Recently I ported my Sprint Galaxy S6 to Straight Talk. I didn't know at the time that this also flashes the network from Sprint to Straight Talk and reversing it is a little difficult (I should have known that it would flash networks). Now I want to flash it back to Sprint but am having a bit of trouble finding the proper software. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hello, I recently picked up a Sprint S3 on craigslist that had been flashed to Cricket. I was interested in using to phone on Boost or Straight Talk.
I have been searching the internet for hours and I still haven't found the straightforward answer I was looking for.
First I made sure the IMEI numbers matched on the phone's software and physically on the back of the phone. Check.
Next, I used ##786# to restore phone back to Sprint specs.
Next, used DFS CDMA tool to update from Cricket PRL to Sprint PRL. (with the intentions of activating as a BYOP through the Straight Talk network, as the phone has a clean Sprint ESN. However, I guess BYOP through Straight Talk requires a SIM??)
So, the ultimate question.. is it REQUIRED to clone an ESN from a Straight Talk/Boost phone for me to activate my SPH-L710 on their network?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Sky
Hi,
I have a Sprint GS3 running 4.3 stock that I am contemplating bringing over the metro. I have a few questions for the experts here:
1. Is there a stock Metro pcs rom that I can load on this phone? Purpose would be to automate things like update PRL button to work for metro, Visual voicemail to work and remove sprint bloatware and use metro bloatware (ha).
2. Phone seems to be fine with talk and text but no data. I have looked at the guides over here but so far, no go. Anyone can help me find out what is my SID??
Thanks

T-mobile purchased them a while back. They quit selling CDMA phones last year and will discontinue support next year. I'm sure CDMA coverage with metro pcs isn't much better than Sprint right now either...plus, how much will they support existing towers? And doesn't Metro PCS 'flash' your phone for you? I thought it was one of those places. You should visit a store or look online regarding this.
So, I thought I would ask here. I can't find a lot of information on the problem. There are sites that have contradicting information in google results, but mostly, nothing consistent. Hoping at least here I can get a why or a how to fix it.
So, as the title suggests, I have a Sprint Samsung Galaxy Nexus L700 running Slimkat with Android 4.4.2 build 4 official. I think there's an update to that rom, but at this point I don't think the rom has anything to do with the issue. All roms have the issue.
So the issue in question. Sprint rolled out LTE 4G in my area but my nexus never gets it. I know we have 4g because my Galaxy Tab 3 picks it up all the time. When I look at the tab, the network is listed as LTE:14. However, no matter what I try, the nexus will only ever pick up CDMA - EvDo rev A. This is a 4G phone and I'm using the GJ04 LTE/CDMA radios, but I never get 4g. I get 3G just fine. For whatever reason, it's like the LTE radio on this nexus never bothers to activate.
What i've tried to fix this:
1. Different radios. I've tried them all, from FC02 to GJ04.
2. Different roms. Same issue on all roms. Doesn't appear to be a custom rom issue.
3. Doing the data settings to LTE only. This doesn't stick, it just goes back to CDMA. I'm told this is by design due to 4g being data only mode.
I don't know what else I can try. Sprint's only answer is to blame it on the custom rom. Which I can't necessarily blame them for, it did void my warranty, but even with the stock rom I still get no LTE.
Any ideas?
Well for sure one thing is to flash the stock rom and see if you get the lte connections.
second, try someone else sim and see if that fixes the issue.
Sprint Galaxy Nexus getting no 4g inside coverage area
I am having the same issue as the first post and have tried all of the same troubleshooting tactics with no prevail. I am currently running LiquidSmooth v3.1 4.4.4 KK baseband GJ04. I have contacted sprint and they are of absolutely zero help. Not only am I having 4g connection issues but I can barely receive 3g. I am located literally in what sprint considers one of their best 4g coverage areas in my area yet haven't been able to connect once. Please any help or insight as to a solution would be greatly appreciated.
Hey all. Hopefully this isn't as obvious as I think it is. I have a Verizon Note 3 and recently dropped Verizon and went to Tmobile prepaid. I flashed Alliance's rom from the Verizon forum here and all seems to be working although sometimes the calls and connection are a little flaky. My question is this. ..since I am on Tmobile service now, should I be flashing Tmo ROMs here or should I stick with flashing Verizon Roms since that is the original maker of the phone? Thanks in advance guys

As long as the hardware is the same, and I believe it is, you'll probably get much better service on a T-Mobile ROM. Wait for a second opinion though.
Hey good Android people,
After searching for this topic for an hour I couldn't find anyone with the same problem so I figured I should make a new thread.
I just got a used, unlocked AT&T Galaxy Note 4 N910A running Android 6.0.1. I put in my T Mobile sim and get call and text but no 4g/LTE or mms. Of note, I have my wife's phone in my hand, the exact same version, and she's got lightening fast 4g LTE.
I went in and changed the APN to what TMobile recommends and confirmed it is exactly what my wife's phone is running. I also ran LTE discovery, rebooted the phone and all I continue to get is the "E" icon with up and down arrows. I also keep getting a text from 94183571 that says, "Sorry, this service is not available." Whatever that means.
Please tell me there's a fix, it took forever to find a phone in such good shape. Thanks guys.
Matt from Philly
Can anyone help? I'm desperate!
im in the same boat. i have no explanation but im seriously dying to know as well.
i too have the galaxy note 4 unlocked from att with which i am using tmobile service. i have the exact same issues with blotchy signals and bogus service including the infamous texts from 94183571 which mean absolutely nothing to me besides the fact that they appear out of nowhere at any time. i dont even have to be touching or using my phone at all and i get these messages. who sends them and why? what service is it that they are referring to? how is it that my phone is trying to use a service when its not being used by me at all? how do i stop it? what triggers it in the first place? can anybody offer even a vague or a comically incorrect answer that would point me in the right direction hopefully? if you have any information, please by all means, step forward. it will be greatly appreciated. thank you.
