TWRP/CWM vs Phhusson - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

Hello,
The Freddy phone from Wiko is a new Qualcomm based mobil. His Android Marshmallow settings allow to unlock OEM bootloader.
We are wishing an easy way to root it and one click apps are not able to, for now.
A recovery would help a lot. Would you be able to port twrp or cwm, pleased ?
The phhusson boot.img say offering an easier way to port, isn't it ?
Wich method will root first the Freddy !?

Is there anyway I can unlock the bootloader on my device and flash a custom rom to get the custom gcam mods working on my phone because every gcam mod doesn't work on my device. I am very new to custom roming and rooting a device. Any helpful suggestions would be massively appreciated

No. Get a different variant. AFAIK, Googles products are the only ones sold on Verizon that can be unlocked

Question When TWRP for OnePlus 9 Pro?

Dear,
I need to have TWRP for rooting my OP9Pro but it is of course not available for the OP9Pro since it is brand new. Since i am experienced with flashing TWRP on OnePlus phones i already now that TWRP officialy doesn't support the latest phones of OnePlus so i know that the TWRP's used for that are from Mauronofrio and others. But does anyone know how long it would take till someone has developed a reliable version of TWRP for it and maybe also how long it would take till MSMDownloadtool become available for us?
Regards,
Kuno
It will become available when it does. No one knows when. One day you may see it. Or not. Flip a coin and good luck!
You also do not need TWRP for root.
There is already this thread asking for TWRP since the start of this sub-forum : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/how-come-we-dont-have-root-and-twrp-yet.4252335/
For rooting without TWRP, here is an explanation : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...gisked-boot-root.4252373/page-4#post-84747985
Unlocking the bootloader is done by rebooting in fastboot mode and fastboot oem unlock

[DEV]How to compile TWRP touch recovery
All of TWRP 3.x source is public. You can compile it on your own. This guide isn't going to be a step-by-step, word-for-word type of guide. If you're not familiar with basic Linux commands and/or building in AOSP then you probably won't be...

I don't think this is applicable because the recovery is a part of the boot image and this guide is for creating a standalone recovery image I think since android O (someone can correct me if I'm wrong on which android version introduced this)

Well, this guide still covers the basics of setting up a tree and building. You'll need that regardless if your device has a recovery partition or not.

Question Any popular CUSTOM ROM that supports the Nokia G20 ?

I want to install a custom ROM on my Nokia G20 once the official support ends on May 2024.
I visited this page and searched the supported list but couldn't find Nokia G20.
Any custom ROM available for download that supports the G20 ?
I don't want to download a ROM from a random source. My main focus is security which is why I don't want to continue using this device after May 2024.
Sadly not yet

I wrote "not yet". Does that mean there is hope ? Specifically which ROM can I expect to support the G20 in the near future ? LineageOS ?
Also someone told me something about the bootloader. I don't know much about Android. He told me that Nokia does not allow installation of custom ROMs. Is this true ? If yes then how am I supposed to install a custom ROM even if a project starts supporting the G20 ?

Ah it all depends brother if someone builds a ROM for the device, but if nobody does, there's just no hope.
and it's not true you can still install custom ROMs on Nokia devices, You can surely unlock it's bootloader and you need to install a custom recovery in order to install a ROM. And about how you'd know, there's just no way. like just keep checking the Xda forums of the Device Nokia G20

Hello Friends~! I bought one of these phones specifically to root and build a rom for, since I saw it was lacking any options. I have to finish a project I am working on, so give me a couple weeks max and I should have some stuff up for y'all.

As far as your other question, I like to do three builds, one is a Recovery Rom that is Stock, the second is a Stock Rom that is Rooted, the third one being Lineage with Root. I traditionally put Gapps on there, the mini. I can do images without Gapps if requested, etc.

Hi,
With an unlocked bootloader you can root your device. Then, you can extract vendor files and build a rom from scratch.
For those people that have bootloader unlocked, please, upload vendor files to a git repo.

Question Downgrade?

Hello, am new to pixel device... My previous device was Xiaomi Mi 11 , my device carne with A13 !my question is there any way to downgrade to A12 I want to flash derfest A12 my fav ROM .. thx in advance
Hello, welcome to Pixel land.
First, in order to flash a factory image, you'd have to unlock your bootloader. If you don't know already, click the yellow How To Guide quick filter at the top of the list of threads in this section and you'll find 3-4 threads that tell how. I also have a link in my signature below - you can use the link for the Pixel 7 Pro - the instructions to unlock the bootloader are the same, and the OP of my Pixel 7 Pro thread is much better organized than my one for the Pixel 6 Pro, in my opinion.
After that, the only way you can downgrade (and have everything working, and not brick your phone is to use one of the two Android 12 Developer Support images for Pixel. There's an Android 12.0 build from February and an Android 12.1 build from July. They will never receive updates, however.
You can always manually flash a Pixel 6 Pro stable Factory Image to re-upgrade at a later date, or use the Official Google Android Flash Tool (OEM Unlocking needs to be toggled on - you may not have to manually unlock the bootloader - the "site" will do that on its own) to re-upgrade.
Any of the stable Android 12 builds at that factory image link should not be flashed because the Android 13 bootloader cannot be downgraded to an Android 12 bootloader, and if you flash everything from 12 Stable but the bootloader, it'll appear to work at first, but it truly won't work correctly - it will not be useable.
If you unlock the bootloader, you should also make sure the Android 13 bootloader is flashed to your inactive slot as well, to avoid the possibility of accidentally bricking your new phone.
Thanks for the fast reply sir much appreciated .. I got the idea ... My device stock unlocked and rooted .. now my question is if I flashed the July A12.1 developer ... Can I flash custom ROM based on A12.1 like derpfest etc ... Sorry I mixed up things here little harder than xiaomi

You're welcome. I don't fool around with custom ROMs except on my 6-year-old or more phones, so I can't answer that question. Part of the best things about having Pixels is the software features Google starts off exclusively on the Pixel stock ROMs.
