I guess its a recovery with modification to device tree and kernel. I recommend to stay away from the 2nd file.
You only need the .zip file. and yeah, dont forget to flash the latest TWRP 3.0.2-1

Can you restore your app+data via titanium backup? And what gapps you choose?
Last week I flashed cm14.1 r2 but I couldn't restore my app because there is no sd card option in titanium backup and insufficient memory when i flashed pico opengapps. Thanks in advance.
When I tried to flash the rom, TWRP 3.0.2-1 says that no md5 file found but the flash is still successful. But when I tried to update the rom with the new nightly (1130) using the updater, it says that md5 mismatch. How can I fix this? Thanks a lot

I'm pleased to present my repack of the stock ROM for the HTC Vision! READ THIS WHOLE POST BEFORE YOU START! No, really, it contains everything you need to know.
Remember that if you use this ROM, you do so entirely at your own risk!!
About MoDaCo stock ROM repacks
Unlike a MCR (MoDaCo Custom ROM) release, a stock ROM repack is as close to the stock ROM as possible. Only root / Superuser and an insecure boot image is added. The benefits of the repack are providing a rollback option in update zip format as well as providing an online kitchen to remove parts that are not required.
A MCR release of this ROM is also available!
Requirements
In order to use this ROM on your device, you must have a custom recovery image installed (Clockwork Mod).
THIS ROM SHOULD RUN ON BOTH THE G2 AND THE DESIRE Z!
Features
Repack of the 2.15.531.3 (OTA) Gingerbread ROM
Pre-rooted with su and Superuser Permissions by ChainsDD
Insecure boot image (ro.secure=0)
Changelog
Please see 2 posts below this one for the changes in each release.
Installation
To install this ROM:
Download the zip file of your choice from the links below (or the online kitchen) and copy to your SD card
Restart your device in recovery mode
PERFORM A NANDROID BACKUP FROM THE MENU
Select the option to apply an update zip, and select the zip file you copied to your memory card
Upgrading
No wipe is explicitly required in order to use this ROM (you should be particularly safe if coming from a near-stock ROM), however if you do encounter issues of any kind, it is recommended that you wipe your device and reproduce the issue before raising it here.
Downloads
The ROM is packaged for installation via ClockworkMod. The radio / baseband is packaged for installation via either renaming to PC10IMG.zip and copying to SD card then rebooting to bootloader or by 'fastboot flash'ing the radio (both of which will likely require your device to be 'S-OFF / ENG' bootloader).
A MCR will follow soon.
[Edit: It looks like Mediafire are having some issues with redirects atm, if you get a 404, give it a few tries!]

Yeah, you can flash it on top of anything. Usual caveats apply, backup first blah blah etc. etc.

Can you elaborate on the "uncensored" DNS servers? What's wrong with the defaults? Is it easy to revert to the defaults?
Paul, can you clarify if this requires you to be running the last FroYo tmo OTA? Or can this be flashed from a clean wipe? I looked at the file system in the zip, and it looks like a full ROM, but I just flashed the odex'd version and got stuck at the HTC splash. Thanks man.

You can flash this on top of anything, probably without wiping if coming from a near stock build as the actual ota is non wipe.

This may sound silly, but If I were to open up the GAPPS zip you put up here, could I go in and remove items I don't want and have it still flash properly?
It would be nice if someone put up a CWM that only included the Play Market and Talk and whatever else you can't get on the Play Market...just to keep it as simply and small as possible....also eagerly awaiting for someone to post an inverted GAPPS CWM for Jellybean**
Thank you for the stock deodexed AOSP build!

You can do just that... just open the zip file, no need to extract it and search for system/app folder and delete what you do not want to flash.

You're welcome. The only apps in there are facelock, gmail and talk. What is taking space that is not needed are a couple of the video files, sound files and the boot screen. I have a slightly smaller version I use for myself that I can post later today for others who may want to use it.
Thank you...I'll give it a spin tonight...the Gapps are getting real big...I remember back during the Gingerbread days, they were like 10mb or less...now they're hovering at 100mb if not more.

Hello all,
There are many questions asked in the development thread of this respective roms(slimkat by xenon92 and cm11.0 by pawitp). I am creating this thread so that all unrelated to bugs topics can be discussed here.
eg: -how to flash the rom
- about not working apps
- about xposed etc etc.
If you have found a bug please report it with logcat in the dev thread :
here for CM11.0and here for Slimkat
Also if you don't know to logcat i will attach the logcat to the dev thread if you mention it here.
I will be adding detailed guide on flashing these ROM to reduce unwanted questions.
Download mirror
cm11.0 build 20131217
cm11.0 build 20131225
credits naufalhadyan
NOTE :
-Some apps will not work in these roms, the reason is that the respective developer has not made it compatible with 4.4.x.
- The rom is not faulty. The dev must compile it using latest sdk(sdk 19) to run on kitkat running phones like ours.
Kudos to pawitp and xenon92 !
Detailed Guide and some facts
Detailed Guide to Flash CM11.0, Slimkat & Carbon rom :

- Select PDA in odin and select recovery.

STEP 3:

Hello, This happens due to the kernel changes between stock and cm.
If you see in stock there is sdcard and extsdcard. In cm it is under emulated directory.
I also had this problem. I use the below solution
I always
-backup sdcard
-format /sdcard
-upgrade to 4.2.2
-flash cm
Wiping data doesn't always mean wiping internal memory. so you need to go to mounts and storage-->format /sdcard and see if it retains.
else,
you need to
-downgrade
-backup sdcard if you want
-format /sdcard
-upgrade
-flash rom.

I am just curious: will it be a stable version of OmniRom for our Gios?

It already is stable. Enough for a daily driver. I'm using it for three weeks now. Bugs are the same as CM11

what recovery did u use to flash CM10+++?
Any good and up-to-date Gapps package for this? Because the one from BaNkS just gives me a ton of Force Close messages.

These are by far not all settings. You better flash the OMNI rom yourself To see how it works, you'll be stunned
Dear XDA,
I've built CM12 for the E975, F180. Please find the instructions and downloads below. Enjoy!
About this ROM
Unfortunately I do not have time to manually fix the issues by myself, so for now, this is just a preview build of what CM12 is currently.
I might not even have time to flash new builds, so please be cautious.
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any damage, loss, inconvenience caused by this ROM. (Also your warranty will be void)
Instructions
0) Have a working modem if you are on F180
1) Transfer the zips to your internal SD, then enter recovery
2) Wipe /data, /cache, /system ("wipe data & factory reset", "mounts and storage, format /system")
3) Install cm-12-20141118-UNOFFICIAL-e975.zip, you might get a warning about insuccessful mount operation, but that's right, because the partitions are already mounted.
4) Install gapps-lp-20141109-signed.zip
5) Flash SU binaries: UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.16.zip
6) Reboot & have fun!

If you had a working modem before installation, call sound/quality should be fine.
I'm using an F180S (which had CM11 on it before), call quality is great, others could hear me & I can hear others
But for your own good: do a backup before trying
Thank you very much.
Found bug on camera when changing resolution to 4.9mpixel 4:3 ratio. Preview is bad.
Here is screen shot and photo captured by camera.
perfect !!! anything I expected from all of you
Nevermind, was able to fix root with last SuperSU beta
Everything almost working fine here except for the kernel crash on google now
Nice work, really, working fine. ?
Great work. Almost AOSP looks like many CM features are yet to be implemented.

Try this: go to system/vendor/firmware and delete the libpn544_fw.so file and then reboot.

Download link is not working, it shows "You’ve found a page that doesn’t exist!
But don’t fret... here’s a page that does." What can I do?

Link is fine currently, might have been temporarily unavailable.
Has anyone tried this on MultiRom? I used a build in the Sprint forums but was intended for e975 that is CM12. It worked great but did not boot a secondary rom.
EDIT NVM, I see what you mean. The dev page exists, but the download page does not. My apologies.
Under "Public", where say "This folder is read only", click in the arrow button (right of the text), and download all folder... U download 3 zips and gapps, but i don't know other method.
EDIT: Gyebro, other issue is kernel crash when u open YouTube.
