Download MTK engineering mode from google play and choose mtk settings. Swipe to hardware testing and click de-sense, choose PLLs. MMPLL is your gpu and ARMPLL is your cpu. It seems that only gpu overclock works. Click MMPLL and set it to 518000(that's 518000khz = 518mhz). That's as high as you can go without crashing the phone. There's a 10-15 fps increase in games/emulators.

what is CPU usage on developer option there is a box you can check as well as GPU renderingcan anyone explain this. Should i check the box, does GPU RENDERING (USE 2D HARDWARE ACCELERETION IN APPLICATIONS) will make my phone faster?
i'll be honest everyone in this forum says to enable 2D rendering and it makes the phone smoother. but i find the exact opposite. when i enable 2D, apps get very choppy for me. system panel for example is super smooth, but enable 2d and it scrolls choppy. same result for every app i try.
what it meant to disable CPU rendering? can you still control cpu or equal nice app
"Rendering" is the process of graphically constructing the display. Rendering can be performed by the CPU or the GPU.
CPU Rendering means having the CPU draw things on the screen. It's slower (since at the same time CPU has to handle *everything*), but uses less power.
GPU Rendering is faster, much faster in some cases, but uses more power.
Disabling CPU Rendering means forcing everything to use GPU Rendering instead. It has no effect on the ability to set CPU Frequency and/or governor.

Hello guys. What happens to the CPU when I select the performance mode? I want to automate the switching of modes when running certain apps. I put the maximum frequency of the CPU and the Governor - performance ... but FPS games has not changed. And if you choose a mode of performance in the application, the FPS becomes much higher. Sorry for my english, i from Russia. I am hope for your help.
Best Regards
Hello, this tablet can play some 720p HEVC video without any problem, but when it comes to higher resolution as 1080p there is some lag etc...
i rooted the device, installed xposed, custome kernel etc, i was now able to see the frequency, and i noticed that if the cpu frequency go below 1800 mhz, the hevc video lag, so i think this device can play hevc well if the frequency stop moving like this...
The problem is that even if i'm using performance governor, the frequency is still moving from 2 ghz to 1.2, is there any way to make the cpu frequency fix ? thx
PS: sorry for my english
Use a custom kernel with O/C support and set the cores to max.
How do i force my game(bgmi) to use gpu instead of cpu.
I am trying to unlock 90 fps. Somehow unlocked using adb shell to force game to use min refresh rate of 90 but its reverting back to below 60 frames when i start a match.
Also i noticed game uses my CPU upto 100% and GPU only 7-8% ?
why?
What is the use of adreno 660 then?
can anyone help or explain me this?
