I got my OP3 yesterday and out of the box it had an OTA available so I installed it. The OTA put me at 3.2.7, however, when I look on the OP3 website, it shows the latest official version is 3.2.6. Why the inconsistency between the website and whats on my phone?
The latest official version is 3.2.7
3.2.6 had 2 bugs that were resolved with the 3.2.7 hotfix, but yes, they haven't updated their website with the full rom zips. So be assured, you are on the correct latest version.

I see some people recommending each other installing firmware packages (3.5.5 in most cases) and I just wonder what's the point of this? I've installed official snapshot of CM13 right after unboxing of my OP3 and now I'm confused - did I make it right? Maybe I should first update OxygenOS and THEN install CM13? Or maybe I should flash 3.5.5 firmware zip over the CyanogenMod right now?
Thanks for explain in advance.

You don't have to update OxygenOS before CM, so you did it right! (But at least in some versions of CM14.1 it is required to have OxygenOS 3.2.6 or newer to work.)
3.5.5 is just a community build based on OxygenOS.

Interesting! I did flash MC13 without even knowing that i needed 3.2.6 lol it worked just fine and i have flashed MC14.1 a few times... Once you got MC13 installed going back to stock really really sucks!!!

I am going to try 4.4 kernel based rom so was wondering about the above question i.e what's the diff between baseband and bootloader or both are used interchangably?
I had updated my baseband before with the zui 3.5 China version, so can i go ahead and install 4.4 kernel based roms?
Also i had installed deodexed zui 4.0.233 and it was working properly
I was in your situation recently.
I was running AiCP 13.1 + Nameless since July. Device was running butter smooth, stable and satisfactorily performance while gaming.
However since last PubG update things took nose dive while gaming. Extreme heating, horrible battery backup. So decided to move on to latest Pie.
My steps,
1. Using QPST/QFIL, installed the stocked ZUI 1.9 Chinese.
Tried to OTA but got server error while downloading ZUI 2.0
2. Downloaded the stock OTA update package of ZUI 3.5
3. Used the OTA update. It took several incremental updates till it settled for ZUI 4.0.199
This made sure I am having latest official baseband.
4. Used my previous boot unlocked image via ADB/Fastboot to unlocked the bootloader
5. Flashed latest TWRP
6. Flashed the Factory to vendor stuff
7. Flashed the latest Treble TWRP
8. Flushed AEX 6.0 + GApps Nano
Devices booted up nicely and now running AEX 6.0 for last 8 hours or so.
Thanks.

I'm on Android oreo looking for updates and can't find them.
He says they are in the latest software version.
You probably need to do a full flash.

Hello,
I've just bought fresh new and sealed OP5T 8/128.
I've got ONEPLUS A5010_43_171115 build (Android 7.1.1, Oxygen 4.7.2) installed on the phone.
How can I update it to Android 9 or straight to the 10? The OTA doesn't show any updates and when I tried to install 9.0.11 using local file from the official OnePlus website, the installation failed
Thanks for your help in advance

Use Oxygen Updater from the Play Store. It'll show you the latest version you can update to safely (it will most likely be OOS 5.1.4, which creates the vendor partition). Once done, re-open Oxygen Updater and it'll show OOS the next latest you can update to safely (and this should be OOS 10).
You need to install 5.1.4 first, then update to 10
I didn't like half-as*ed OOS10 update for 5T so i decided to rollback to latest OOS9 which is 9.0.11 but after using for a while i remember good ol' days that this version had problems with aggresive background app killing, i couldn't remember which OOS9 was the best for 5T, is beta 33 any good?
Tried Open Beta 33 for a while but it has battery optimization problems similar to 9.0.11, it kills some processes like Whatsapp then unable to receive messages unless i open Whatsapp manually. This has been also reported with Oneplus Nord.
Seems like OOS 9.0.10 and above is preparation upgrades for OOS10 and they are buggy as F.
If anyone wants to go back some stable OOS9 version i suggest you to use 9.0.9. Its the latest working OOS9 rom for 5T.
How to downgrade oos 10 to oos 9?? Can you help me out here.

Just download zip file from here
[OP5T] [ROM] [OTA] [OOS] Mirrors for official OxygenOS ROMs and incremental OTAs
Welcome! As OnePlus doesn't always provide direct download links for all of the OxygenOS full zips & incremental OTA zips, we have taken the initiative of mirroring them on AndroidFileHost and consolidating all the links in one place, so that...
