[Q] Play store and Maps not working on cm11

Hi everyone
I'm writing here for a simple question: is anyone having problems with gapps when clean installed with cm11 builds? (Playfulgod and Kitkang)
I'd have written on the relative thread but I have less than 10 posts and I don't want to spam
If there's a dedicated thread for that rom accessible to new registered users please guide me.
Fact is that rom is working perfecltly (battery life too) but I need to use my phone with maps and store and from what I've read no one has ever had this problem.
I'll explain better:
gapps are working perfectly when on wifi but when I use mobile data connection they are not able to connect to internet ( in fact mail works flawlessly tbh)
I've tried to install everithing as usual, then tried wiping system too and finally tried to install just after a clean toolkit 4.3 install but I was not able to solve this
I tried both PA and dhacker gapps with no luck

I am using the 1120 build, and the gapps from dhacker, which i found that you need to force stop-> clear data->uninstall->install to make it work (many other apps too), since then i had used it for almost week, and have no more problem, you might try my method at your own risk, besure to have backup of your data first
forgot to mention: root does not works on ART, if you need root, do NOT enable ART runtime

I'll try asap, but there's still a thing that is not clear to me: apps must be flashed right? so if I uninstall them, hou will I be able to install them back? do I have to re-flash them via cwm?

I tried to force stop everything relateg to gapps and clear data but I don't know how to uninstall/ reinstall (Titanium backup maybe?)

Snapchat, Snapchat, Snapchat....help please

So, i've used Snapchat on both
Stock (5.1.1 - Oi1 Rom) and Custom Rom (Renegade)
I can't seem to get it to work on the custom rom, i've always had to use the stock rom and it would work just fine, but on the other it would say "temporarily logged out" or something different, but when i boot back to stock, its fine and doesn't hesitate to say that.
Am i missing something here?? i've already tried resetting my password 5 times to be sure.

I don't use Snapchat, but this might explain your issue:

Snapchat detects Root and stops working, XDA builds a work-around into Xposed, Snapchat puts out a new patch and repeat.
Found something new: Try updating to Snapprefs 1.6.4. And you will find more help here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/app-snapprefs-ultimate-snapchat-utility-t2947254

I've actually ended up researching and figuring it outmyself my way or work around.
Snapchat checks or scans to see if "Xposed" which leads me to not log in.
So in order to use Snapchat with Snapprefs or 3rd party, you would need to either
Install stock and root it, then log into snapchat with the latest version and then go to recovery to install xposed.
or
Install stock and root then boot to recovery to install the custom rom and do no install xposed framework.
Once done with booting up and setting up, install snapchat latest version, log into it and then install xposed.
once thats done download 'xinstaller' and check to enable downgrading and updating and then install 'snapprefs' for all the
juicyness of customizations.
Profit!
My configuration.
Snapchat -
9.17.1.0
Xposed -
75 wanam 20151008 - seems to work best for me on both roms instead of v79.
Snapprefs -
1.6.2

I found a work around for it my phone died and I signed into my sc from another device used it and logged off when I tried signing in on my phone I got temp login failure notice this is what I did to get back on:
On a second device, download latest version and sign into Snapchat
Once done, root second device and download titanium backup
Make a back up of Snapchat from second device and send the .tibkp back up or whatever to the first device
On first device download latest version of snapchat and titanium back up and restore the data only from the file you sent to the first device from the second device
Once done use sc like normal
Works fine unless you sign out from Snapchat on the second device so what I did is I froze Snapchat on the second device and erased the back up.

Why does Snapchat do this? Does anyone have any idea why?

They make a silly app with an unenforceable premise, the app sucks and they block third-party alternatives, their security is awful, their background data drain is known to go nuts, and now they are blocking root users so they can better charge you for replays??
But still they can't tame the root..
p.s. the CEO is an Apple fanboy..

Canadian LGG3 D852. Questions about Xposed installer and the ARM zip stopping camera

Hey guys, just looking for some advice. Currently I am rooted on my LG G3. Im new to rooting and xposed and Android for that matter but managed to figure out the root and flashing roms and stuff. So when i download Xposed, then boot into recover and install the Arm 21 file, it installs fine but then i try and use my camera and it just has a black screen. Also the messenger apps dont work either. I am just wondering why this is happening when everything else is working just fine. I have tried downloading 3rd party camera and messaging apps and still the same thing happens. Any advice would be awesome! thanks.
P.s. I have unrooted and then re rooted and tried it all again and the same thing happens. So i removed Xposed and Arm21 file and then flashed CLOUDY and the camera and msg apps work again. I have not tried installing Xposed installer and the ARM21 file while having CLOUDY installed. Just dont want to ruin the camera from working .

Snapchat lences won't work

Hello guys,
I saw some snapchat threads, but none of them had the same issue.
I install snapchat as i should on rooted phone running xposed:
1. Uninstall xposed
2. Install snapchat
3. Log in snapchat
4. Install xposed
Everything's ok, but not actually.
When i try the lences feature (hold my face), the app freezes and closes like nothing happened.
I don't know how to make the lences work, please help me..
I searched for solution for 3 days straight, nothing on the internet..
PS: I'm using the latest RR rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-grand-duos/development/rom-resurrection-remix-5-6-7-t3360787).

How to prepare for new ROM with Link2SD+ and Xposed

I have the Virgin Mobile version of the HTC Desire 816 and I'm using some year+ old unofficial build of CM13. I'd like to try this ROM: https://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-816/orig-development/rom-unofficial-cm14-a5-t3468631 but I have Xposed installed (not sure what the version of this is, or what modules, or even how I did it besides that it was for blocking root to Miitomo with rootcloak I believe and that feature doesn't even work anymore) as well as Link2SD+ (paid version) with almost all apps linked to my partitioned SD card. On reboot with my current setup the thing tells me my SD is corrupted but I can always just dismiss that notification and proceed as normal.
How do I proceed to update besides the usual backup procedures? What can I do to preserve the Link2SD stuff/Xposed before updating to 7.1 Lineage 14? I'm pretty new, and thanks for any help.
Bonus: I'd love to get Pokemon Go working again but since it's rooted, no dice. Any help appreciated with that as well.
