Hi @ll,
Does anyone know if 4K Video recording works on the CM13 Roms release for these MiMax devices?
4k Video Recorded IS supported in CM13 on MiMax
For anyone who wondered it is supported.
nijel8 wrote this in the Unofficial CM13 Thread:
"With stock camera app none of the video recording works... No sound... But with Open Camera all even 4K resolution works just fine.
Video playback is fixed for CM player in latest CM13 release.
A2DP works with VLC media player but not with CM player."
Cheers
Miui can take 4k video.
Hello,
I wanted to know what is the highest resolution supported in Youtube app on this device, on stock ROM.
For example, on my device(SM-P601) I'm using Lineage OS 14.1 and my maximum is 1080p60. I think I was able to select 1440p60 on stock ROM but I'm not sure, so needed to confirm.
Can you please post what is the highest resolution you can select in Youtube app (if you're using stock ROM) ?
And also your device name(like SM-P601).
Thanks.
EDIT - Nevermind, I got the answer.
SM-P601 only supports upto 1440p30 videos on Youtube app(I'm not sure about Snapdragon ones). As Youtube doesn't provide separate 30fps option for 60fps videos 720p and above, this means:
* Highest resolution available for 60fps 2K/4K videos is 1080p60
* Highest resolution available for 30fps 2K/4K videos is 1440p (2K, works as intended)
Hey community,
does anyone know how to enable 4k recording? Is it even possible? I have the latest firmware, Google camera, resurrection remix OS.
There is a working technique for MIUI, does the same thing exist for stock android as well?
Thanks for your replies

Try Open Camera from playstore. It supports 4k recording.
install xiaomi.eu
For the China version you need MIUI and make some adjustments in build.prop to get 4k recording. However it is without stabilization.
If you use stock android, 4k doesn't appear but other weird resolutions appear in Open camera. If you force 4k in open camera it will crash.
Hello, like it says in the topic, is there any way to bring back 1080p 60fps recording or 1080p 30fps with EIS? I only managed to bring back Slow Motion recording by installing some module for OnePlus 6T. Using Gcam from OpenGapps package.
Hi, as you guys should know, the S5 Mini stock can play video at 720p 60fps and 1080p 30fps with no problem, now at 1080p 60fps it struggles a lot, seems like the hardware cant handle it
I dont want to lose my time making a backup data and flashing a custom rom just for testing
So if someone has an overclocked kernel already installed please tell me if you're able to play video at 1080p 60fps smoothly, thanks.
Why would you want that? Screen is 720p. And what kind of playback do you mean? Youtube or mp4?
Kernels cant double the performance or so, dont expect roms to run faster than stock...
