Hi all, I've just joined here and I'm interested in fitting an android double din head unit.
After reading loads of stuff on here I decided I wanted an MTCD unit. I struggled to find anything as I need a unit with a DVD drive. I've now bought a unit from reseller Pumpkin which they told me was an MTCD unit. I've just powered it up and it turns out it is a Klyde MTCB unit. My question is, should I keep the unit or send it back and keep looking for an MTCD one - is there any real advantage of getting one over the other as the specs seem pretty much the same.
Whichever unit I end up keeping I plan to use Malaysk ROM.

I’m fairly new to the android radios and options, but I’m trying to get the TPMS unit from Avinusa.com (not the usb B plug model, but the one that has a purple plug on it) to work with an Xtrons 7” unit that’s is the MTCE GS unit, and it doesn’t look like the unit is seeing the TPMS receiver. Can anyone give me some help and insight in how to get this to work?
Please forgive me if I put this in the wrong section as I’m still learning more about this radio.

Does the TPMS Have the same fitting plug as the TPMS01 from Xtrons? Also have you installed the Software for the TPMS or is it pre installed? And one last thing, in factory settings in the headunit you will find the option for TPMS versions, make sure it is set to the correct manufacturer or if manufacturer is not on the list you will need to try each one to see if it works.

Hi
I’m new to the whole world of android head units so was after a little advice which I can’t seem to find elsewhere in the forum.
I’ve a kia ceed 2010 that I want to replace the oem head unit on, I’d like to do the px6 route as seems better than px5 for virtually the same cash.
Are there any particular things to look out for or avoid? I’ve read that Dasaita make some of the best head units but they don’t seem to do a px6 for my make and model.
I’ve found one from sadocom on aliexpress, which seems to fit the bill and screenshot shows is MTCE but it's MTCE_CZ which I can’t seem to find much about.
Any advice appreciated

If your car model exist on px5 ask dasaita for a px6 of your model...they can make it for you

Unfortunately they only do the newer ceed 2012+, not my 2010. But thanks anyway.
I would suggest don't worry about getting a Dasaita just be sure to get a PX5/6 with a MTCE MCU then you can use Malaysk custom firmware. If anything ask for advice once you've decided on a unit to find out if they're buggy.
hello, not new to android been modding for many years but this will be my first jump into a android head unit. this will be for my wife's car and she wants the dash to remain stock and anything wider then stock will partially or fully block the middle 2 main ac vents. so she limited me to the standard 7" screen size.
im looking at the max6 and one from xtrons px6 version which does not have the dsp chip but they offered me the chip if i buy the unit from them included.
im reading of some issues with the max6 here at xda and wanted to know if that is the norm with this model? and how is xtrons overall these days i was reading they were decent but those threads seem to be pretty old and i dont want to revive them. otherwise is there any specific model px6 7" unit anyone here can directly recc to me? any help would be appreciated. ive spent hours reading all sorts of threads but many of them are older threads now about px5 or px3 units.
also does anyone expect anything new from ces this year chip wise? though i dont know how many of these china companies show there. i sawe dasaita has in the past.
thanks!

I grabbed the xtrons tq709ipl because its got the px6, is known to be compatible with some roms here, and the price was better than dasiata's comparable px6. Like you mentioned the xtrons doesn't have a DSP, i'm not an audiophile so i don't really know about features I wont be able to judge. What I've read is that the chip in the xtrons even without a DSP is still "better" than most name brand head units out there. amazon is running a $20 coupon right now too (as of 2/19/202), so that was nice. Shipping from hong kong only took 3 days too somehow, so that was cool.
With either of them be prepared to modify the double-din dash kit if you need one for your car. The android head unit faceplates are a few mm larger than North American big brand units like pioneer, jvc, sony, etc.
Good news is I've read enough to conclude all px6 based units are essentially the same guts, and roms will generally work on any of them. So you should just decide: what faceplate you like better between the two, does the DSP really matter to you, and then look at cost and how quick you can get it!
Good luck!
After reading mixed reviews about these things, I want to be sure they can run a custom rom, before buying. Is there anyway to tell?
I have been looking at the 8 core 64gb memory, 4gb memory from Seicane for a Chrylser 300. This one on Alibaba.

Anyone know if this can run custom rom? or a way to find out?
You want an MTCD/E/P, MTCB units are long retired. Ask seller to tell you what the "MCU" is listed as -anything starting 'MTCD or MTCE or MTCP' is such a unit.

Thank you kindly I have asked.
Is there a brand that produces good MTCX units that I can see if they have a unit?

They're all flawed, [GS] MCU Type (Factory) may still be sold by reseller Xtrons and [HA] MCU/Factory Type sold by Dasaita/HotAudio appear to be the better of the bad.
Thanks, they dont make one for my car. Thanks though.
I seen on 300 forums, there was a unit that keeps being suggested Thread goes back to late 17, till about now and all have had good results and units still work. So hopefully they have the right MCU.
I apologize if not. I'm desperate for assistance and I hope someone can point me in the right direction. I recently purchased a Dasaita Vivid 10 on Amazon for my 2015 Camry. Few things:
After installation and turning it on, I wasn't presented with the first time user setup. Additionally, there were a few local MP3s on there. Specifically "Hotel California" from The Eagles. Is this normal or was I sold a used unit? The unit itself had the plastic on the screen. ZERO marks that it was used. Everything from my perception was brand new.
However, when I went to connect WiFi, I received the seemingly common error of it turning on and instantly back off again. As such, I did a factory reset. This erased all of the music that was on the device. This leads me to think that it shouldn't come with music...
Each time I turn my car on, the WiFi is a red X on the icon on the bottom right. To resolve this, I need to hctreboot the thing using factory settings. After this, it will work. However this really sucks and I don't want to do this every time I get into my car. Last night I changed the BT setting and I believe it may have fixed the wifi issue. However, this broke Bluetooth. When I loaded up a hardware info application, there was a mac address for WiFi but none for BT. Is there a way to know which module I have to select the right setting?
Can someone explain exactly what I can do to fix this? After searching for hours I am so lost with all of the terms. Vivid, Scout, MAX. I have no idea where to even get a firmware file. What does MTCD stand for? While it may be considered a budget radio, $530 bucks is a big chunk of change for a radio to be this unreliable. I wrote on Dasaita's forums and it looks like they couldn't care less to assist people. Frustrated, and I'd like help here before returning this and returning to the stock unit. I can provide pictures of anything if needed, just let me know!
Thank you all!
Welcome to the world of cheap Chinese origin Android head units and quality issues.
There is no first run, that is normal.
MTCD refers to a type of unit based on HCT design. There are a bunch of factories that produce these and a bunch of resellers, such as dasaita that sell them, applying made up brand names and model codes. Dasaita appear to price their units at a premium.
Suggest returning it for the hardware issue and look to an FYT based unit, which might get you closer to what you want.
I no longer recommend MTCD based units, and have since brought an FYT 7862UIS based device. The bugs are less, superior hardware, fantastic audio and works without all the mods/hacks.

Aww man, not the news I wanted to hear however it was expected. At this point I might just go back to stock. I really loved how the dasaita fit into my Camry as it looks super OEM and clean.
Do you know of any of the FYT units that look OEM for a 2015 Camry?
Is this FYT: https://www.joyingauto.com/joying-1...radio-replacement-2015-2017-android-auto.html
I have a 2017 Camry and have this head unit:
https://www.amazon.com/SYGAV-Android-Toyota-Carplay-Navigation/dp/B08PKZY28H/ref=sr_1_1
While it's not a FYT unit, I will tell you that it does not have Vivid installed on it and has worked quite well in my Camry for over a year now.
Would be happy to answer any questions about it. I posted a review on Amazon and have answered a few questions over on Amazon as well.

Thanks so much for this! If I can't get my Dasaita working correctly, I will absolutely return and get that one!
