[Q]How to unroot SGG for claiming warranty?

Can anyone guide me how to unroot ? Is it necessary to flash stock recovery before giving service center?

How do I unlock bootloader?

Hi,I want to unlock the bootloader and flash recovery BUT I do not want to use FreeGee(due to me and my OCD) and want to do it manually so I can keep track and know exactly what I'm doing.Thanks all :laugh:

I only know freegee way which is still safest, just use the old version.

I used the new one and I do not have any ROMs downloaded so what now?KDZ updater says extract failed,please HALP!

yes...he has uploaded older version of freegee which works well also try to flash lower version of kdz...E975v10G with kdz uploader.:good:

I couldn't find this question on the forum so yeah. I want to go back to the official firmware of the ace 2 (android 4.1 with touchwiz) from cyanogenmod 10.1 . Sorry if I'm somewhat annoying again ! I'm new to android phones and stuff. Again your help is appreciated

Download stock 4.1 MG2 or MF1 firmware and flash it with Odin

Should be fine if it comes with kernel, system and preload (all firmwares do, AFAIK)

I downloaded the firmware from sammobile. Is it okay if I flash that with odin ? haha I know it's a stupid question

Mk2 doesn't come with kernel2,param and another .md5 file. Dunno why

Kernel2 is useless AFAIK -- it's only in complete reflash packages (GB <-> JB). Probably a backup in case of corruption like Normal2?

+1 on this. ROMs are OK, but not firmware or modems. But if you are trying to downgrade to unlock, you are out of luck. There is no 4.1 modem for the L.

I know with the s4 ( and note 2 i believe) when flashing the update without the boot loader Wifi/Bt/Nfc didn't work. you needed to flash a .zip to fix

I would make a rom of the leak , I was the first one to do it for the sprint s4 when 4.3 was first released and CDMA is harder then gsm but my rom making computer is down : / so I gotta wait

This kit kat it's TW not CM so battery would be different

You can flash it as is but you will be stuck on this and only this build. Reason being it updates your bootloader..
