Hello, I am currently using vanilla root box, which is an amazing ROK, which has been my daily driver for quite some time. Manuel, the amazing developer of this ROM for our phone has recently added spen gestures as one of the settings. I was wondering if there was any way to set one of them to take a screenshot. Thank you for your assistance!

Does anyone know what I am talking about?

There is no way to do that as of yet.
Use vol down + the power button for screen shots.

I'd like to disable the hand-touchscreen when I'm using the s-pen.
Is it possibile?
P.S.: I'm rooted
I also wanted to do this (make the handwriting pad default) and was told my Samsung customer support that it was not possible.
good feature

Yeah, I was just thinking about this yesterday.it would be nice if there was a Google in the notifications panel where we can just disable touch control totally and just let the pen do the job.it will be excellent for sketching.

Do you have pointer option in SPen settings turned on? When it's on and S Pen is close to screen(when you can see the pointer) hand control is turned off.

It's not enought for me. I don't want hand touch disabled only when S-Pen is near the screen, I want hand touch disabled even when S-Pen is far, so I can use Note as more similar than a real paper sheet.

S Notes and Ez pdf (several other apps do this as well) both have palm rejection which it basically what you want. Your hand will only work at the very top edge and bottom edge of the screen. You cannot enable this on the system as a whole though.

If a mod like this comes out, i would be a huge update for the note 3 and 10.1 - looking for this since a while...

use GMD S Pen control. It has a gesture that disables finger input system wide though I map my Own gesture to the action. This even disables the capacitive buttons until you re-enable touch. CHEERS

I set gestures multiple times to ensure recognition. When using gmd gesture control I have tusker set to pause the gestures when I remove the spen so. they don't interfere with it. I'll make a thread on my setup

This seems the solution I was looking for. This evening I'll try it, thank you!

I can't find the command you've used. Where is it?

when selecting the action to configure to a gesture select actions: Samsung Note actions: Disable touch input

Strange your ROM must not support it. I am running the ML1 and it's there so you should flash that. I also had it on the American MK1 SO You Could try that or Clean Rom as well.

I picked up a cloned Galaxy Note 3 For 375.00, then found out it was a fake and got another one from T-mobile. I found that the clone had full gesture control over everything that allowed you to swipe, (turn a page). The T-mobile Note only let's you use gestures with certain programs like email and the gallery. Is there any way to enable global gesture control on the T-mobile Note? The clone also has the screen sensor global, which let's me hover over the edge of a web page and scroll the screen up and down without coming into physical contact with the phone. I can also hover over the back button and menu button. Is there a custom ROM or setting that globalized those sensors?

If the clone was so awesome why give it up?
Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
I didn't say that...it's missing a lot of features, too! No GPS, no eye tracking, very little development, no 4G lte, etc. I'm selling it as a clone on CL for 250.00.

How is the fingerprint sensor supposed to work with multiple users? I would assume you can just touch a registered finger and it would find the user but it seems you have to first select the user from the lock screen
Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Yes, this is correct behavior. I added a guest account to test this. If you want this feature, I recommend that you suggest it to the AOSP Issue Tracker.

So, everytime I get a notification I hear the sound, but the screen doesn't wake up. Any solution to this?
Check your settings in Security & Location > Lock screen Preferences > On lock screen.
Sent from my Mi A2 Lite using Tapatalk
There's nothing there that looks even similar to my problem solution.
Well if you had chosen Don't show notifications they won't light up the screen. Do you use DND mode?
Sent from my Mi A2 Lite using Tapatalk
I don't use DND mode, I hear all sounds.
And it's selected: Show all notifications.
Check if Display > Ambient Display is on
Sent from my Mi A2 Lite using Tapatalk
It's off.
It has to be on of you want a screen wake up.
Sent from my Mi A2 Lite using Tapatalk
But then I get those silly looking notifications, not classic stock android notifications.
I turned that off and indeed my screen won't wake up so AFAIK Ambient Display is a necessity. Deal with it or try Glipmse Notifications.
Sent from my Mi A2 Lite using Tapatalk
Do I have to be rooted for Glimpse Notifications?
I don't know, I don't need to use it. It will be in the app's description. But I know it's helpful when you need to customize how and when you want your notifications.
Sent from my Mi A2 Lite using Tapatalk
OK, thanks, I will try it. I don't know if it's something about my device or something, but some notifications I don't get at all, until I open the app and see it. Like Skype for example.
I have this issue too, for e.g.: I don't get notifications from Tapatalk unless I unlock the phone or from McDonald's unless I open the app but frankly I don't mind as long email app works ok

Can you check this out and tell me if this situation is the same on your phone:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79077027&postcount=6
Well I have battery optimisation for every app I could turn this on so I guess it might be it. Nevertheless I really don't care about the notifications. When I need the app I open an app and that's it.

I meant the situation on the link I pasted there
I was referring to that.
