I have searched all forums (including note 3) but can't find out how to disable the air command sound (not the spen dock/undock sound) but the noise when you hover and press the button.
Thanks
Settings, Controls, Air view, un-check "Sound and haptic feedback".

I turned off the system sound all together.
Press on the volume buttom (up or down), then the "gear" icon. Turn the "system" sound all the way down.

Go to Setting > Device > Sound > Volume
There should be 3 slide bar, "Music, video...", "Notification" and "System"
Slide the "System" bar to zero while leaving the "Notification" bar at your desire volume.
That should solve the issue.

That works thanks better. But there must be a way to turn off this individual sound.
Hey guys.
So i just got my HTC One M8 2 days ago and I really love it.
But one small problem.
I have turned the notification light to off for all my alerts, and whenever I get a text or an email etc. It still goes off.
Not really sure what is causing this. Am I missing something?
I go to:
Settings > Display and Gestures > Notification light > I uncheck all the following
Any help is appreciated
Thanks!

You don't have any 3rd party apps installed that control the LED light, like Lightflow?

Guys, the LED Notification works perfectly with MM use "MOTO LED ENABLER" App from Google Play Store
This App does not works with 7.XX and above right now.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=br.com.itsmeton.motoledenabler&hl=de
You can add all apps you like to get notification!
Need root?
yes, root needed.

Hi!, The MOTO LED ENABLER app is unstable. It has problem when reboot the cellphone.
I prefer the Light Flow Legacy app, it's much better, but the configuration is a little bit difficult...

Hey,
After a little experimentation, I found that you can use the Light Flow Legacy app to control the led. (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rageconsulting.android.lightflowlegacy&hl=en)
Once you've installed it, you must give notification access.
Go to menu > settings > Device Settings and Root > check "root mode" and "run every command as root". (***)
Then go to menu > settings > LED control > Additional LEDs found > check "charging control"
Now, go to menu > notification settings > click the 3-dot menu on any of the items in the list > settings
In the next screen, swipe right to find a tab called Light. Find charging LED and click on it. You'll have an option of turning it "solid".
You also have an option to set its brightness, but that setting didn't change the led's brightness.
On the top right corner, you have an option called "Test". Click on that and switch off your display.
You should see the charging led light up.
Cheers.

(***) and "Direct mode" too
I've been out of the samsung infrastructure for a little while coming from the Pixel 3 xl (2 years), and I just received my s20 Ultra on Monday. But I noticed that every time I pick up my phone I get the message "received location update", I have no problem with the "location update" seeing as if I lose my phone it can be tracked later. BUT i'm tired of seeing the notification! Is there a way to turn that off? without turning off location services? And by notification its not something in the status bar its a message that comes up near the fingerprint scanner.
hard/long press on the notification bar will allow you to mute it or control it

its not a notification that shows up in the status bar. it's literally a pop up bubble that shows up near the fingerprint sensor EVERY time I pick up my phone.

This, from manual, might be what you need,
Smart pop-up view
Receive notifications as icons that can be tapped and expanded in pop-up view.
*◌ From Settings, tap Advanced features >*Smart*pop-up view, and tap to enable.

It's called a toast notification and you might want to fry something like:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.revanmj.toastsource
It'll tell you what app is generating the toast notification.
Yup, like the title of the thread says.

I meant the pop up notification, or toast message I believe. Yes I can swipe it, I know, but I programmed do not disturb, so I don't want to be notified via a pop up message
an update
I disabled the status bar icon as instructed above, but the system ui notification still popped up when DND is turned on.
When the system notification pops up, try:
Press and release the notification, it may shift right and you'll see a gear symbol and trash can.
Click the gear symbol, there maybe an option in there to disable notification

Nope Andy, there's no way to turn it off.
AutoNotification. It works perfect for blocking the notifications you choose!
Maybe this can help you?
Remove NFC and Other Status Bar Icons Without Root [needs ADB][Marshmallow only]
I got my 10 today after waiting since it was released. On thing that got me was the ugly NFC icon, it is horrible! Right bare with me... You need a working ADB setup Tap Settings > About > Software Information > More Keep tapping build...

I don't see the icon listed tho so I'm not sure if this can be applied for your case.
Btw I once tried this on Android 9 and it still worked so I assume this still works

Thank you, but it is grayed out so I cannot toggle it off.
I just re-read the setting, and it's for blocking notifications while DND is on, and not to turn off the notification that DND is on.
There's got to be a way.
this worked for me
