flashed a new kernel and wanted to revert to stock one
i just want someone who can test this kernel if it installs correctly
please devs please test this and report me if it flashed successfully
this is stock kernel so it is completely stable and causes no issues
Hey xda developers!
So guys i was really taken in by the ElementalX kernel and all the hard work that put into that project. I am in need of a rooted rom that is based on Android Kit Kat (4.4+).
Now i have tried putting the ElementalX kernel on Cyanogenmod 11 (nightly build 4.4.2) on my Nexus 7 2013 32GB wifi only model FLO build KRT16S but the kernel made the ROM for the most part unstable. After flashing the elementalX kernel on CM11 (wiped dalvik/cache) i would get this ugly blue color and blocks on black and pink on my N7 screen and then 3-4 minutes Cyanogenmod 11 would boot up. Now i can tell the kernel took because all of my icons changed color and i checked the kernel in settings
However, after flashing the ElementalX kernel on CM11 it was very very laggy. I have tried for the most part all options...
I tried low settings high settings, and all stock options which all ended in the same result -> laggy.
Okay so if Cyanogenmod 11 is not a good candidate for ElementalX (most likely was my fault but moving on) can one of you great guys or gals please let me know what KitKat based ROM you are using with your ElementalX kernel?
Requirements for ROM:
very simple...
has to be pre-rooted
has to be Kit Kat based
I really appreciate any input or advice you can offer me...
Also what settings are you using for your Nexus 7 with your ElementalX ROM?...
Maybe its just how i am setting up my kernel but i did try almost every option for Cyanogenmod 11 which is why i want to try and start testing other Kit Kat Based Roms.
Thank you all so much for your time and your assistance...

CleanROM is a very good ROM to try before trying any others. It does not have a ton of features, actually very few, but it is fast and stable.
A lot of people run CR with ElementalX. (I do). It's the kernel that the CR dev recommends.
I also like Sinless ROM which has lots more options. But if this is your first custom ROM start with CLeanROM. The people in the CR Thread are very helpful if when you have questions.
Hi, today I updated PAC ROM 4.3 from faust93 but then after error 7 on update process I realized it was upgraded to 4.4 then I installed TWRP 2.6 and it worked nice altough its alfa and lost functions.
The mainly problem is that the old kernel from faust93 doesnt work (original kernel has terrible governors expending a lot of battery) and I can see that on http://xep.8800.org/e957/ there is a lot of different versions from his kernel, does someone know if one of them is compatible with PAC ROM 4.4 ?
I would send it on the Pac Rom thread but xda restrictions don't let me do it and developer did not warn about upgrade to 4.4 so I dont know if he would answer
Thanks

check android development, the faust 93 kernel.
For Officials ROM use F93 kernel gproj 2.2
For Unofficials ROM use F93 kernel AOSP 0.5

Thank you, I didnt realize there was a thread for his kernel :silly:
Hi guys! First, I have compiled and built my new custom kernel from Ubuntu, but I tried many times to build it and flashing it and wifi doesn't want to turn on at all every time. I tried flashing my kernel on stock rom and custom roms, but nothing for wifi. I've used android ndk r18blinux, the Oreo kernel source for the SM-A520W from Samsung Open Source(canadian variant) and the stock kernel .img to build my kernel . Bluetooth and the other functionalities still work. (Sorry for my bad English)
