Hello,
I've lost my IMEI after flashing Carbon Rom and it shows unknown in setting. I don't have my EFS backup and I tried many ways to repair it with no luck.
Now I got a backup of my EFS folder with Freegee and I have my m9kefs.img files.
m9kefs1-backup.img
m9kefs2-backup.img
m9kefs3-backup.img
Is there any way to edit these files with Hex editors and inject my IMEI into these files?
Thanks in advance.
No one knows about it??
I think yu jux try flashing another modem....!!

Thanks for your answer in both of my topics... The issue is that I'm in Iran and don't know which modem should I flash! I think this is for Arab ROMs but I couldn't find that modem to flash!
IMEI in Antutu!!!
Can someone please see this screenshot from my Antutu app? When I dial *#06# it shows "null" , in setting IMEI is Unknown and in Antutu IMEI shows like attached picture! What is it and how to fix?! I'm tired of this issue that several months I'm working on it!!!

Hi guys,
Being the arrogant bigheaded know-it-all that I am I thought I could do this by myself. Alas I was wrong.
I was attempting to carrier unlock my s4 mini (i9195) on EE, I rooted it first which was a success. I then tried the "regionlockaway" approach which claimed to be a success but after several reboots was not =[
I then delved deeper into the forums and read that it may work if i were to odin flash my device to MJ7.
I followed the steps of un checking the auto-reboot and F. reset boxs and proceded to put phone into "odin mode" and then Flash, disconnect, power off, boot back into odin mode, reflash and then boot normally.
This went horribly wrong. my poor little phone is very confused. it doesn't know its baseband and is displaying IMEI null.
I have done some further research and all post seem to say I must reflash to original ROM or inject IMEI?
I cannot find the required ROM files and IMEI injection, unless as simple as "download file x, insert IMEI from phone sticker into box x, flash with program x and all will be fine" then I am stuck in a lonely phoneless place.
PLEASE HELP ME! and i promise I wont try these things again!
Thanks in advance guys!
Not an expert at trying to restore IMEIs but maybe try flashing the latest unbranded firmware ... Though the download is slooow but it's worth a shot http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/48645/I9195XXUCOD3_I9195BTUCOD1_BTU/
Also just for the future your best to save EFS folder from your phones root. Also developer Wanam does a partition backup tool which will allow you to backup and restore your EFS.

I have make *#268# and in the engineer mode, calibrations statut, all it's -1.
In nv parameters, just calibration NV Backup file manual check failed. All is succeded.
go back to oppo forums or goolge and look for their unbrick tool. it should be a program with chinese characters. if you know what you are doing then connect wait and reboot. the rom installed should be a stock version of color os. if for any reason you are having issues with storage or connectivity try these steps. try re partitioning the device. if you can not do this try downloading an update 2.x.x ( side load it if you cant access storage or copy and paste to root of phone storage ) when you flash this itll give you the newer recovery with the option to merge the partition or not. at this step i would suggest doing a partition switch so sd card wont be an issue again. now as far as connectivity goes download coloros_modem_2.1.5i.zip you maybe able to find it via crdroid thread. flash via recovery right after rom before gapps, you should be functioning again
granted these steps helped me for my x9070

Hello. I still have the same issue and unfortunately no backup of the NV partition.
I would be so happy if someone can send me a backup of the NV partition.
You can change the IMEI with an HEX-Editor to 999999999 for example before you send me your backup.
I am not interested in using your IMEI. I just want my phone working again. Thank you very much.

Can you send us a link to your QCN file?I really need it to fix unknown baseband, and sometimes my Mac address is 02:00:00:00:00 ,and sim cards rarely work. I will not use your imei,i will change it to one that's written on my box. You can overwrite it with zero's also.

Tell me exactly what happened to your phone. QCN will not solve your problem. If you use single SIM slot, there is a workaround and you can't use SIM1 and you can't use TF card slot, because SIM2 and TF card slot share slot.

I bought it second hand, with original box and working IMEI. Sometimes it has valid Mac address, and IMEI,but randomly (sometimes after restart) Mac address becomes 02:00:00:00 and IMEI is 0.Also when WiFi is working, after i switch it off,it won't turn on anymore(the switch is coming back to off state).I can post a link with screenshots and videos describing the issue.I tried flashing fastboot global ROM,but problem persisted. Also, baseband version is unkown.I think that EFS partition is corrupted, and i hope to fix it by flashing someone's working QCN file, while replacing both IMEIs with ones that came on the box.
Thank you for responding, and sorry for bad English.

EFS partitions seems to be corrupted. Restoring QCN will not help. You need to find original EFS and restore.
If you can't find original EFS, you may try this but it may not solve your problems:
1) Backup current EFS partitions
2) Backup QCN with QPST
3) Change IMEI 1 as 0 inside QCN file, IMEI 2 as original IMEI 2
4) Erase EFS partitions
5) Reset phone to factory defaults
6) Check if IMEI is null
7) Restore modified QCN with QPST
8) Reboot phone
9) Check IMEI numbers
10) Check baseband
11) Use SIM 2 slot, don't use SIM 1 slot
I hope this will help

No,i tried everything besides restoring EFS and doing a EDL flash. I haven't found anyone who could send me their valid EFS backup, but I don't think this will solve the issue as it didn't on @DoYouWantFriesWithThat phone.I went to some local phone repair shops and they said that they're 90% sure it's a hardware issue. One thing i noticed is that it works a lot better on MIUI Global 10.0.1.0(OEDMIFH) than any other ROM,but it's just my observation. Ill try tonight to heat it's sgl around 80-90 degrees Celsius and see if it makes a difference (the guy at repair shop recommend it to me).

@ghost baby by the way, i did try doing a EDL flash, and that didn't fix anything. I think EDL flash doesn't touch EFS partition so it is still corrupt. For me restoring a EFS partition is the only alternative left.

I done Exactly all Steps.Modified a QCN BAckup from Friends Phone via Hex-Edit and Imei Calculator....
Also i tryed Flashing NON-HLOS.Bin and persist.img....
Tryed with EFS Backup from Same phone from a friend....
And flashing original China and Global ROM...i really tryed all what i found in Google....
QPST helped me to get my IMEI and Baseband back.
But Sim was not working.I tryed much hours all things.... i sended it back .they tryed it with EDL-Mode Flashing and nothing happend.
It endet that the Device is shipped to China (guarantee)....
I lost my Baseband and Imei after flashing Custom Kernel .And went back to normal Kernel....then the problem was still Present.
I tried heating it's motherboard with hair dryer and it haven't worked. I think that persist and NON-HLOS.bin are flashed using fastboot rom. It seems like hardware issue, and I'll be selling my phone for replacement parts. I don't have more energy and time to spend on this crap.
For all of you having issues,i fixed it. I removed it's motherboard completely(also i removed cameras and front flash rubber),and put it on aluminum foil and left it in the 200° heated baking oven for exactly 8:30 minutes. And after that, turned heating off and left oven opened and board in there to allow it to cool down about 40 minutes. After booting ,the phone connection worked and allowed me to OTA update from Global Stable 10.3.5.0 PEDMIXM to Global Stable 11.0.6 PEDMIXM that just came out.
I think that the heating fixed the problem, and i advise you to it as last resort,as it may leave your motherboard unusable.
First try to flash global stable 10.3.5.0 and update it to the latest version, and please tell me your result so i can indentify what the problem was.
Thanks for your support so far.sglg

I'm going to try your method as my last resort. Will update. Keep your fingers crossed
Do you have a Xiaomi service center nearby? This happened to me last time and they just factory flashed my phone so it was like the first time it came out of the box. Luckily had my warranty still at that point. Else, it would have been around $35. They didn't mind that the phone is rooted and whatnot.
If anyone find how to fix dual imei then please reply ...i bricked my phone by installing boot logo of corvus rom in miui then i repair my phone with sp flash tool but unfortunately i click on format-all+download
Then my phones bootloader got lock, imei lost, wifi mac address lost, Bluetooth address lost but i repair all except imei 1,imei 2 means sim 2 work after writing imei in miui meta tool but sim 1 is not fixed even if we write sim 1 imei in miui meta tool we got nvdata error in official miui and also not worked in engineering rom..so at all please if someone fixed or know how to fix please reply...
You can fix imei 2 using meta maui.you have lots of videos that show you how to do it. I had the same problem.now imei 1 is null(not working) but imei 2 is ok.the only way for us to fix them both is to get a twrp backup from a working phone of the files nvdata, nvram, nvcfg, persist, protect_s,protect_f. Then restore them and change both imei.

you flash eng. rom. then got to fastboot, delete nvram, nvdata. using meta maui you can put ONLY imei2 (press write about 5 times then wait 1 minute before disconecting maui..) start the phone and check if imei 2 is working. at this part you can even flash twrp and make backup of files to use them later. the important thing is while being on eng rom, to make imei 2 working and showng active. then flash stock rom, avoid flashing stock nvdata. right after flashing, enter fastboot and flash backup nvdata. if it wont allow you to flash nvram(check if its from a rn8p phone) then flash twrp, mount nvram, nvdata, nvcfg and flash the backups from there.there are lots of combinations.
