{ Can I } extend to 32GB SD ?

can I use a 32gb SD card in my device ?

you sure can! i am using one now. sandisk class 4. bought it for 29.99 and a 1 day sale! works great along with my internal card!

I'm using one too. Just a note, the internal memory registers to apps as the SD card, while the SD card is located as a folder inside that marked External_SD. I had to redirect a few apps to there to find their data.

Yeah it's really expensive here is the price:
64GB $219.99
but are you sure it can? cause from what I've read SGH-T989 is designed to take up to 32GB's only... I'm curious if it can really take more than that set value of 32GB's. You will see this if you read the owner's manual of the phone

there are many confirmations and videos that have shown it can, even on old HTC and Samsung devices, or many other phones
as for the price, if you think about it
2x 32GB $100 = 1x 64GB $200
so it's just like buying 2 card, but you can use them together at the same time instead of having to take out the back cover + case to swap the SD cards

I bought this and I couldn't be happier. Media loads instantly in the music player as well as gallery. If you look around on our forums there's a speed study where they found that this was the fastest card (for random access). Even better value than the class 10.

basically, with a format of the card, its possible, however the speeds may be bottlenecked by the device itself, not the card.... and from what i read, it should be compatible with ALL micro sdxc cards!! also works on the evo 4g, htc sensation, and galaxy s I

is it overkill? can the S3 even handle this card? i'll be using the camera a lot, if it makes a difference, as it's my only camera. i'll also be moving music in and out frequently.

oops. i guess i read the image wrong, as the specs read 30MB/s, but the pic says 95MB?

Yah I think that's wrong. Looks like the adapter is rated for 95MB/s.

Even though it says "microSDXC" that's a regular sized SD card in the photo, it looks shopped.
The correct card/option should be SanDisk Ultra 64GB microSDXC Card Class 10 UHS-1 Plus Adapter $59.95

It's a 64GB Class 10. I may just walk over to the store and get it. $99 seems reasonable for it right? I don't think I can wait 2-5 weeks for the Amazon deal.

Their reviews are pretty good. I went ahead and order two of these.

i just went ahead and grabbed the local one for $99. i wanted to take a lot of photos this afternoon, and i couldn't wait. love the camera on this phone!

They charged me wayyy too much for shipping last time I bought from them. It was something like $10 and the envelope with my sd card in it (from USPS) said in the corner the cost was less than $2.
On the plus side, though, the shipped me a class 4 card when the description said class 2.

I bought that exact card from Amazon for my SGS3, the phone can handle it just fine. Just make sure you reformat it as FAT32 or it will be useless in recovery if you're using CWM. Once reformatted CWM recovery can see it just fine.

If it's just for mostly pictures, use dropboxes 50GB promotion ( 50GB free for two years) and have the pictures automatically upload. I got it when I first set-up my SGS 3

Today for my AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II, got a ScanDisk ULTRA microSDHC 32GB 30mb/s card that was $69 for $29.99. :good:
I actually got it for my Samsung Galaxy Tab but decided to swap out the 16GB one in the Note II to the Galaxy Tab instead.
Is that a smart move? I like my phone more than the Tab. Which can benefit the most, the Note or the Tab?

I'm a professional photographer and have been using my Note II to show clients my photo's etc.
If I find that the Tab's bigger screen looks as well or better than the Note, I may end up using that one the most.
I won't know till I get the photo's on the Tab as I've only had the Tab one day.
Then again, I won't cart the Tab around everywhere, but the Note II goes everywhere with me...

Sounds like you need 2 memory cards...

The sandisk 32gb cards have been crapping out on a lot of people with Note 2's (me included) theres a link in the Tmobile section with A LOT of people having issues.

Thanks for the heads up. What issues were you and others having?
Maybe the Note II isn't suppose to handle more than what it came with?
Did you format the card once in the Note? Sometimes if you don't do it in the phone, there are problems.
I've had no problems with the Sandisk 16 GB I had in there before.
UPDATE: After seeing your warning, I went to the BB site on the card to check the reviews and sure enough right away I saw they were having issues with the card & Samsung Note II.
It must be an issue with Samsung as I've never had problems with sandisk before and I have several with my Nikon D3 & D5100. Of course those aren't micro ones either.
I wonder if I should take it back and exchange it for this one:

Here are the first two complaints I saw right away on BB reviews:
Worked fine for about 90 days then started showing "reading card" on start ups and suddenly NOTHING. From other reviews it appears to be a common problem with Samsung Galaxy phones. I have a S3 and Note II and the card no longer works on either. If you have the same combo and are coming up on 90 days, backup everything frequently and wait for "Sudden Death", other than that its a great value IF SanDisk PAYS YOU to use it. To be fair perhaps Samsung is part of the problem - but so far no one appears to be part of a solution.

I primarlly use it for my Galaxy Note 2. After 2 months, the phone says that the sd card was unexpectedly unmouted. Then my card was not recognized and blank. I could not reformat it in any way since my computer and any other devices can not recognize it.
After a successfull fix, 2 days later same thing happen and now I can not get it to work at all.

Yup exactly 90 days here, it would say the sd was removed and then it would read it every time i woke up the screen. Everyone in the thread says that the Samsung cards (any size) are the only ones that are having NO problems.

OK, I took my Micro SD 32GB card back to Best Buy and talked to the head tech guy and he said he hasn't heard any problems at his store yet, but said it could be very possible as this was a newer card that is totally new and may have some bugs in it that is just now surfacing.

yep, it works just fine. Fun times.

ok, so still think my sony smartwatch 2 is much more useful at the present in terms of giving me useful notifications, and for some reason i only have like 6 apps available at the samsung store (probably b/c I'm using the note 10.1 international version not the USA Note 3). Still, i have the best of both worlds. My Sony watch for when running around with my xperia z1, and my galaxy gear watch which is wonderful somply for making and taking calls when paried with my note 10.1.
give us some more useful apps please samsung... would love a philips hue app for my watch.

I've had one since Christmas and it works just fine with my note 5. Make sure you don't have anything related to oculus or gear VR disabled.

I love it but I get this weird pixel layer that makes the very low resolution. Watching a 3d 1080p movie looks more like a 240 movie.

Anything above 720p is a waste, that's the best resolution you'll get until 4k or higher screens on phones
