BOG5 update error - Verizon Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I thought I was rooted and unlocked but lost it on reboot. However, I am on BOG5. I'm trying to update to 5.1.1 but I get an error message of "error 7 error installing zip file '/sdcard/update.zip'
The zip I'm using is the safe upgrade BOG5 to PA1. Am I missing something dumb?
Any help would be appreciated!
edit--Looks like the file can only be flashed in twrp which I have now lost.
Stupid easy fix--flashed full firmware and pit--duh!

Nexus one to stock (able to update with OTA)

Hai..
My First Post
I bought a nexus one from my friend.. It was rooted(boot loader unlocked).. Lately new update for android 2.2.1 was pushed and it failed at verifying signature..
I kinda like OTA update. Is there anyway i could go back to some firmware where i could get OTA.. If that's possible could anyone guide me through..
1) I flashed the firmware to 2.1(stock as said in the site) and tried to update to 2.2 then the update failed at assertion error
2) then i flashed to 2.2 stock(non rooted).. Then i got this verification error..
I flashed it using the easy methord downloading the zip to sd card->Recover->zip from sd card..

Attempting to flash back to stock software

I'm currently on CM 11, and I'm attempting to flash back to the stock ZV7 software. I chose this software since it was the only one I could find easily. I figured I could just update back to ZVC once I was on it. I put the software on my root storage and then attempted to flash it with the recovery (I'm using CWM), and it says installation started, but immediately aborts without giving an error message. Any idea what I need to do, to put it back on stock LG software? Thanks!

Use this. I've always been able to flash it from any recovery and haven't heard of anyone not being able to flash it. Plus it's zvc so no need to update.

Can't downgrade to stock roms, TWRP says "Failed"

Yes, I've downloaded the correct backup and recovery. When I try to flash the backup, it fails. I have tried about 4 different types of stock roms that should be compatible. Fail, fail, and more fail.
I flashed my HTC One M8 with a lollipop rom, and it messed up my Wifi. It doesnt work anymore. I've tried multiple roms and it works on none of them. I have tried flashing a stock backup and stock recovery so I can update my firmware completely via t-mobile, but the backup will not flash. Keeps saying failed with no error message.
Please help me. I've been trying to fix this on my own for days and it is really boggin' me down.
I'm on twrp 2.8.1.0
Firmware version 1.57.531.7
CID T-MOB010
TL;DR: I CAN'T FLASH A STOCK ROM SO I CAN UPDATE MY FIRMWARE! TWRP SAYS FAILED!
You don't actually flash the backup, you restore it.
Are you talking about a stock backup you've downloaded from a thread in here ?
If so I hope you understood the instructions as you need to extract it and place it in the twrp/backup/****** directory where you made your first backup.
Can you boot to a system at all?

CN ota file .183

Can someone with the CN firmware post the latest ota update .183 located under the cashe/ folder on main storage.
I tried to install via online update but for some reason it failed and now I don't get the update anymore.
I'm not using stock ROM... But I think, there is problem with OTA(.183) update...
Because some users facing the problem while doing update...
for example...

2. http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/help/flashed-rom-zenfone-2-ze551ml-didnt-t3369395
3. http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/help/zenfone-2-failed-update-flash-stock-t3369786
is there anyone who successfully updated to 183 build...??
I had an old recovery and I got a message saying "cannot update, your recovery xxx.xx..20" and it was true because I had twrp recovery and before the update I flashed the .20 official recovery that I had in my SD card and I thought that this was the problem, then I dirty flashed the latest CN firmware .159 from Asus that includes the updated recovery but ever since I flashed the latest recovery I never got the update notification again.
So I figured that since I don't get the update notification anymore if I had the CN ota file I could manually flash it.

dm-verify failed after restoring stock firmware

Hi all,
I was also having the freezing/restart issues so I decided to flash the latest stock XSA (australia region) firmware on my 1 week old note 7. The flashing process went smoothly but in the end I landed on the restore screen with "dm-verify failed" displaying in red at the bottom. I tried to flash the same firmware again and again but now I keep getting "no PIT/partition found" error. The process fails immediately followed by a reboot. Does this mean I have to flash PIT file? If yes, where can I source PIT file for my note 7 and how to flash it using odin?
thanks in advance.
