LGE AndroidNet Port Instead Of LGE Mobile USB Port? - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was on a custom rom on my LG G3 D852, and I decided to go back to full stock by flashing the .tot file. I used the tool to flash .tot file, then without rooting and flashing twrp, I upgraded to marshmallow by flashing .kdz file. (I forgot that my twrp recovery was gone) When I was on marshmallow I realized I don't have twrp and root, so I wanted to return to 4.4.2 with the .tot file. The problem is, I couldn't, because the pc doesn't recognize my phone as LGE Mobile USB Serial Port (COM xx) except when my phone is booted up. When I boot into download mode, it changes to LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port. I read some threads about people hard bricking their phones, and the port changes, but my phone is perfectly fine. It's impossible to do anything at this point, since I am on MM without root and custom recovery. If anyone could help, that would be greatly appreciated. Also, I attached a screenshot from the device manager program. My phone was turned on when the screenshot was taken.

I too have this same problem. Any answers would be nice

LG G3 not recognized under Device Manager Ports.

Hello, I was trying to go back to stock Kitkat by using the LG flash tool. I ran into a problem where my phone went into Factory Reset Status 2. I'm now trying to follow this guide to completing this. http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/problem-returning-to-stock-try-t2862463
The problem I face now it that my computer won't list the phone under ports. I have downloaded the drivers. (Even re installed a few times) The phone gets listed under "Portable Devices" as LGE Android MTP Device. I need to be able to connect it to COM41 to fix this issue but I'm not sure what to do here. Any help is appreciated.

Should be able to just omit that step. When I used the flash tool mine was not listed under under ports when I did.
Should be listed under that after you change the setting.

Bricked D851 HELP Needed

I have water damaged D851 which now is only showing itself as "LGE Android MTP Device" under Portable Devices in Device manager and also as "LGE Movile USB Serial Port (com3) under PORTS. I don't care so much about the phones as I do the DATA on the phone. Is there any way to copy "data" from the phone onto a PC in current condition? I';ve already tried to reflash the phone via Normal Flash using LF Flash Tool. The flash runs to completion but keeps hanging at the TMOB clingle/splash screen. I don't care how hard it may be?
Thanks in advance:

LG G3 seems bricked, but it's recognized by computer

Hello,
My LG G3 (D855) doesn't turn on and I can't get it to boot to the recovery or download mode. However, when I plug it to my computer (windows), it's recognized as LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port (COM9). Recently, I bought a new battery but I think that's unrelated.
Everything started when I was following the steps described on this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/help/help-secure-boot-error-trying-to-boot-t3054977
When I tried to reboot it, as the post specifies, it stopped turning on at all.
Is there something I can do so it turns on again?
Also, I can't find the tot file of the ROM I was using to try the method described in the link bellow. The ROM was a stock one, D855 20A.

[HARDBRICK] D855; Boarddiag & flashtool not working

I'm fixing a D855 model which I hardbricked by accident. This is what I tried so far but still unsuccessful:
1. I used the method which involved shorting the pins in order for my PC to detect it as Qualcomm USB QDloader (something). I used the BOARDDIAG v2.99c as it's the only version that could detect my phone connected. Newer versions doesn't seem to work. I flashed all the partitions, even the userdata and system (which the tutorial doesn't recommend as it takes very long; it took me more than 12 hrs+). After flashing the sli, which is supposed to be flashed last, my phone boots to kernel panic mode. From this point, my phone can be seen as LGE androidnet port (COM41) (sorry I'm just typing this from memory)
2. From the kernel panic mode, I used the LG flash tool to flash a D855 TOT and a LG8974.dll. However, it still cannot detect my phone model. IMEI and PID still comes out as null. Back to #1, the reason I also flashed userdata and system partition because flash tool still cannot detect my phone. I was hoping to boot it up using the 1st method but it keeps on throwing it to kernel panic mode.
Any suggestions how to revive my LG G3?
hey, i have the same issue, did you find any sulotion?

unable to boot despite flashing multiple OEM KDZ files, soft brick?

I have a LG G3 D855 I've been looking at for about a week now, it wont boot no matter what is flashed onto it. Tried as many guides as I could find but still nothing.
Anyone got any ideas?
Tried Flash tool with KDZ direct from LG, tried installing TWRP but it won't install, tried LG PC suit recovery and nothing. na-da.

Is it recognized in the device manager of your PC? If yes - what does it say?
*When I'm in download mode it shows up as "LGE Mobile USB composite device" under USB controllers.

Actually...it's not what it's showing up as. Under "Universal Serial Bus controllers" it should be listed, but yours is listed as LGE AndroidNet USB serial port(com 41) under "ports". That is looking like a soft brick. I had a similar problem occur when I unplugged a phone while it was flashing/upgrading. You'll need to TOT back to stock since KDZ has failed you. Scroll down to the TOT method... https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
I see you are on com41 - have you already tried TOT? If yes and it fails, what is the error?
*Also, you may need to uninstall any mobile device drivers and reinstall just the LG drivers for things to work right.
