I tried many 3D Movie player apps before landing on VRTV - I was pretty content.
Just yesterday, the author added Daydream support, which lets the app appear in your Daydream library (nice) and supports Controller actions/clicks to control the app (file selection, player controls, volume +/-, zoom, re-center, 3D mode, etc.).
v3.2 is still in beta, but seems pretty well baked.
:good:
Is this it?

What type of TV does it let you get?
CZ, yes, that's the app.
Not sure about your second question.
So you can use this to watch 2D movies too?

Yes, you can select 2D format. Works well if that's what you're playing

Thanks for this! My Pixel XL and Daydream VR are on their way, so I bought the app and joined the beta program. Can't wait to try it!
Just a note:
Many of my 3D titles are in MKV format. The app does not natively support the audio track on this format. You'll need to install a codec which is simple enough. The author is taking the conservtive approach not to bundle this codec with his app.
1. Download the APK for VLC for Android, version 1.7.5 and unzip/winrar it.
http://get.videolan.org/vlc-android/1.7.5/VLC-Android-1.7.5-ARMv7.apk
2. Copy the file "lib/armeabi-v7a/libvlcjni.so" to your phone
3. Start VRTV and select "Install codec library" from the top right menu, locate libvlcjni.so and select it.
4. Restart VRTV, AC3/DTS audio should work

Worked great, thanks! Just have to play around with the settings some more and get used to the interface. Wish that Android could understand exfat so I could just leave a bunch of my bigger movies on my flash drive for when I want to watch them. Don't really want to fill up my internal storage with them.

Hi - I am new to Android and am struggling with some fairly basic concepts:
1. Unloading images, and video: I have Win7 and using the built in Windows image importer - it tries to unload all other images - not just camera. So I get lots of bookmark thumbnails etc; etc; I have also tried doubleTwist but that seemed overly complicated?
2. Sharing recorded video with others: The Desire seems to record to a format that no one can play. Well the video does but the sound does not. I have read that there is no way round this and you can only play it on your phone!!?? Surely thats not right? I just want to email friends some videos - surely thats not tricky!?
3. Multiple calendar reminders: When I get a reminder I get the option to Snooze All or Dismiss All - but I cant seem to dismiss just one reminder. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for any help

1. The beauty of using a non-Apple smartphone is that you don't have to use a special application to manage your files. Just connect your device to your PC as a disk drive. Browse to it with your file explorer and just drag&drop.
2. Not sure what you mean here. Windows Media Player on Windows can play the videos recorded with the Desire. And Quicktime on OSX can as well.
3. Yeah, there's no way around this one. Bummer...
In terms of photos, why don't you just drag and drop...you don't really need to use an importing tool. That seems overly complicated for what you want.
On the video side of things, you have two formats to choose from. 3gp and Mp4. When you're shooting video there's a tab on the left. Pull it out and at the bottom is the settings. You can then choose "Encoding type" and switch. I believe you'll get the best compatibility with Mp4.
The reminders thing? I have no clue.
1. Issue with sync - OK I will drag and drop. The importer utility is normally quite handy as it only unloads images that havent already been unloaded etc; etc;
2.

I have the choice out of H.263 and MPEG4. Both options output a .3gp file (I presumed that MPEG4 should output a .MP4). Both .3gp give the following message in VLC player "No suitable decoder module: VLC does not support the audio or video format "samr". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this." Media player doesnt give me a message it just doesnt give audio. Google this tells me that there is no easy way to solve this. So how come it works for you?
3. "...Yeah, there's no way around this one. Bummer..." Bummer indeed
Oh well - thanks for your answers guys but I would really love to try and sort this video issue. Incidentally its the same with sound recordings - they use the same samr codec which basically cant be used
Ah, well it seems both RealPlayer and Quicktime can play back the videos encoded with the mp4 or H.263 format.
EDIT - And also Windows Media player. I have read that VLC can't play them due to licensing issues for the AMR sound format.
download and install the k-lite codec pack it will include the classic player which is more than capable of playing these videos. I did have an issue with my vids i was recording when i was making a recording that lasted longer than 10 minutes, it was almost as if the card was too full record properly however the recorder still carried on going, this can be recognised when you press stop on the video recording and it goes straight back to the desktop instead of the camera. when this occurs nothing will play the file as it is corrupt. it must have been a third party program i had installed as when i defaulted the device the problem stopped and it would record as normal.
I read an article today at WMPoweruser.com from Surer about streaming music from Skydrive.
So I tried it out myself. Result: you can play music and videos from Skydrive and Dropbox.
WM7 opens the webbrowser for you to open the file. It is then downloaded to your phone. Next the Zuneplayer is started and it will play your music or video.
Snag: only audio and video files that can be played with the Zune player on your desktop computer can be opened with the Zuneplayer on your phone.
Solution: convert the files with Zune on your desktop computer, upload it and enjoy!
I tried it from my own Apache webserver in a dedicated folder but it failed because the settings aren't right. The file isn't downloaded, but this can be fixed easily. If it works I will have my own near limitless cloudservice.
Thanks for the heads up. I've been going through, looking for the differences, and the biggest changes I've noticed are in the animations.
Also Amazon music and Google music can be played in the same way.

My understanding is you have to have premium version to access HTML5 player - which makes sense, since they don't want people with mobile devices to be able to use their site, because that would remove a huge incentive for people to buy the premium version.

Two questions:
- Is the file accessible trough the Office Hub on your phone and
- Can you play the mp3 file with the Zuneplayer on your computer
Try also the option of streaming via Dropbox, Amazon or Google. I just tried it and it does work.
soundcloud.com works now, too.. and in the background while doing other things. then it fades on call, and fades back after the call.
well done so far
my page has music on it, too. it should work now, too (being a html5 player). but as it's offline for the time being (i'm moving to a new home, physically), i can't test
so does bandcamp
sometimes, it's nice to not be first. all the pages had time to prepare for iphone/ipad and co, and now just work on wp7. great great.
Check out the music player on lynziekent.com --it works great but i am wondering if there is a way to enable next/previous buttons (the ones with the volume control) to control the playlist inside the music player on the site.

Known issues
App can take a minute to load on initial launch.
Mouse clicking doesn't seem to work.
Direct keyboard alpha numeric entry doesn't seem to work, but arrow navigation works.
Hardware decoding only available on some devices. No hardware decoding on Mali400 devices such as the MK802 and Mini X.
Tested on my GNex: works fine!
Also tested on Gtab 10.1: Doesn't work because Tegra2 doesn't support Neon.
ENJOY!

Extra info:
XBMC is an award-winning free and open source (GPL) software media player and entertainment hub for digital media. XBMC is available for Linux, OSX, and Windows. Created in 2003 by a group of like minded programmers, XBMC is a non-profit project run and developed by volunteers located around the world. More than 50 software developers have contributed to XBMC, and 100-plus translators have worked to expand its reach, making it available in more than 30 languages.
While XBMC functions very well as a standard media player application for your computer, it has been designed to be the perfect companion for your HTPC. Supporting an almost endless range of remote controls, and combined with its beautiful interface and powerful skinning engine, XBMC feels very natural to use from the couch and is the ideal solution for your home theater.
Currently XBMC can be used to play almost all popular audio and video formats around. It was designed for network playback, so you can stream your multimedia from anywhere in the house or directly from the internet using practically any protocol available. Use your media as-is: XBMC can play CDs and DVDs directly from the disk or image file, almost all popular archive formats from your hard drive, and even files inside ZIP and RAR archives. It will even scan all of your media and automatically create a personalized library complete with box covers, descriptions, and fanart. There are playlist and slideshow functions, a weather forecast feature and many audio visualizations. Once installed, your computer will become a fully functional multimedia jukebox.
It is difficult to put into words all that XBMC can do, head to the gallery to see some examples, or take the plunge and Try it Today.

Mouse clicking is a problem since the tolerance for click vs swipe seems to be too low. A quick tap works.

Love this device, but there's two things left on my list of things to update/modify which I'm stuck on.
I rooted the device
went through the Xposed catalog
updated to KitKat
downloaded a bunch of apps like Dropbox, Google Drive, Coursera, emulators, games, synced all my e-mail/social accounts, etc. etc.
bought the Samsung OTG adapter to connect a 1TB external HDD (Game of Thrones Seasons 1 - 3!)
Later I plan on getting a controller and keyboard for games and productivity.
So the basis for this entire post;
The last 2 things I'm trying to get on my tablet is flash and Viper4Android.
My GSIII on PacRom (4.3) has flash enabled using an older version of Dolphin Browser (allows me to watch full episodes of the Colbert Report/Daily Show on Comedy Central). Also, Viper4Android works flawlessly.
I can't seem to find a solution for my Note 2014 tho.
My main questions are does anybody here know how to enable flash and install Viper4Android on the Note 2014?
What I've tried so far;
trying to enable Flash
-downloaded Dolphin/Boat/other flash enabled browsers after dl'ing the recommended files from Adobe's official website
-use the old version of Dolphin the same way my phone has it
trying to install Viper4Android
-install to System/apps then another suggestion to install from System/priv-apps (all permissions set as suggested)
-followed a few guides that talked about editing build.prop (found a solution for the Note 3, however, the lines required for me to edit weren't there on the Note 2014)
Mainly I don't expect my tablet to turn into an amazing sound system, but one of my minor gripes is that it's speakers are somewhat quiet. If V4A doesn't work for us, is there a sound hack to increase how loud we can set the volume (especially for movie watching, even MX Player's 200% sound increase is a little lacking for me)
Thanks! regardless even if there's no known solutions yet.

This kind of works! Thanks! With one caveat however, I played a few songs using PlayerPro (bought the full version and is my preferred player) the stock Samsung Music Player, and Google Music Player; but it doesn't seem to fully function. Driver Status says Processing: No.
So I set the FX Compatibly Mode from Normal --> Compatible and selected Force Enable V4A.
Retested the three players on my tablet, and the Google Music Player has an audible difference. I tested this by putting the reverb to some ridiculous setting, and the Google Player was obviously audibly different, while Player Pro and the stock music app were the same. Can't check Driver Status in Compatibility Mode however, but it was clear GMP works with V4A while the other 2 did not.
So now, the problem changes from getting V4A to work (because it does with Google's music app!) to getting it to work with PlayerPro and universally across apps in general. Curious if there's anyway to do this? Im hoping to find a way to get V4A to work with MXPlayer and PlayerPro as well!

I just testing the app, and I have to say: Cool, man, this is a realy cool. Now I can listening a music from YT with minimal battery consumption, because screen is off.
In my opinion, and for my taste, your app interface is nicer but official app.
I don't want to be a saucy, just asking:
-Can you implement a feature, when watching video in app (portrait mode, not full screen) and press back to return on search results, video continue playing in small window in bottom right corner? You know, as an official YT app.
-Can you implement a feature music continue to play when exit on home button?
Thanks.

Actually i'm not the developer of this app i credit the OP above.
And about your questions really i have asked before about the background feature and i use the "awesome pop-up" app to floating window of video and do other things in my phone.
Another thing, try this new mod Youtube here with new YT sources and all the features you asking for it, if you don't want to face any problem with it use the xposed version.
(For xposed version scroll down and click on xposed icon, you will have two downloads app one for the mod YT and other apk for module in xposed)
