[Q] T-Mobile Roms or International Roms

I was told the Att Note 2 could use Tmobile Note 2 roms if you just flash the rom and modem in the same sequence....Have anyone tried this??? The guy who told me had Dagr8s rom from our development section running on his Tmobile note 2 and said all he did was flash the tmobile radio ....Thanks in advance if anyone else know about this or have tried it and want to share some info...:good:

Makes me wonder if sprint or international ROMs would work too....

as long as you dont flash there modem and make sure you flash the lte version it does work ..

Sprint has a CDMA network while att and tmobile both have 4g gsm network....the international would be thr biggest difference due to the fm radio and few hardware related differences.

What if the rom flashes the modem in the process of installing the rom...??? do we just flash our att modem in the same sequence???

very simple just flash any international rom u want then flash att supported kernel and modem after then open build prop when booted and just change model to att varient if you want to

Yea I believe we need a kernel as well....I flashed jedi t mobile rom n flashed our kernel and evening worked perfectly.... but I do believe the kernel is required..... correct me if I'm wrong

at first the fm radio app didnt work do I uninstalled it using root explorer and the data didnt work till I entered the correct apns found in the general section

I didn't mess with the modem but im using the stock att one and u have to open build prop and correct the device model or u will get an error. later today il port a few roms and post them

finished porting all files just flashing to make sure everything works and will upload

[ROM]T889V stock rooted-deodexed-knoxfree roms tw 4.3 VVLUCMK4

These are the stock roms from sammobile for Canadian variants. These are rooted, deodexed, knox-free, and has busybox xposed and wanam included. As soon as I can get some mods going I will add them. These do NOT include the new 4.3 modems (coming soon).

I probably know the answer to this already but it's worth a dumb shot. Does this have Wi-Fi calling for T-Mobile? I'm thinking no since it's one of the reason T-Mobile hasn't released yet, since there working on their things.

Each 4.3 release comes with a modem that is compatible with each variant

I just fash the videotron rom but I don't have wifi or data. I think the new modem is required.

I can't try the devil kernel because I have restored my tweaked backup. As soon as you release the modem I will try and confirm.
Again thank you for your hard work.

I have a question. I am coming from Jedi X and I remembered that Jedi changed my CSC files because I am with Virgin/Bell. Would that cause problems if I flash the deodexed Wind (as said by OP will come out 4 December 2013)?
Any input would be appreciated!

+1 on this. ROMs are OK, but not firmware or modems. But if you are trying to downgrade to unlock, you are out of luck. There is no 4.1 modem for the L.

How to Install SM-N9005 custom KitKat ROM on T-mobile/Canadian Note 3!

With Android 4.3, we were able to install a patch and compulsion kernel to get SM-N9005 TouchWiz custom ROMs running fully.
Well, with Android 4.4.2 KitKat, the patch does not work but I tweaked it a bit to make it work.
I tested this on BobCat ROM but should work with all TouchWiz Android 4.4.2 KitKat roms.
Step 1. Install SM-N9005 custom ROM and boot.
Step 2. Install patch and Compulsion kernel:
patch:

download latest KitKat Compulsion kernel here:

Yes, that actually works out of the box, you don't need to do anything. Just install Tmo rom on n9005 should work fine.

Can someone please point me in the direction to flashing a custom recovery on tmobile note 3 please I've looked I don't know of I'm overlooking it

the only kernel you can use with an international rom would be compulsion ultimate. Thas why you get bootloops. as far as nfc it should work fine.

Yeah I used compulsion 12 and it never got passed the boot screen. I tried the stock t-mobile ne6 kernel and it booted up but nfc didn't work. So I flashed the kk nfc fix and it worked but WiFi kept disconnecting.

Repair SDCARD r/w on tw kitkat

Hey all!
This will allow titanium backup and other apps to write to external sdcard. I have used this on the Nordic release of Touchwiz Kitkat. It appears this is an issue with all Samsung kitkat stock roms.
This is not my fix but I did find it
