I have just got delivery of my Asus P320 Windows smartphone. But unfortunatly i have discovered that there is no 3.5 mm or 2.5 mm headphone jack on it. I am wondering if there are any 5pin Mini USB to 3.5mm or 2.5mm headphone adapters, If not, is there anything i could use with windows mobile 6.1 to get music through bluetooth to a small module which I could connect a 3.5mm headphone jeack to. Thanks for your help.
yes their is a usb to headphone jack you can buy
.... never seen a small module but you can stream your bluetooth to a bluetooth headset
Yeah I already have an expensive set of New sennheiser headphones which i do not plan to replace. they are wired so If i was to go the bluetooth route it would be to get a small module which I can connect a 3.5mm audio plug into to convert it to bluetooth signals to my phone.
But you say You have seen 5pin Mini USB adapters, Any Idea where you saw them and where i can get it from,,,, specifically?

I am using this one
Works great! Just plug in any 3.5mm headset and you even have call handling and mic on it!
hi,is there anything like that ,that would work on iPAQ 614c?
miniUSB dont carry audio
it's like normal usb a serial digital data transfer std.
thats why htc have extUSB which is miniUSB with analog audio in the extre wires
pc headsets or speakers which use usb are really external audiocards which transfer the
digital data into analog sound
as far as I know no device can use en external audiocard unless it support usbHost which pretty few wmobiles seem to do
ok,thanks, then i'll have to keep on "enjoying" the music with headphones i got with device heh

HI I have the same problem. I have an I-mate Ultimate 8150, I bought it used and when I opend the box I realised that the were no head set or charger.
I'm seeking the polish internet for a adapter 11 pin miniusb - jack 3.5 with no results. I bought an adapter for motorola v3 and it isn't working just like a head set for motorola K1 on miniusb.
I-mate 8150 is very similar to XDA Flame and I think that in those models the sound pins are different do the in the HTC models.
I am looking for some 11 pin miniusb schema (the socket is also used to charge and comunicate with computer).
I've seen an adapter on http://www.imatephonestore.com/accessoryDetail.asp?accMDL=AUDIO_CONVRTR
but i think that the price is too high for such a thing.
Maybe some one knew how to make this adapter or how to remake the motorola k1 headset to work on I-mate 8150
Plaese help me I don't now what else to do thanks
get 11 pin to 3.5 mm
even iam using htc
nd in htc we also have 11 pin jack
i saw one very good converter on :- http://www.amazon.com/Touch-3-5mm-S...tionId=1XM1P73VXKBX6ZQPKN02/mixi-20/ref=nosim
however instead of buying that wt i did i bought a erricsson bluetooth enabled headphones they are cool nd free from entangles nd best part is that even my bluetooth have 3.5 mm jack so i can connect with my car.
Well I bought 2 of 11 pin to 3.5 mm headset adaptor convertor for HTC. Though both are working same but little difference make them very unique. First one is Stereo Converter 11pins to 3.5mm adaptor which simply let me to use my Blackberry curve headset with G1. Other one is cool coz it comes with microphone as well answer switch. I am now using my 3.5 mm headset with G1 and also talking and answering from the same headset converter. Its really cool check this our http://www.fommy.com/accessories.as...obile+G1&cat=Headsets&subCat=Headset+Adapters
Cool I just order one for me the Streo headset adaptor with microphone and answer switch. Along with this I also got 3 in 1 USB adaptor. This one comes with 3 ports to connect 3.5 mm headset jack, 11pins to 11pins HTC adapter and USB connected that can be use to sync or charge G1
11pin is no good, Im looking for the 5pin usb which is on the Asus P320, are there any atall, I have already tried buying a motorola one which has the right connectors but does not transmit any sound.
I have the same phone and looking for the same converter
r there any converters specially available for this phone out yet?
I have AKG's and so youre telling me I cant use them even If I get the USB to audio jack adapter? Also In our store this guy connects his phone to the stereo system in the store with a mini audio (banana plug I think) to the system and plays his music of his phone..can the TYTNII do the same?
BTW, even if I could use the AKG headphones it probably would sound so loud as these are high ohms headphones AKG 240MKII..right? any cheap micro sized headphone amps around?
The mini USB port in asus p320 is actually a 10 pin port (5 on top and 5 on bottom). out of them 5 pins are used for audio and microphone. And others are for USB. Hope this information will be useful for searching 10 pin mini USB to 3.5 mm audio.
I've been using this for my xv6900. It works great.
I have problem using samsung wave's earphones on my hp laptop. The sounds seems crackled and in mono audio types it becomes very faint.. Either i should partially plug earphones or select mono channel in vlc player but this messes up the audio quality. But in my bro's lg optimus earphones everything is fine.
The sound quality on my wave is excellent but on my laptop its bad.. Will I need some other samsung driver or is it a common problem?? My laptop sound driver is up to date...
Thanx in advance....!
This so common
i use my earphone with my laptop and sound is excellent
My brother tried it with his laptop and sound is crap
the solution was to use the earphone half plugged and half unplugged
look for easier understanding put your earphone in your laptop and play music
now sound is just crap
unplug your earphone slowly from your laptop until you find sound is fine
i hope you get what i meant
Best Regards
Yeah even i have that problem and the solution is Given by the Post above my post !! i think its due to the THREE Strips that u can see on the HeadPhone pin on the Wave earphone (All mic included earphones have three strips and ordinary earphones have only two) !!! But better use any other ordinary earphones !!! !! Cheers mate !!!!!!
Thanx for suggestions, but i have been managing from weeks the way u told(found on some hp forum) but problem is it spoils the bass effect and sound becomes irritating rather than pleasent.... so i asked if i could get some driver which could make good use of earphone hardware like the way its played on wave....
Anyways its better i'll get some other earphones..
you dont need drivers for a 3.5 mm audio jack!.....lol
the thing is that the jack is madein such a way!
a normal 3.5 mm jack will have 3 point pin!
1 common
2 left audio
3 right audio
but if you talk about phone they have 4 point pin1
1 common
2 left audio
3 right audio
4 mic
the problem is that each company manufactures
pins with different configuration!..(so that a samsung high end earphone will not play in lg or lower end phones)
and in our headphones second point from the wire end is the mic.....so if the pin is fully plugged in you loose proper sound and when half plugged the common is outside the pin point so you get the mono effect without bass!.....lol
So i tried playing music on my a1 through my earphones ( nokia earphones u get in most nokia phones with a square button+clip) but the issue which came up the sound was distorted , this same thing happened in my pc and if the button on the mic was always pressed then they work normal and awesome. so i pressed the button while listening on phone and they worked normal and nice without any distortion.
AFAIK its based on the jack present on the phone , that the earphone jack supports the jack in the phone.
Am i the only one or everybody has the same thing/jack.

Does anyone else also find that headphone output is too low [loudness]?
Hey guys, had my HTC One M9 a month and a half now and have been using the earphones that came with it a lot. Yesterday on my evening jog the music randomly stopped and i realised that the earphones were no longer being recognised. I tried plugging them into a laptop and a galaxy tab and they were working fine but on my dads old HTC One M7 they also were not recognised. Old apple earphones and earphones for samsung galaxy both worked with the phone. After testing the the jack piece with a voltmeter my brother found that the mic ring was faulty and I came to the conclusion that the phone recognises earphone connection based on the mic sleeve ring.
I was wondering if there was anyway to bypass this detection so that i can get my earphones to work again, I have no need for the mic anyway so it's not such a big deal.
another question is whether or not standard non microphone earphones will work with the phone as I'm considering purchasing RP-HJE120K from Amazon and they don't have a microphone. I've also read that HTC's support CTIA, does anyone know if the OMTP standard is supported?
Thanks in Advance,
Jas
I have a pair of skullcandy headphones w/mic and they work great so i presume any will do.. Tbh there are better earphones out there at a reasonable price compared to the htc ones..

Anyone face the same problem?
I have a Boya BY-A100 External omni condenser microphone. I want to create an amateur home recording. for my bass trombone. The built-in microphone is too noisy and sensitive for me since I can hear "windy" sound when recording in my room, since there is no fan and silent enough. And there is vehicle sound which just passed in front of my house that can be heard clearly in my recording (rather than my trombone).
When I plug the external microphone, It's blinking in notification. And my recording has no sound at all. When I use the recorder app, my sound is just "skipping". It's annoying. I have another lavalier external microphone, but it has the same problem.. But the weird is when I plug my earphone (XIaomi in-ear HD) everything is working fine.
I have found the same problem in YouTube that the use of splitter may work. Then I bought a cheap U-shape splitter with the earphone and the external microphone plugged, then i plug it to my phone. But still, THERE IS NO SOUND AT ALL. It's annoying so much.
My Begonia (Indonesia) is Global MIUI 11 with Android 10 QGGMIXM.
having same problem mate
the same problem with the Boya By - MM1 external microphone
I have the same problem with the Boya By - MM1 external microphone. I read that the problem concerns all external microphones connected to the minijack socket on the Redmi Note 8 Pro phone. When a microphone is connected, the headphone diode flashes and the recorded sound is interrupted at the same frequency. I have reported a problem to Xiaomi technical support many times. I have been ignored. People around the world report a problem with microphone malfunction. This is a common problem. If anyone wants to use an external microphone, the Redmi Note 8 Pro is useless.
Is the problem due to a bug in the android system software or is it a technical defect?
Fix Found!!!!!
The trick is fairly simple.
I have a Boya MM1 mic and it was very very annoying that the mic icon kept blinking in note 8 pro.
Fix is simple.
1. Get a y split cable ... 3.5 mm male to two 3.5 mm female converter.
2. Connection 1 - input The cable with spirals (for DSLRs) to the smartphone to the mic end of the splitter.
3. Dummy connection- Input the smartphone end of the other cord into the other split cable end.
This fix works like magic, for more info
Type external mic not working in XIAOME now 8 pro in YouTube edwin bonus guy.
The video is Japanese but you'll get the gist.
Thank you
Man that was a pain but i luckily found a solution with some cables and adaptors i had at home:
I previously used IRIG pre to connect my condenser mic to my phone via 3.5 mm jack, so what i did from there is connect it to a cheap "ugreen" chinese mini soundcard/splitter (to the headphone/mic combo jack), i connected this to a USB to USB-C adaptor which i then connected to this stupid phone and TA DAM! it worked!
