If i do a Nadroid backup in Rom Manager before flashing a ROM and the flashing goes wrong and the phone wont boot.
Is there a way to Restore the Nadroid backup and get to the ClockworkMod menu without hooking the phone up to a pc and running windows tools.
The only menu i can get to is the HBOOT one which gives me the options
FASTBOOT
RECOVERY
CLEAR STORAGE
SIMLOCK
if i choose recovery , the phone reboot to a black screen with a phone and a red triangle with an exclamation mark.
when your phone is at the screen with the phone and the red triangle with the exclamation mark press vol-up + power button
a blue menu will then appear, select 'apply update.zip' (this ensures that you have update.zip on the root of your sdcard.
if you root your phone using unrevoked then this blue menu will be replaced with the clockworkmod recovery meaning no more phone with red triangle and exclamation mark.
if you use unrevoked, you can reboot into recovery simply by holding volume down when turning on your phone.
hope this helps
superb just tried it. thanks so much for that

Try releasing your fingers upon seeing Samsung Galaxy Note 2 i.e upon boot up. Did you check if your volume button works? It seems that what you did was power+home+vol down that is why your on downloading mode. Hope it helped.

thanks for reply
1- the volume buttons works fine
2- the displayed screen is not the download mode (in download mode the yellow triangle appear, and a warning appear and ask you to continue press volume up,and an information of the device appear on the top of screen etc...)
3- i hold press the vol up+home+power until the "samsung galaxy note 2" appear and then disappear for the first time, in the past the "samsung galaxy note 2" appear second time then i release my fingers, then it disappear and then the device boot into recovery.
but now the "samsung galaxy note 2" doesnot appear the second time, and the "downloading" screen appear
Not loading onto Philz recovery mode screen
I added or rooted using Odin on my Note2 running android 4.3 however when I enter boot recovery it loads with the following options:
Reboot system Now
Apply update from ADB
.
.
.
.
Apply update from cache
It did say Pass on Odin when I followed the process to install Philz.
Not sure what I am doing wrong. Please suggest
Hello,
I have a problem with a Samsung galaxy s plus
Im flashing TWRP and the Cyanogenmod version 12 on this device, after that, the device show me the error message "encryption unsuccessful"
I try to boot in recovery mode but that is not possible., on the screen the teamwin logo is flashing.
when the teamwin picture is indicated , adb tools will recognize it in "recovery mode"
But when I try to flash something , it will indicated "waiting for device"
I try to flash the bootloader with odin though odin doesnt recognize the s plus.
So I booted in recovery mod and had this image on the display for almost a second and then disappeared. It happens every time I enter in recovery mode.
Any idea what's up with this?
Normal, pretty sure they all do it, when they boot into recovery they look for update.zip initially and don't find it
Think I've seen it saying "Update not found" or something along those lines, nothing to worry about
