I have a problem after I installed the rom G925TUVS4EPH2 and had no signal. Checking the equipment I noticed that the ServiceMode option was empty ... there is some way to repair that, thanks for the help.

Let me guess...
You've discovered some hidden menus recently by typing codes in the dialer and find out this one: *#*#4636#*#* that open a "Testing" screen showing options like this:
Phone Information
Battery Information
Usage Statistics
Wi-Fi Information
Then you went to Phone Information
Tried some options (maybe played with SMSC:_________Update / Refresh ) but that was not doing anything so you exited the menu.....
after a while you wanted to send a text or someone was asking you "Did you got my text?" and you didn't....
Here's what hapened: Accidentaly you erased from your phone the "Messaging Center Number" wich is responsible for giving your phone the access to the SMS/MMS central of your provider.....resulting in loosing the ability to send/receive messages.
Don't worry, after having navigated XDA Forums I finally found my way to make it work again (yes that's because I did it that I now now it).
By the way, even if you Factory reset, flash a new rom/radio/kernel that mistake is gonna stay. You need to enter the number again.
in the *#*#4636#*#* hidden menu,
scroll down to "SMSC:"
in the box type: 0791715097960300
press the "Update" / "Mettre à Jour" (first button)
Now exit and Reboot the phone.
To test it, don't try to resend an old test message as it contain old message center number. I even suggest to delete previous text messages from your inbox if possible.
If it worked, everything should be fine by now. (you can even kudo me for this loll)
NOTE:
The real Roger Center number is +17057969300
the thing is that it need to be Encrypted in Hexadecimal PDU format.
(user MarcusVanSciver on XDA shown that link in thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1412261)
That was for Orange Network (european have 8 number to phone number instead of 7 so I had to add a 0 at the end to make it work for Rogers)
after Encryption the number was now: 0791715097960300
This worked for ROGERS, the trick could maybe work for other networks but I can not validate the info. (but for sure this will not be the same number)
This had been tested with stock rom and Custom Rom With Custom Radio and Custom Kernel.
If this helped you, please give credit to this post ;-)

Easier way to do it without mucking around looking for your SMSC. It's how I got mine up and going again!

Hey man, this might be a bit old for you but i just got a galaxy nexus. I am having the outgoing text issue. I've tried that number and everytime i hit update it just says update error. Think you mightbe able to help me?
Damn this doesn't work for me
To program the SMSC (Text Messaging) number on Android devices, please follow these steps:
Go to the phone application.
From the phone application, press *#*#4636#*#*. (You will have to press the Call or Send button after entering this code in for some Android devices).
Tap on Phone Information
Scroll to the bottom to where it says SMSC and enter this number exactly as you see on this page (including all symbols): +17057969300
Press Update.
Hi!
Problems:
1) Serial is 000000000000000, although IMEI and IMEI/SV is ok.
2) Out of service network state, although network is detectable.
Solution:
Ariza Patch.
I know I've given the solution, but everytime I have to reinstall a ROM I have to do this over and over again which bothers me, besides having a serial number is better than 000000000.
The thing that caused this was a google app named swapper. I believe it stored the swap file on the partition of the EFS.
The phone's EFS was fixed by some technician, but unfortunately the serial was not.
No, I do not have a backup of EFS to restore. I only figured that out after this happened.
Other apps used to diagnose:
Check FUS - it says on "Product Code" as "Not Active"
CSC Select - played with a bunch of CSC codes to change, still no luck.
Galaxsim - shows my real serial number but phone is already unlocked.
Any suggestions would really be helpful aside from sending it back to Samsung Service Center and restoring a backed up EFS which I apparently don't have.
Thank you!
Ive this problem too

Hi,
I had an OTA update from 4.2.2 to 4.3 and some days after that, when I was using google maps while on roaming network, my phone stopped getting signal from carrier. Since then, I have followed many posts on xda and did these things using NRT (Nexus Root Toolkit):-
1. Unlock
2. Flash + Unroot
But, after doing all these, my phone still does not get the signal. The current problem (I'm not a very technical person):-
1. About Phone --> Status (copying only those properties which might be relevant):-
Network: Unknown
Signal strenght: 0 dBm 99asu
Mobile network type: UNKNOWN:0
Service state: Out of service or Radio Off (this keeps on toggling every few seconds)
IMEI: UNKNOWN
IMEI SV: UNKNOWN
Serial Number: <some number>
2. Phone info available in *#*#4636#*#*:-
Set preferred network type: Unknown
Turn On Radio or Turn Off Radio (This keeps toggling every few seconds)
Actually, after reading so many posts on xda, I can conclude that the efs partition is lost. If I'm goig in the right direction to pin point the problem, please let me know where I can download EFS and change it to point it to my Phone's IMEI.
Will the above step solve this problem ?
Any help is much appreciated.

If you have a Nandroid Backup, just restore it. Ur signal will be back.
If ur EFS is gone, U'll have to do one more step. This thread might help you. I had the same problem (IMEI lost) and fixed my phone by doing this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47045295&postcount=6

Actually, I don't have a Nandroid backup.
And, the steps mentioned in the link you provided also do Not tell about how to fix an unknown IMEI
PS: I dont have a generic IMEI now. My IMEI as seen from *#06# is empty. *#06# shows IMEI (but no IMEI number next to it) and then an OK button.
I entered *#*#4636#*#* and select phone info but warning "not available" so I cant change modem settings or lte. What is the problem ? I am sorry bad english.Ls990 fulmics 5.3
It is disabled for fulmics. But if you want to change your network settings then it is still in
Settings>mobile data>mobile network>network mode
All settings like as lte and others are given there.
I hope this may help. If not then you can still ask
hey guyz I am also facing the same problem, whenever I open 4636 menu and select phone info i get the error "this application does not work on this device".
I want to activate volte provisional flag but due to this I am not able to do.
Please help and thanks in advance
Hello all
I'm using a Redmi Note 8 pro with the latest Android 10 update.
I was having network issues so I entered into test mode and just ran ping test a couple of times.
Then the page said that in order to change the settings you must reboot and I did. After that my phone stopped showing the second SIM card.
I went to test mode again but phone information 2 was missing.
I checked my IMEI number from the dialer by entering *#06#
I can see only one IMEI number being displayed, the IMEI number of the second SIM slot is missing.
I tried to input it manually using MTK Enginner mode but the CDS information option under connectivity settings is missing.
I've not rooted the phone or ever unlocked the bootloader
Below are a few screenshots.
I'm in a very terrible condition as service centres near me are all closed due to Covid 19 lockdown
Can anyone help me out regarding this problem and tell me a fix ???

Testing mode settings : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HsTb7fsyPCWLr2C4eeVwhp1ya811a32t/view?usp=drivesdk
A factory data reset did the job and the phone now shows both SIM cards.
Everything running perfect now
