Hi,
I've flashed the MK51.1-armani-151221-RELEASE.zip
the problem is that it is stuck at the first boot screen
updating/loadining XXapps out of 92 (maybe92)
updates till 31 and reboots
after reboot updating/loading XX apps out of 61
updates till 29 and reboots
after reboot updating/loading XX apps of 31
updates till 15 and reboots
this happens till
updating 1 apps out of 1
and reboot
updating 1 apps out of 1
and reboots
and reboots
Someone said to me to flash 5.1.1 firmware
if it will work , can u gimme the link ?
Thanks :fingers-crossed:
Happened to me too. Try different gapps (particularly nano or pico ), or use gapps-config.txt to install what you want.
Edit: Btw which rom did you use before this ?.
Heres the link to the firmware : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64177956&postcount=3 Just flash it from the recovery before flashing rom and Gapps.

Helpful hints:
-It's always recommended you do a full update to the current version of the rom number (B170, etc) via ota or dload first before flashing. This is due to things being updated in the ota or dload method that causes everything to work properly. If you're on an older actual system you could run into problems with certain things like apps freezing due to having an older firmware and radio etc.
-To make Permission Manager work, go into Phone Manager and hit the settings icon and turn off Smart tune-up. Then Permission Manager will work properly.
-If apps are randomly freezing, try flashing SuperSU 2.65 in TWRP to fix the problem.
Changelogs:
03-22-16: Updated Kernel to hopefully fix the the app freezing. ADB should work great now. (MD5: dbc9aa5f98aa12b962d576f739b22ab6)

In the newer build of simply google I used the new SuperSU (2.68) and I had freezes so I went back to 2.65 figuring that 2.68 may be a problem. 2.65 has been flawless since it's a stable release and not a beta. In the rom zip just replace the root.zip in the SuperSU folder with whatever version of SuperSU you want. Just rename the SuperSU to root.zip first.

The stock Huawei Keyboard is not included. If others with a different model of Mate 8 try to flash this then they will have no keyboard on boot with the stock Huawei one so I included the Google keyboard instead. I plan on making this work with the AL10 as well. The Huawei Keyboard sucks anyway.
Updated OP with correct link to SuperSU 2.65.

Well at first you should read the instructions on the main post, second you should do some research. If you still have a bootable device download the TWRP from the play store.
Flash TWRP 3.0.4-1.
Use any CM13 you want... here's the first one I found from the list of OP3 ROMs.
Clean flash CM13 over your OB12. If it doesn't work directly, you may have to flash OOS 3.X first to get the correct firmware.
If you don't absolutely need encryption, I would honestly just advise you to decrypt your phone. Causes too much headache when jumping between different ROMs. Decrypting will ensure that TWRP doesn't require a password.

Use the latest TWRP3.0.4-1 or the modified 3.0.2-28. They both work fine with MM & encryption.
Also you need to flash the MM firmware before installing CM13.
I would recommend Sultanxda's CM13. The thread itself has the firmware link included which is required for its working and comes with latest feb security patch.

These roms are stock, have the most common apps optimized by Sony kept in /system, all common functions are enabled.
What's noticeable is that I get 8 hr sot on Oreo with stamina performance mode, haven't tested yet, but Nougat is much lighter, it seems.
version 2 will have google apps completely removed and replaced with ''nanomod gapps'' https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-nanomod-5-0-20170405-microg-t3584928, it will be depend on a xposed module.

I have recovered only the data partitions from an existing backup. Then it became possible to enter the main ui.
However, a message stating that it is still starting.
xperia home,I installed it and it worked.
I installed Evernote app in that state and it does not work.
I installed Google keeps, but it was the same.
So, I installed the unlimited rom patch in xda and it worked.
I got full deodex rom.
I will try the Nano Droid.
Edit. I tried nanodroid. But I cant..
Sadly I have no ability..
GOOD NEWS EVERYONE I succeeded in making xposed work for g8141 g8142 on .179 firmware. I analyzed Chinese frameworks and such. Here is proof.
this mod will be released in 2 days. It is a new rom, basically, just flash it over any .179 firmware and no I cannot release it as patch, because the whole rom is build around the framework.
Just curious if fingerprint is working on this rom??
How can I remove adblocker??
I finally installed your nouga .137 rom
I like it. very very light!!!
I selected country japan or china
keyboard working..
your rom file
+ android webview file
+ xperia home file
I don't have play service error.
I entered main ui.
and
evernote good working..!!
thanks^^
do you have nouga v2 plan??
HUGE thanks to @giri45 for actually providing the fix!
What's this?
A Unity installer ensures that you can use this module with any kind of root solution (as long as it supports init.d)! If you have Magisk, flash the module through the Magisk Manager, but if you don't have Magisk, just flash the module through TWRP. When you want to uninstall the module, flash it again in Magisk Manager or TWRP.
As for the module itself, it provides a fix for LiveDisplay/Night Light on the Moto G5/G5S for anyone running an AOSP-based ROM running Android 9 or higher, and enables Camera2 API + EIS if you wish so.
Do NOT attempt to install this on other devices, or ROMs based on Android <9! Device and Android version checks have been applied to make sure this module will not install on incompatible devices. This module assumes that you are using the latest stock Oreo firmware (including bootloader, GPT and etc.)! Do not report issues if you are not on the latest firmware.
Tested ROMs:
Havoc OS 2.2
Pixel Experience 9.0
AOSPExtended 6.3
crDroid 5.0
Known issues:
Fix doesn't work on Nougat firmware. You must have fully flashed the stock ROM/flashed it via OTA, for this fix to work.
Downloads:
Download from Magisk Repo.
Flash via Magisk Manager or TWRP. Make sure you have a root solution which supports init.d!
Thanx for trying to fix this. Unfortunately it's not working on my xt1794 running AospExtented. First try flashing through twrp failed, the updaterscript didn't recognize my phone (correctly), then installing as magisk module, but no night light..

That's really weird. Installs fine and works on PE, installs fine but doesn't work on ViperOS, and now doesn't work on AOSPExtended.
Could you try providing installation logs located in the Internal storage?
Have you also tried manually replacing the files? If that works, then it's not a problem with the ROM...
