Hey im using a d855. Recently i was on on CM 13 and my phone got in a bootloop. I then tried to flash different roms from TWRP, tried to clear dalvik and cache but failed. Because every time i tried doing that TWRP was unable to mount cache/system etc and couldnt wipe anything. Then I decided to go back to stock. I used the TOT method. While the installation was going on in the LG flash tool it got stuck about 30-40 percent and a fail message popped up. It was because my phone randomly just shut off in the middle of the installation. So, i tried to do it all over again, but this time i cant even get into the download mode. When i hold down the volume up button and plug in the USB the phone goes directly to the LG screen and then goes into the "Firmware Update" screen. I tried to install the stock rom in this state, but this tie the installer stops at 5 percent and an error saying "cant get into download mode" pops up.
Now, theres no twrp, when i try to get into recovery it goes straight back to the firmware update screen. Turning the phone on normally also has the same result. I am using a USB 2.0 .
What should I do? Is there any way to save this thing? Or should I call it quits and declare it dead?
TIA
use LG mobile support tool - put into download mode, now DON'T click start upgrade - Rather goto options then click update recovery - this will write slowly the complete firmware back to phone to fix corrupted files etc - will take 57+ mins and may seem stuck from 0% to 22%, it's not just wait it out . 1 hour + to fix.

I have the Galaxy Note II with T-Mobile.
Some background: It was running Android 4.1.2. I rooted my phone once, about two weeks ago, just so I could take an image of it in case of an update issue. (I think the software was called nandroid.) Once I took the backup, I unrooted it again.
Since then, doing the Software Update check under settings never returned any results. It would just keep checking until I clicked cancel.
Anyway, when T-Mobile released the 4.3 update Monday morning, I tried updating to it using the Kies software on my PC (by connecting it through the USB cable). It got up to about 60% installation and then just hung for over an hour. So I unplugged the phone, re-plugged it back in, and then attempted the emergency firmware recovery through Kies. It went through this and got upto 76% installation and then just hung again for another hour. I again unplugged it to re-try the emergency recovery again, but every time I connected the phone, Kies would not detect it again. I re-seated the battery, rebooted my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled Kies, but Kies would not detect my phone again.
I am/was running the stock rom, but my phone won't even boot into it's normal screen. Any time I turn it again, i see the screen--"there were errors during firmware upgrade. try emergency recovery in Kies."
I can't even figure out a way to get to a screen where I can install the image I took using Nandroid a few weeks ago.
Any help or advice anyone can provide would be extremely appreciated!
Use Odin to fix it.
If you can put your phone into download mode then it should be 'saveable' ..

I am able to put it into download mode. When I follow the instructions I found for Odin, the process seems to go smoothly. However, once my phone reboots, it stays on the "Samsung Galaxy Note II" screen (with the black background). I've left it like that for over 30 minutes, and it just stays on that screen.
Should there be another step I should be following?

Try installing SuperSU from Playstore
It has an option of doing a FULL UNROOT
I am sure that will help.
If not then install Rom Manager from PS
Through RomManager reboot in Recovery
1.) Wipe device 3x times
2.) Wipe cache 3x times
3.) Under advance you will Find Dalvik Cache -- wipe that 3x times

But more importantly why would you want 4.3 stock anyway?
Install TWRP Recovery or ClockWorkMod recovery and install/Flash CM1 (Cyagonemod) or any other custom roms 4.4.x kitkat
Nothing is really working for me.
I can't boot into normal mode. I am able to get into "download" mode, but whenever I try to load an image using the Odin software (both a stock image and a Cyagonemod image), it starts to load the image, but just hangs a certain percent of the way through.
I also can't get to that screen where it gives you the text based options to wipe your device, cache, etc.
I've tried loading both TWRP recovery and ClockWorkMod recovery (through Odin), and though it seems to load properly (Odin says "Pass"), when the phone reboots, it goes to the "Samsumg Galaxy Note II" screen (the one with white text on a black background), and just stays there.
I've gotten T-Mobile to agree to send me a new phone. But if I can't get into any of the items I mention above, how can I make sure my old device is wiped before sending it back to them?
Just do this un root with chain fire root away app.
Then use triangle away app.
Then find 4.1.2 MB1 stock Odin tar. The complete package .
Odin to stock .
Reboot and then update via Ota.
You have to un root first and also have to triangle away which removes flash counter in Odin.
System modified status will not allow Ota.
That's the best suggestion I have

have you tried booting into recovery? after you load the custom recovery with odin and it reboots, pull the battery put it back, then hold vol up + home and then + power. hold all 3 until recovery. try a factory reset and reboot.

I have. It brings me to the same screen with the Samsung Galaxy Note II text on the black background and just stays there.
So, in summary, I can get into download mode (vol down+home+power), but it seems nothing else.
Try factory settings the phone through stock recovery and then check your phone status. It should say 'normal' but if it says 'modified,' download Triangle away and run the tracking setting (it'll make your phone say normal so you can download the OTA). Given you're on tmobile and your phone is the T889 model, check for software updates and install the OTA. Your phone will take a bit and will probably be stuck on the T-Mobile 4G boot screen for several minutes (it's normal). This should work.
So I was stuck in a similar mode (recovery download mode) yesterday, it only show Android robot with spinning gear on his back and a scrolling progress bar. I turn it off (Power + Vol Up) and then no matter what I do, just power or power + vol down all just go back to that damn robot.. Fastboot, adb won't work.. It show up on the computer as HTC Android Phone USB Device in the DVD/CD drives
It refuse to get out of that for hours.. I finally give up and I leave it running and walked away.. somehow when I got back (around 2 hours later) it is booted back to normal and asking for new setup. So I thought is working. So after messing up the initial setup, I when and try to factory reset it this morning.. and again it goes back into a similar mode, but this time it have the word Erasing under it. However this time it won't leave the mode even for 3 hours +. Anyone know how to get it out of that mode and maybe interact with Fastboot or Recovery or bootloader or something
When it is working... I could into booloader and stuff. The phone has been modded to play edition, S-off and bootloader unlocked...
However whenever that happen, if the phone is off but plug into a computer, it show up as QHS_USB_BULK. and then usually turn on and get stuck on that robot again... Also if I just keep pushing up an then power it will say formatting and then backup recovery log and then all the spinning gear and progress bar just stop
I don't get this thing. Please help
So I managed somehow to kick it out again (after waiting for a long time).. but wanted to convert the GPE back to original. Was following this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2733523 but before I could go back into TWRP to load the new rom, I accidentally hit factory reset and it got stuck in the HTC version of that same screen. This time it have one extra line Backup CW Package.
Again can't get into the bootloader.. just stuck on this boot loop.. god damn..
Here is how it looks like

I flashed the stock firmware onto my phone, and all was going well until it turned itself off. It then rebooted into Download Mode, and got itself stuck on 'Firmware Update'. I pulled the battery, rebooted and it went from the LG logo straight to the Firmware Update screen. I've tried going into recovery (which works, but pressing yes OR no still takes it to Firmware update. Going into download mode doesn't work either.
I tried to re-flash it using the LGFlashTool, but my PC can't find the phone in this state. I bought it off a guy on eBay 4 months ago, and it worked fine until the first sentence of this post happened.
EDIT: it's the international D855. The Firmware Update screen says '910K B0 QEM'

Thats not actually right
Booting into recovery normally should factory reset the phone. Would you be able to post a picture of the firmware update screen

I tried it then. When I do it, I get the normal 'No (Exit)' and 'Yes' and then the same thing to confirm it. It then goes to the LG logo, and boom! Firmware Update!
I don't have a camera (stupid, I know) but, if you boot into download mode, it looks just like the screen there. Except it shows '910K B(0-99) QEM' in the update box thingo.
Hi, i have the exactly same problem, even if i try to power up the device normally or in download more it goes directly in to firmware update. Any way to fix it or install LGE MTP Driver so my PC will see my phone in order to flash it again?
LE: Video
I have run into the same problem like you guys. I recently updated my phone and it started to malfunction with resets, crashing and eventually got it stuck in boot loop. Then it booted into a green screen that said "demigod crash handler/tz crash" thrice. Instead of a hard reset I decided to using the lg mobile support tool to fix it. During the upgrade recovery my phone went into download mode/firmware update. I could see the progress bar moving and then get stuck and my mobile would switch off. Took out the battery, disconnected and reconnected the phone and tried the process all over again but in vain. I repeated this at least 8 times and eventually gave up. Now my phone is basically useless and only boots into firmware update. Hard reset doesn't work either. Can somebody please help me fix this?
I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM :crying:
910k b0 qem
I tried to flash TOT file and it kept failing around 10%. I read somewhere that I should select the "Flash Board" option so I did. This also failed and left my phone booting to "Firmware Update" screen with following text in the gray box at the bottom.
910K B0 QEM
Windows no longer recognizes the devices and fails to install drivers.
I believe that what is required here is the "910K resistor flash cable"
Something like this ebay[dot]com/itm/OCTOPUS-Z3X-MICRO-USB-LG-P970-P990-P999-CABLE-56K-130K-910K-VARIABLE-RESISTOR-/131321398015
Can someone confirm or offer a solution?
P.S. This 10 post URL limit has got to go!

It is possible you flashed the wrong KDZ or TOT file
You can also try to hold the power button and wait untill the LG logo appears
anyone have any luck? Im stuck in this mode also
I have a sprint note 4 running kitkat.
rooted some tweaks installed. anyway phone has bee getting unstable lately and blutetooth for calling is dead. streaming music works but anytime I try to use bluetooth for calls it immediately disconnect phone bluetooth when I make or recieve a call and then reconnect when I end the call (WTF right??)
anyway finally broke down and figured factor data wipe time. reinstall clean.
so I backup all my stuff take screenies of anything I think I will need to remember etc.. move all data from internal to external storage etc..
I go into settings and click reset device.
it reboots says warranty bit recovery set and then nothing. black screen. intermittantly I can see the open chested android graphic with "install system update" flash on the screen for a split second. this repeats forever.
after 10 minutes of this I pull the battery try to start same thing.
I tried holding vol up home power for a manual hard reset
exact same thing. I seem to be able to boot into download mode but not recovery mode.
suggestions?
EDIT :
I see in another thread you updated to 5.1.1.
yeah that is what I ended up doing except I said screw it and just went to lollipop. working on setting it up now (it booted fine)
trying to install the stripped rooted rom but I keep getting an error in recovery. footer wrong signature failure.
Ah... No twrp. ?
Yep. ID10T error did not follow instructions. All is working now.
Hello
I am new to working on these phones so I apologize in advance if I don't properly state any processes or terms correctly.
I have a stock non modded Verizon LGG3 VS985 that experienced problems with WiFi and Bluetooth not working and significant battery drain. This happened right after a recent update to marshmallow. I tried cache clearing, safe mode, hard reset and nothing solved the problem. I decided I wanted to take the phone back to factory condition. I started with the LG flash tool that uses the .tot and a .dll. I ran the flash and when the program got to approx. 80%(at checking mini os phase of the flash) the phone began to reboot and only got as far as the LG logo and after about 2 min of the phone trying to reboot the flash program said fail, usb connect or something like that. At this point the phone will only start and go into a loop that includes the vibrate and the LG logo. and that will cycle until I believe the battery would die if allowed. I then found a link here at XDA (https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-lg-g3/general/guide-flash-to-stock-10b-kdz-method-t2928140) that uses the KDZ method, was well written and easy to follow. I ran it on the phone and it was going great. The flash program got to 88% and the phone went into the boot loop with the vib and LG logo . The flash program continued to run until it was complete while the phone was in the boot loop and it got to 100% and said that the software installed. I powered down the phone via battery removal and now when it tries to boot it vibes, shows the lg log and then the green android symbol shows for about 2 seconds and then it does it all over again. I have tried a hard reset and nothing changes. I appreciate any ideas any of you may have on what I can try to get this resolved. Thank you.

Not sure I understand the question completely, but I did place the phone in download mode as per the method you mention prior to both attempting the KDZ method and the TOT method of going back to stock.
