Yes me too. I will always stick to AOSP and CM. But what I'm thinking is, Huawei should release updates for all model numbers of a phone.

In here there was a need for this update. Because a company launched free unlimited 4g data, calling , sms for months . That's make whole country go crazy for buying their sim. That's why this update is specifically for India

I think you have to extract the update.app using extract tool. Recovery should be there.
This update mainly includes LTE update.
People have also reported that after this update they are not able to flash custom ROM.
Anyhow this is for stockies.

well i flashed this update. Don't know what will happen now after this !!
This update makes your device too much lagging. Only useful stuff is VoLTE. Battery draining issue.
I returned to slim ROM after trying this nonsense.
I struggled a lot to install custom ROM after this update. I think you have to downgrade to previous marshmallow official ROM to install custom roms.

Yes B360 causes bootloop when flashed with other ROMs because of some internal changes not playing good with AOSP/CM stuff.

@adriansticoid yeah i can sense that. But downgrade always poses issues with the phone. Maybe the boot loader is kinda updated along with modem files.... And strangely the thing is that my phone is now not readable in fastboot mode in windows. Though before this update i got it working. :silly:

Before the b360 update my phone was recognized by fastboot installed in Linux ( not able to update fastboot, some issue with pacman). Later I have to try another fastboot in windows.
Try latest adb and fastboot.

Are you advising me that this update does format the data partition automatically? The previous update (107) left all my data intact, I was hoping this update would too.
Is it worth the hassle when coming from 07? And why do they keep these out of the phones ota? Is the ota just a ******* of ****** that actually does nothing? Galaxy S has had CM otas for a while - and they dont even have the backing of a multinational company.
Nice phone but the software is quirky, is the wifi-idle no data issue ok in the 111? Screen off and the phone turns wifi off and do not start mobile data. The phone is without data till the next time you turn the screen on or some app wakes it locally. Have had Whatsup messages appearing hours late and took a while to figure out why it was happening.
In answer to my question regarding the data being formatted, I have just completed the upgrade from 107 to 111 using the copy to SD card and run the system updater app method and this appears to have left all my apps and information intact and working as they all were before the update. Phew!
All the problems I had with B107 such as the Wi-Fi problem are gone with this update. If you put the dload folder with UPDATE.APP in it, in the root of the SD-card and update trough the system settings>about phone>update>local update, method you're data will be fine, at least my data was fine after the update to B111.

That's the force update method, then you will erase all you're data/files.
For the next update you could use the normal update method (put the dload folder with UPDATE.APP in it, in the root of the SD-card and update trough the system settings>about phone>update>local update) then you're data/files will be fine.

This OTA will upgrade your phone to Android 5.0.1 and bring your version up to 22.21.25
You will need a STOCK phone. STOCK recovery. Your version will need to be 21.11.23.
Release notes: https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/prod_answer_detail/a_id/102639
Captured the OTA today from /cache using adb pull method.
My phone is the US AWS version unlocked from Motorola.
Google Drive Link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwsiWWvGFo4TZ2RpV1R5LW9zd2s/view
Successfully flashed on multiple phones.
I suppose the title of the thread should say version 22.21.25, i'm not sure how to edit the thread title.
You got this ota from 22.11.6?
---------- Post added at 11:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:34 PM ----------
Wow this is the .23 ota
Yeah. This is the one everyone is needing i think.
Awesome! This is indeed the one that I've been waiting for- wanted to update these XT1064s before wrapping them up as gifts (less confusion over UI if they start out at Lollipop). Just successfully updated one of them, the rest should go smoothly as well.
The irony is that on the one I was tinkering with to try to downgrade/force the OTA now has the .17 recovery and build fingerprint and rejected this update. Not a big deal, I think I know how to recover it.
Thanks again who_ohw for the OTA!

You will have to do so from a PC probably. You might be able to do so with certain browsers and request desktop version in the options.
Is this supposed to be a flashable zip? I got 'error executing updater binary in zip'. This is using TWRP 2.8.3.0
You need to be stock. Recovery, kernel, everything. No root.

Confirmed, you can use chrome on you phone, go to the link, go to the three dots in upper right for options, scroll down, make sure request desktop site is checked, refresh browser. There's some odd scaling issues but you should see another 3 dot menu INSIDE the browser, click this, there is a download button.

There are a few threads on how to do this, but this is the most recent that comes to mind. You do not need to unlock bootloader or return to stock if you are.... stock... obviously. Start at step 3.

He's made a flashable zip out of an OTA I think.
I guess if I was on 21.11.23, then I could try this. But I'm on 22.11.6 and it doesn't work. Guess I'm still playing the waiting game.
Thank you for the OTA. Was able to flash using stock recovery over 4.4.4. Took about 20-25 minutes to install and about 5 minutes to clear cache. First boot took a few more minutes. So far running great.

You should flash back to stock and update. Cannot install OTA over a rooted rom I believe.
However, I came from Paranoid Android and followed the advice here, and it worked perfectly. Was able to keep root and TWRP.

I was rooted I use this post, and the is a link in that thread to the actual zip your will need, and also you must have the updated TWRP as well. All the information is in that thread. but that is literally it.
Download update zip
Download Flashfire
download new TWRP
Back up you crap ( will not wipe SD card unless you tell it to )
Run FlashFire, set setting correctly
run it, you will already be rooted when done
set dev mode
re-flash new TWRP
PROFIT
Did you get the option "Restore boot and recovery images" when setting Flash OTA zip? I just got Auto mount and Mount /system read/write.

Yes and everything is ok. Follow the steps carm01 suggests some post above. Its easy and at least for me everything worked. After fisrt boot you can go to TWRP and flash everything else you need.

Yeah. You'll have to re root.

V and X are the same (X more for Verizon)...you can sideload no problem
You must TWRP Backup (Untouched System Image + Boot) before rooting your phone frist time
Then every time OTA realesed you
1- restore that backup
2- flash original recovery
3- update system
4- flash TWRP
5-Rooting device
Thats it

You must TWRP Backup (Untouched System Image + Boot) before rooting your phone frist time
Then every time OTA realesed you
1- restore that backup
2- flash original recovery
3- update system
4- flash TWRP
5-Rooting device
Thats it

Bofahad, is there a difference between TWRP backup and Titanium pro backup? which one is better? I usually use the Titanium Backup.

Titanium backup is just for your apps etc. Twrp backs up your entire device so you can restore it later.

I just got it.
After i look around a bit i have managed to simply destroy a really well working j7 2016.
What i have managed to do
-Install TWRP
What i managed to destroy
-Everything
Extra thing i have managed to destroy
-It`s now warranty void (Because i triggered with TWRP i guess that)
I currently have no running ROM Official or non Official on the phone. So the phone if you start it it shows the name i am amazed that he still knows what phone it is and then black screen. I have made that by deleting everything in TWRP because i tough that is a good thing and by everything i mean the whole ROM. Now i am stuck i can enter in TWRP and in Download mode but none of the ROMS official or custom i can`t install.
What i have tried
-Install custom rom (does nothing)
-Install official rom (it does not let me because it`s something about secure check fail) (bootloader)
I can`t find a ROM or what is the official name of a file that has all the required files to get the phone up and running again.
In odin you don`t need files for every checkbox ? (BL AP CP CSC UMS) ? I`ve tried to put the official J710FNDDU1BQI2_J710FNODD1BQI2_J710FNDDU1BQH7_HOME.tar just on AP and it does not work. Actually nothing is working.
What i can still do
Put the phone in Download mode
Put the phone in TWRP
I don`t know what i can do next to fix this big pile of **** i done to myself because i was bored! HELP?

Are you really trying to help me or give me random program and links. Samsung switch app it`s for transfering files from another phone to your current phone. It does not have anything to do with restoring the device.

Im really really trying to help you. It has a emergency recovery system that restores to stocl if something fails while installing a rom or no boot.
It seems im doing your work which you could have easily googled up.

Region: SER
PDA: J710FXXS5BRC2

Load the file after you have extracted the zip in ap in odin and flash it.
