[Q] Sprint LG G2 Data Help

Hi All,
Status:
I managed 1) root the phones 2) copy over the standard "carrier" folder via root explorer 3) recopy the apns-xml file. 4) edit via adb the build.prop file.
With all these I am able to make calls and receive texts on the phone. But for the life, I cannot figure out the data problem.
I double checked my .prop file and have for sure set them to spr.
So my questions is
1) any quick ideas I can try?
2) how can i tell if AT&T or I am the issue
3) is there a custom rom which I can flash and it just "works"
4) is there a good place online where I Can sell these phones aside from craigslist?

Thanks a lot for the reply. I followed your instructions. Since I was using stock 4.4.2, there was some minor adjustments that came up.
0) I flashed stock firmware and via phone notification update to 4.4.2
1) I rooted the phone
6) Done and Done
7) Done ( I also tried via adb shell )
8) I could not manually edit the build.prop file. Each time I did, it would cause a stall on reboot, never gets to boot screen. So I had to do this
via adb I set the settings to spr
9) I use radio checker to set the exact same settings
10) do I need this step for data?

APN isssues
After I tried to add my apn number, i keep getting a com.android.phone process crash? Should i attempt the SQLlite editor change to the settings.db file? I am guessing it is trying to "call" out but it crashes

settings.db file does not have settings
After using SQL and looking at the settings db file in, data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db, I cannot see the assist_dial or assist_dial_init_db_check fields.
Now I am only stuck where the phone crashes when I add an apn?

Very close to the Finish!
After figuring out some crashes, I still see some issues. I feel I am very close! Please help
I am getting an "unable to establish a wireless data connection"
I attach my build.prop file and also some screenshots of my apn settings. These should be the only two I need to configure right?

Samsung DM Manager

It says i do not have permission to access....how would i fix that?

Access what exactly?

Samsung dm manager.....i guess its a secret service menu.but when i try to access it it will not let me

Its samsung's download manager. There's nothing to access for users. It handles among other things updates such as prl and profile. If you were to freeze it you couldn't update those.

Oh ok....i thought it was something else......the menu where you press *#0011# and then Q then 0000....i cant access that menu...is there a way to fix it or what?

Unlock screen

I can't turn off unlocking screen by pattern. I want to change unlocking by swipe but i can't. Somebody know how to change it?

I just go to settings -> display -> lock screen and then i want to change method to unlock but it not change

You can wipe DATA, it will reset the password.
Make LG BACKUP, but move all apps to internal memory, it not work good with apps on SD Card…
And before making LG BACKUP, check if you using latest version of application.
Or like I think more correct will be reflash KDZ, it must fix the firmware error

I suspect that you have some app with Administrator Permission And Change Unlock Code Permission.
In this case wiping data with restoring apps from LG BACKUP and reflashing KDZ will not help, you must delete application which changing the password!
Or simply wipe data and don't restore apps, install all from the new…
So if you using some app like Kaspersky Antivirus or similar or some antitheft app, review settings, and check Device Administrators and refuse this permission for app changing your password

Can't uninstall app

Can someone help, I installed a custom rom and no matter which rom I install I have this app called Mein A1. I originally had no idea what it was because it's in German or something. After further investigation it looks like it has something to do with an Austrian mobile network. I have installed about 5 roms now and it always appears and it does not have the option to uninstall it but just disable. Normally titanium back up will remove anything and that can't even remove it because it says it is unable to find the APK. Please can someone help its driving me insane why it can't be removed.

It sounds like you don't have full root abilities. Given that it is happening on all the roms you have flashed, it's likely you are using the addsu zip too root yes? You need to get the magisk 16.xx applicable flash able zip.

Remove Mi account

Hi there,
I have now unlocked bootloader. Can I now remove Mi account from phone and delete account on https://account.xiaomi.com/ ? After hard reset my phone wanted "login to my Mi account" (device lock). Next hard reset will be without "login to my Mi account" (device lock)?
Do I need aplication like "Bypass Mi Account"? Or this application I needed only if I don´t have login/phone number?

Remove account from the phone, don't from i.mi.com - it may be useful.

I tried freeze "Mi Account" via Titanium Backup and it´s was not good idea. :laugh: Today morning "device locked" ... and without "Mi account" is not posibile resolve this problem. I had twrp backup = solved.
My question is: "How I can totally / forever off this security function"? Xiaomi thank you but I don´t want no security features from you on my phone.

Remove Mi account from the phone, delete device at i.mi.com.

I don't recommend it, Mi account can be useful when phone will be lost or stolen.

Yep - y need remove phone from https://i.mi.com/.
Edit: You can use pure Google's "Find your phone": https://myaccount.google.com/intro/find-your-phone
