I use RR 5.7.4 and I'm on MM Blob. How I go back 6.0 stock firmware and lock the bootloader? (Sorry for my English)

Downgrade to LP bootloader, flash stock recovery, then LP stock ROM (to make sure it's locked, lol), then upgrade using MM stock ROM.

Thanks. Is it true sequence?
1-Lock BL (MM BL will downgrade to L)
2-Flash stock recovery
3-Flash stock ROM (Lollipop)

You could even do it without downgrading bootloader.

Hello everyone. It has been awhile I touched my parent's asus zenfone 2 american version. The model number is Asus_z00AD when I went into the About screen. It is currently rooted running on Android 5.0. The baseband is ww_2.20.40.97_20150917. I forgot the method I used to root it but it is a method that was supposed to let me do OTA without any issue, however there is a system update available that I tried to do but it failed. Since android 6 just released for this phone, is there a way I can start completely over and install android 6? Like restore to stock 5.0 or what not and then do the android 6 update and then root?

Thank you for the link! How do I unroot my asus zenfone 2?
Don't need to worry about it. The first part will get you back to pure stock.

Oh ok, because I read that the OP said to unroot first before doing anything.

No. Why would you want to do that? It won't boot.

Boot.imgs of custom ROMs are modified to work with all the customizations and features of a certain ROM. Maybe wait until hassan makes a Nougat ROM.
