dm-verify failed after restoring stock firmware - Note 7 Questions & Answers

Hi all,
I was also having the freezing/restart issues so I decided to flash the latest stock XSA (australia region) firmware on my 1 week old note 7. The flashing process went smoothly but in the end I landed on the restore screen with "dm-verify failed" displaying in red at the bottom. I tried to flash the same firmware again and again but now I keep getting "no PIT/partition found" error. The process fails immediately followed by a reboot. Does this mean I have to flash PIT file? If yes, where can I source PIT file for my note 7 and how to flash it using odin?
thanks in advance.

[Q] Bricklooped by 4.4 OTA update, PIT file?

Downloaded and installed OTA KitKat update on my note, phone was perfectly stock, not rooted. After installation the phone is stuck in a bootloop and displays "BOOTING RECOVERY..." but cannot boot to recovery, just restarts over and over.
Tried reflashing via ODIN the stock 4.4 update with stock recovery. Also tried flashing TWRP, Philz and the phone will never boot into recovery - it never gets past the Galaxy Note 3 logo screen.
It occurred to me that there could have been some problem with the PIT that occurred during the initial flash but I cannot flash any of the SM-N900T .pit files found floating around the forum either! The phone returns the SECURE CHECK FAILED: PIT error. Seems like the PIT may need to be a signed file in 4.4? Anyone have a signed PIT file?
Bring to tmobile show Em it won't boot. New phone in mail 2 days later. Just did it last week

Unfortunately I'm not in the US and I don't have t mobile so warranty replacement won't be so easy.

Did you have any luck acquiring a signed PIT file? Any help is appreciated.

None so far.
I'm not seeing any PIT files that will flash under the 4.4.2 bootloader.

Did you ever try using Odin 3.7? I for some reason can flash the PDA file but I have a different PIT file which obviously seems not to work... I think I just need the correct PIT file but am unsure where to get it for 4.4.2... This new update has been a nightmare..

Yeah, I tried odin 3.7, 3.9 and hemidall. Same results, secure check fail: Pit
Update: Looks like there are two versions of the 4.4BL, the latest of which checks for a signed PIT file. It won't work to flash any 4.4 pit from say, a few months ago. Need a PIT fie from someone who updated their phone in the last 2-3 weeks.
*** Nevermind, after a third Odin flash it worked.
Same thing happened to me, stuck on "BOOTING RECOVERY". Any resolution to this?
No solution that I've found. I've tried flashing multiple SM-N900T pit files found on XDA, all return the SECURE CHECK FAIL: PIT error. The phone will not boot into the stock recovery and returns the RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING error with custom recoveries. I've tried the latest versions of TWRP, CWM, etc with the same results.
As this update isn't really out in the wild recently I'd say that updating to 4.4 OTA is a pretty big risk at this point.

Note 2 N7105 doesn't reboot after flashing to stock 4.4.2

Dear all,
I just have a serious problem with my Note 2 N7105. I bought this phone with a rooted 4.3 androit and everything worked fine beside using the automatic update function (over the air update of android).
Therefore I downloaded the german 4.4.2 from Sammobile and flashed it with odin.
sammobile.com/firmwares/download/32565/N7105XXUFNE3_N7105DBTFNE1_DBT
Odin flashed completely with any errors . -> All threads completed. (succeeded: 1 / fail: 0)
But unfortunately it is not rebooting to androit nor reboot into recovery mode. After turning on the phone, I can see the samsung logo and after that it tried to boot and a red exclamation mark pops up and it's restarting again. The only possible thing is to get into the download mode again.
I also downloaded the german 4.3 version from sammobile and flased it with odin - but results stay the same.
I would be very happy about any help. Sorry in advance for my unprofessional explanation.

Could fix it meanwhile - it wasn't a problem of the tar file - the tar file was correct - but whyever the recovery was broken after downloading and installing the cwm recovery I was able to get into the recovery mode again and afterwards also successfully install the stock 4.4.2 tar file from sammobile.

Urgent help

My phone is broken. I rooted it and then installed a custom rom. After that it kept on randomly rebooting. I Then tries putting it back to stock with an md5 file, but it failed half way through. Now it just says firmware upgrade issue. Use recoverymode in kies. I tried but it says my phone is not supported. Now I keep on trying to install ota firmware updates but they keep failing. Please help get my phone up and running asap
Also telling me there is no pit binary
Go here to grab the zip file. Unzip and odin the tar file to bring your phone back.
That did not work it said auth fail

For future reference. When this happens and Odin fails to flash official software you first need to make sure you odin the same software version that is currently running on your phone. If that fails then you can flash the stock unrooted kernel that matches your current software. Another tip, major software update's tar packages will include a sprint pit file. So if you are stuck and unable to flash the stock software with odin then try the first things I mentioned first and if that fails then odin an official rom tar that includes the sprint pit file. (incremental monthly security patches usually do not contain a pit file. Only the first release of a major update will include a pit) The tar packages do check the current kernel so that's the first thing you want to get back to stock when odin fails to flash stock software. I posted this for reference incase others have this problem in the future.

BOG5 update error

I thought I was rooted and unlocked but lost it on reboot. However, I am on BOG5. I'm trying to update to 5.1.1 but I get an error message of "error 7 error installing zip file '/sdcard/update.zip'
The zip I'm using is the safe upgrade BOG5 to PA1. Am I missing something dumb?
Any help would be appreciated!
edit--Looks like the file can only be flashed in twrp which I have now lost.
Stupid easy fix--flashed full firmware and pit--duh!
