How to unlock the full internal storage of xperia M - Sony Xperia M

Dear XDA community
I unlocked the bootloader of xperia M(4gb internal), flashed twrp on it and then a cyanogenmod nightly, but when the device boots up, it only shows 2gbs of memory.
when i open the built i file manager it shows 3 partitions
1st-2gb partition where cyanogen and other apps were installed
2nd-2gb partition shown as encrypted which asks for a password if tried to open and
3rd- my SD card
what i wanted to ask was that-Is it possible for me to use the full 4gb of internal space by somehow removing the encrypted partition
Couldyou make it noob friendly please

No,It's not 4GB means 2G system & data and 2GB for user internal storage that is apps that you install, which reachs up to 1.5GB
The rest you get is 500~800MB free internal
4GB-> System and data (2GB)
-> Internal storage (2GB) ->Users apps & data
If you want space try option"Use sdcard1 as internal" from Settings-> Storage & USB also note max., Limit of ext_sdcard is 32GB which is another damn drawback Xperia M

[Q] Did I botch my sd-ext & link2sd?

I'm having trouble getting link2sd to work
As soon as I got my phone & found out how little internal storage there is for games, I read about link2sd. I didn't know that I was supposed to make an extra partition on my SD card. Whoops.
I moved a bunch of apps to the SD card (main FAT partition) and they all still ran, though I was still really short on space on the /Data partition of my internal storage. I guess there's still data & cache being stored in there.
Recently I found out that I was supposed to have made an extra partition, so I added an ext3 partition and a swap partition (both Primary) after my main FAT32 partition. CWM is able to mount the ext3 partition, but FreeSpace does not see it, and S2E doesn't appear to see it either. Link2SD sees it, though, so I figured it was fixed (maybe?).
I was thinking that if I moved some apps from SD back to internal, and to SD again, maybe ALL the associated files would be moved and I'd have more free space. No luck. It takes FOREVER to move an app from SD to internal storage now, and I don't wind up with any extra space when I move them back to the SD again.
Could somebody please help me troubleshoot & correct this mess?
Phone is an AT&T Xperia Play R800at, Android version 2.3.3 if it matters. It's rooted, but no custom ROM.

Lenovo A820

Hello, I've installed rom from cappa72 and do repartition
Repartition
of internal memory of the Lenovo A820 phone has been solved already.
With this action youd intednal SD card will be disappeared and will be added to the /data partition.
Before you do anything, make a CWM backup, and save all your data from internal SD card!
The easiest way is to use this CWM script, if you want to have the maximum available size (2,7GB) for the /data partition.
You have to install it from CWM recovery.
After the installation you need to do a factory reset.
After the factory reset, you have to disable your internal SD card, with CWM script.
And then, you can reboot your phone to check if yo have got the new size of /data partition:
settings --> storage
"internal data storage; full capacity 2,7GB"
"internal SD card; full capacity <your physical SD card capacity"
If the above data appear, you have successfully repartitioned you phone's internal memory!

Now when I installing some others roms they are not working. Only waking up, screens shows lenovo logo and thats all. Is that because I did repartition? How to repair that?

Various: Internal storage single partition, SD CARD EXT4, Recovery for NEWMAN K1

Hi guys,
I reached this thread due no section available for Newman phones.
I purchased a Newman K1 and i have a question (which are almost general questions)
1) I want to put MKV files (big files more than 4 gb) on the SD Card, which is automatically formatted to FAT32 only by android... i need ntfs (but it's not read by android) or ext4 (but the phone doesn't format in ext4). What can i do?
2) I want to merge all internal memory (4gb) in a single partition, and not apps+space, cause i'll use the external SD as the only data+files partition and i want big app single partition for the internal memory, but i dunno how i can repartition.
3) I have Super SU already installed, so the phone should be rooted, however ROM Manager doesn't seem to be able to install the recovery, it says it's already there but says that anyway and anyhow he cannot get supersu access.
4) How do i enter in recovery mode on a newman K1?
Regards

[Q][SOLVED] How to make internal storage not mounted as sdcard

Hi, i am user of this phone for few weeks now, and one thing that annoy me to insanity is that internal storage is mounted as sdcard.
Is there a way to mount real sdcard as sdcard, not as external sdcard? So data partition remain as regural android data partition?
I have 32GB sdcard but internal storage is get filled with just few installed games (witch have it's large obb game files), and when i was buying this phone, size of internal storage was first thing i looked (on my previous phone, small data partition was also so frustrating to me, even with large sdcard)
I updated to .101 firmware (4.3) first day when i bought phone (it came with JB4.1.2), so i don't know is it same on previous firmwares.
My model is c6502, bootloader locked and not rooted. If it fix this problem, i will not mind to unlock bootloader and/or root (i didn't do it so far only because it's time consuming, and by the time i learned how to do it, i had so much stuff installed that i will need even more time to do backup/downgrade/root/upgrade/restore).
I would like to know if other roms (stock or cm-based) also mount internal storage as sdcard? I prefer stock-based, so maybe it can be done only with custom kernel?
Sent from my C6502 using XDA Free mobile app
It took me some time, but i'm marking this as [SOLVED], even i still didn't find complete colution
I manage to mount sd card as internal storage (formated in ext4), but i still didn't find a way to mount data partition as sdcard1
Thanks @Gustavo RD78 for he's Advanced stock kernel for KitKat 10.5.A.0.230 beacuse i couldn't make it myself (and i needed only to edit ramdisk from .img file)

Internal Storage Memory reduced after installing custom ROM

Hi,
I just installed Cyanogenmod 12 into my HTC Desire 816 , for flashing I used TWRP. So the whole proccess was as follows:
1)Install CM via TWRP
2)Reinstall CM and GAAPS
Everything works fine and dandy but I have one big problem. My internal storage only shows 4gb of total space, from which I have only like 1GB of free space available. The phone originally came with 8gb of internal storage, and is just after I did this that it was reduced. I did clean up all the Dalvik cache, I also tried doing a new factory reset, but still it's showing only 4gb.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The phone shows 8 gb but half of that is taken up by the factory OS and empty space allocated for future updates in a seperate partition and the rest is system apps . I actually gained storage space in the partition with the remaining storage after flashing CM so I'm not really sure what's going on with your device but low storage space is just a known issue with this device. Obtain S off thru the Sunshine app ($25) or install a write permission script mod for your particular firmware called a WP_MOD.ko I believe here on XDA and then install Link2SD and get the paid version that allows you to move app data to external SD card then partition the ext SD card using a partition manager exe program on your computer following the Link2SD instructions and you will gain all the extra storage space you will need. I did true S off because I wanted to keep my SE Linux permissions set to enforcing not permissive which the write permission mod does but to each his own.
