So 2 days ago my device started having some trouble with the screen. As it is working and everything is fine, the screen becomes unresponsive and you have to lock it, wait for 1-2 minutes, unlock it and then the screen becomes responsive again for a couple of minutes and the same problem occurs after that. I did a soft reset and a hard reset but none of them worked. Also my warranty has expired, so please if you have dealt with the same problem or have any suggestions on how to fix it, let me know.
My d855 is now doing the same thing. Touchscreen reponds, everything's normal. Touch fails until power off manually or times out. I have to wait for 10+ seconds, unlock it and then the screen becomes responsive again for a little while. Repeat.
- Phone works normally with a mouse, so its not crashing/bsod/freezing???
- flashed latest lineageOS prior to issue but same thing persists in TWRP???
Not sure where to begin trying to fix issue, power botton, digitiser, sensors, motherboard or software??? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I love this phone.

I bought a Samsung Glide i927 phone last month in the US, i bought it unlocked as i am from argentine, and i wanted to use it with movistar.
Recently the phone started to crash a lot, by that i mean that the screen starts going white, with horizontal lines and pixels of different colors appearing, then just turn off or restarts itself, only to crash again as soon as it starts an then turns off.
When this happens i try to start the phone and select the shut down option myself to see if the next time it starts it doesnt crash. But sooner or later it happens again.
This problem its happening too often, and not while doing something in particular like running an app or something. Sometimes it crashes just by plugging it to the power adapter, it even shows the white screen with the lines instead of the charging battery image when i charge it while turned off. I have already try to fix it upgrading android or doing a factory reset, but that didnt work.
Anyone have any idea of how to resolve the problem, or if its a hardware malfunction that cant be fixed?
To make things more difficult, as i said earlier im from argentine, and i cant go to AT&T or Samsung to get it fixed or get a replacement. English is not my first language, so please forgive my orthographic mistakes.
Thanks
This really sounds like some hardware problem, but to be safe, learn how to use Odin and use it to revert your phone to completely stock condition (cleaner than factory reset).

I tried to do that, but the first times when Odin try to reboot the phone it just freezes and i have to unplug it. After many tries it finally finished, but the phone keeps freezing and crashing.
The phone even crashes while turned of and conected to the power adapter.
Do you think that with LiteROM 0.9.0, that might fix this issues?
I've got reboots too, try to disable auto brighness
It helps for me

Power button issue
I am having a similar problem. At first, it just happened on rare occasions. However, today, it started doing it repeatedly. The phone was unusable. I did some checking around, and it appears that the power buttons on Samsung phones are prone to sticking. Some people suggest you actually remove the battery and slam the power button against a table. I wasn't going to do that, because I could just see it doing even more damage. What I did instead was firmly tap the power button repeatedly. It seemed to unstick the power button and allow the phone to function again.
Another alternative is to have the power button replaced, but that might be a hassle.
First of all, sorry for my bad english.
I bought it on amazon a few days ago, I have the same problem...
I thing aznemesis is right, because my power buttom is very sensitive, in fact, some times, when I press the button smooth and fast, to turn off the display like, the typical menu appears as if I had pressed the button for much longer period. Which proves your theory. The problem is if I hit the button over a table and the button breaks here in Chile do not exist spares of the terminal
Well, I did. I couldn't stand the desire to do so. After nearly 18 hours, the terminal isn't rebooted again.

The horizontal lines on the screen sound as if it is an overheating issue. What were you doing before your phone shut off? Are you using the factory charger?
cure found
take the battery out...blow on the power button with some compressed gas to get the dust out....then pour a drop of silicone based lubricant on the power button so that most of it gets in the gaps...then hit the power button a few times....haven't had any reboots since then
I have had my Moto 360 for just over a week. For the second time the touchscreen stopped functioning. First time I resolved by turning it off (very long press hardware button) then left overnight and it was fine in the morning. Turning it off and back on again didn't help. Couldn't factory reset because no touchscreen.
Second time is now.
Does anyone else have this problem? Any clues how to resolve?
Thanks.
Edit: After left off for a while (instant off and on doesn't work) it is fine now. Anyone have any clues or better suggestions how to fix?

Yes mine has done it two or three times since the last OTA update, nothing I did to the screen had an effect, had to reboot the watch to recover.

Mine doesn't recover immediately on a reboot but it is nice to know I'm not alone in the problem. It's better to know that you've only had this problem since the OTA. That means it can be fixed in software. Thanks.
Same here
Lost "touch" today on mine. Had the 360 for about 4 weeks and not seen the problem until now. Wasn't even sure how to turn it off until I saw "very long press" - thanks!
Turning mine back on straight away was fine so it was just a turn it off and back on thing. Frustrating, but I'm glad it's a software bug rather a touch screen fault, that would be a real pain. Hopefully, if it's a bug it will be fixed.
i think.....
I think this happens when the moto 360 is not set on your wrist
Ddoes anyone solve this issue ? My new moto 360 touch screen doesnt work at all. So i can choose any language in initial setup
This problem Occurs when no static energy is given to the case of the moto360. As soo'n as You touch The Iron ring The touch Will work. Release it and it Will stop working. Ik think The touch screen works rather like a conductive layer between the back of the watch and the screen it self in which the skin gives the energy needed to control the screen. When the back of the watch isn't connected to skin the touchscreen completely stops working.
In video you see what happens

Mine did this too, however I broke my screen ordered a replacement and haven't had the issue since. When mine quite working if I triple pressed the power button it lock the screen then pressing the power button it would turn on and work though. Sometimes it wouldn't come right back on like it froze or something.

I've been having this problem too, it's more like my weekend watch but last week i noticed that it wasn't responding and i thought it could be a RAM issue. I've done multiple reboots and it doesn't work.
There was only an occasion where i left it overnight till it almost drained completely and it worked again, and then it started freezing again.
So I've had my Tab 3 for a little over 6 months now and have had no issues what-so-ever 'til now. My problem is with the screen just suddenly becoming unresponsive after locking it after use. I swiped my finger across the screen to unlock and got right back into my tablet like normal, but then once I tried to do open up applications from the Home Screen nothing happened. I tabbed lightly and swiped repeatedly trying to get a response.... nothing.
My screen LCD screen is flawless and is original, it has never been tampered with. There are no cracks or scratches or anything it just suddenly stopped working. So I figure it's a software issue, no big deal, right? Wrong. I did a soft reset by holding down the power button, it reboots and comes back to the home screen. Nothing. I figured wth I have nothing important on here, let me do a hard reset. Boot into recovery mode wipe the cache and tablet performing a hard reset. Tablet then reboots to the default setup screen to choose language. Nothing. I can't choose anything. I don't know what's wrong. Lastly, the battery was semi-low around 20% or so before this all happened. So I let it fully charge again hoping that'd help, but nothing. I'm at a loss of what to do next.
NOTE: This is all original and is stock everything. I've never modded this tablet or rooted it. I don't understand how the digitizer would just give out for no reason, it hasn't been dropped or anything.
Any other troubleshooting I can do? I've thought about installing the USB drivers and putting it into download mode to flash a custom rom or even the original to see if it'll work, but I don't want to do that unless necessary. If it is the digitizer are these hard to replace and costly?

well replace a screen digitizer require a basic set of skills on mobile repairing. However I found this on ebay (US) http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odk...en.TRS1&_nkw=T217S+screen&ghostText=&_sacat=0
but you can try to flash into latest firmware by samsung and try again
I installed CM 11 about one year ago and it worked out fine for several months. Some time ago my touchscreen occasionally became unresponsive, so I tried to downgrade to stable version of CM (10.2). It worked out for several days but then the bug occured again so I changed to the newest CM. Still the same problem.
I found out that it might help to downgrade the touchscreen firmware, but couldn't find further information about how doing so.
On this website is a link to a guide in this forum, but it does not work anymore:

Can anybody help me out?
Really appreciate your help, this stuff is getting annoying.
Did the screen become responsive after locking and unlocking the phone again?
Also did you experience any "phantom" touches on the screen?
Because I did, a lot, on CM.
Now, I'm on ViperX and they rarely happen.
Yeah, I forgot to mention this. Locking and unlocking or rebooting the phone will sometimes make the screen responsive again. But if the screen is idle for ~10 seconds it bugs again.
As far as I can remember I never/seldom had phantom touches.
Same Isues

Thanks, dude!!

i have the exact same problem with you and i think is screen related.
i ll perform the proximity sensor check and if it is not the source of the problem,i ll take off my screen, give a cleaning at the connections and put it back on, to notice it s behaviour.
hope i won t break my screen cause it happened before:fingers-crossed:
my screen has started un gluing from the left side of the display and screen is lifted upwards ,i just mention this for the possibility of causing a problem with those freezes during incoming calls, but i can t think of anything.
probably i need to order a new display(not from the same seller of course) cause it is a little dim too,if it s not fixed after trying those i really don t know what i will do with my phone,it really gives in my nerves with this problem(otherwise i m very satisfied of owning it).
i ll come back reporting after making my tests...
EDITroximity sensor check OK,no problem.
cleaned the connections of my screen and i have only 1 freeze after 40 calls, but is still there and is only a day that passed..
i can t target if my problem is hardware or software,i ll flash stock lollipop with flashtool and wait for some days, but if it appears again what should be my next step?
any ideas welcomed..
EDIT 2:after five days on stock 5.1,problem seems to dissapeared,so i supposed it is related to an app...
EDIT3:till now everything is OK.
